So apparently Piers Morgan tweeted something not-so-bright about the Olympics, specifically about medals.
Just can't get excited by Silver & Bronze medals.
You win or you lose.
Gold is all that matters. #Olympics2016— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 10, 2016
And when he was called out for said not-so-bright tweet, Piers being Piers, he doubled down on it.
Ask real winners like Ferguson, Mourinho, Phelps or Bolt if coming 2nd or 3rd means anything.
There's your answer.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 10, 2016
Perhaps it is his lack of athletic competition in general that outraged so many people.
Or the fact that he comes off as sort of a jerk.
@KellySotherton @TeamGB being in the top 3 in the world in your sport is a great achievement. You do spout some nonsense, Tubs.

IN THE WORLD.
Billions of people, top three – yeah, that’s pretty impressive but oh no, Piers wouldn’t have any of that.
Winning is a great achievement, Jugs. Anything else is losing. https://t.co/cxmCYSicQ5

Tubs, jugs … the British are odd.

Seems he upset more people without medals than with them.
They should be more upset winning silver and bronze. https://t.co/X6iM0Zi7jO

*eye roll*
@GaryLineker @KellySotherton does that mean you not being in the top 1million journalists means you've underachieved?
— Samuel Lang (@SamuelLang1996) August 10, 2016
I am the most followed British journalist on Twitter in the world. https://t.co/6kZV0MlTu8

Oh brother. Ok people, scoot over, we need to make some room for Piers’ ego.
I'm going to have to write a @DailyMail column about this Olympics/winning business, aren't I? First, a Phelps-like swim in my LA pool. ??
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 10, 2016
Double oh brother.
If one of your dear children won an Olympic Bronze medal, you would consider they are a failure?
— Sheila Cleary (@anfieldsbc) August 10, 2016
I'd prefer them to win a Gold. https://t.co/ZsGcLypuZL

And sigh.
