Over the weekend, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif defended the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from the mean ol’ meanies who have rightfully denounced them:
Today, Iranians–boys, girls, men, women–are ALL IRGC; standing firm with those who defend us & the region against aggression & terror.
— Javad Zarif (@JZarif) October 14, 2017
Nice try, Javad.
No we are not! I never forget getting beaten down and tear gassed by IRGC in the streets. They are why we are suffering now!

You are misinformed sir, I am an Iranian and I am not IRGC.

I’m not IRGC. I’m not terrorist.

No, I’m not IRGC, we, men, women, boys and girls, people of iran, hate IRGC.

When @JZarif says "we" he doesn't mean Iranians, but "Iranian regime guys" who follow Vilayat-e Faqih. IRGC doesn't represent Iranian people

You're hands are drenched in the blood of millions across the region. #Iran'ians hate the #IRGC & you represent none of the Iranian people. pic.twitter.com/OAGG7P4doU

I'm not and will never be part of your murderous regime.

Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lent his own voice to the chorus of those setting the record straight about the IRGC, complete with some parting advice for Zarif:
My message to Iran's foreign minister: Delete your account pic.twitter.com/i0Ca57uc4u
— PM of Israel (@IsraeliPM) October 16, 2017
That’d certainly be a good start.
