Bernadette Hernandez, the mother of pop superstar Bruno Mars, died in Hawaii after a brain aneurysm. She was 55. The mother of six was a hula dancer and singer who nurtured her musical son from a young age.

When Bruno was 4, he recorded a darling tribute to his mom: “I love you, mom.”

Condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear this. Peace to their family and friends as they make sense of this shocking event.

    Man, this sucks.

  • Bumr50

    My condolences.

I never met my mother, as she had a brain aneurysm while I was in utero when she was just 24.

Bruno Who? Must be for those under 40, or maybe under 30.
No insult intended. Is he a ‘rapper’?

    • AWomaninTX

      He’s a talented singer/song writer. A real singer, too.

      • AWomaninTX

        He has many others.

I’m with you, Bruno Who? And while I send my condolences for his loss, I question that this is big news now? Everybody in the world loses someone close to them and what we believe is before their time. Shall we tweet out the news of all premature deaths? Then again, I believe no one dies before they themselves, on some level of awareness, intend to.

If you don’t know who he is just shut up and not make any stupid comments.

How very sad to lose someone you love when they are so very young.
My best to those who knew & loved her at this time.

My condolences to Bruno Mars on the death of his mother. How sad that the woman had to die so young.
