Football players at Grambling State University in Louisiana went public last week with complaints about unhealthy facilities and decrepit equipment.

The team boycotted its most recent game against Jackson State in Florida this weekend. Student journalists tweeted photos of the yucky conditions the athletes face. Now, according to sports reporters on Twitter, the administration is punishing…the students.

Shoot the messenger.

The incriminating photos:

Sunlight — and Tilex — are the best disinfectants.

With facilities like those how did they get any recruits to commit to Grambling?

    • Vanakatherock

Simple: They don’t take them on tour of the rough patches of the school.

    Pension funds!

“..instead of addressing the problem, kill the messenger. That makes sense.” That’s just what liberals always do? They don’t make sense and why so shocked?

Most of GSU’s classrooms are cooled by window units. The buildings are deteriorating around the students.

I could have gone there basically for free because I am White, but after seeing the shape the buildings were in, I chose Louisiana Tech. And that was 12 years ago.

    Grambling = Historically-black university.
United Negro College Fund motto = “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
Grambling students, 2013 = Used their minds to figure out “something’s not right here.”
Grambling = “Don’t use your minds, if those minds tell you to show Grambling in a less-than-perfect light.”

Translation = OMG, I think them students done got uppity! Well, we gon’ show them how things work here on the plantation…

No money for maintenance. Lefty professors are waaay expensive don’t ya know.

  • 3seven77

So where are all the “racism” screaming, lefty-liberal types with deep pockets? Can’t they step up and help? Hey Chris Matthews, can’t you donate a few bucks to help fix this? Chris Noth? Toure’?

Just a normal part of their progressive curriculum. That trains them to respect and fear the established governing body so they can find secure jobs as the journalists of the future where they should know better than to expose any thing negative about the hand that feeds them. Top notch lap dogs!

Shocking. Not the mold mind you, rather the observation that they’ve yet to blame this on a conservative.

Give it a couple of days. They’ll figure something out. My money is on them somehow drawing a connection between this and the #shutdownthatwasnt.

Ok Maxx, I’ll go ahead and do it, just for the heck of it. I know it is scandalous and I should be ashamed, but here goes- “It’s Bush’s fault! Or Sarah Pleadin’, or Ted Cruise(Is he really Tom’s brother?) or the TeaParty must have come in and put tea in the water, or on the walls, or….somewhere. Yea, yea, tha’s it. that’s the ticket, call PMSNBCDEFGHIJKL……..!”

Kill the mold, not the messenger!

    This is really sad.
