Spanish-language network Univision will interview President Obama about his immigration pander plan tomorrow. We assume the anchors will pose as objective, neutral questioners. But the above tweet from the network reveals a rather biased, and rather shallow, perspective on the topic.

So most of us came from somewhere else.

So?

What kind of silly argument is that for or against enforcing our borders and rejecting another welfare-expanding amnesty? And what is any supposedly neutral network doing tweeting open-borders propaganda from the George Soros-funded Think Progress?

One Twitter user responded with succinct and on-point snark:

Science has determined (so far) that EVERYBODY came from somewhere else, either via water or land-bridge…

I thought Obama came from Hawaii. Is Univision saying that Obama came from someplace else?

This blurring the lines between legal and illegal is so tiresome.

UniVision is a direct mouthpiece of the Mexican government. What exactly do we expect?

Soooooo….. How long exactly does it take before someone actually born here can say that the land currently called the United States is their “native country”? Most of the talking heads on Univision wouldn’t fit their definition of a “native american” ….Spanish/Portuguese/Dutch/French blood and all.

I can’t just show up in any other country and demand citizenship, healthcare, food, housing, driving privileges, or voting privileges. Further, I would be ashamed to go to that country and demand that country’s citizens start printing signs in English and make English a defacto official language.

What Univision and most Spanish speaking groups fail to acknowledge is that people coming up from the southern part of the continent are not truly leaving behind everything they knew as “the Old Country.” They often go back and forth, and send loads of money back to the family in the south.

They don’t have the same motivation to assimilate and develop a loyalty to the country as did immigrants from Europe, Africa and Asia. They also are greeted with Regressive feel-good programs to mandate translators, assistance programs and “free” health care in the ERs of hospitals.

Here’s an idea for Latinos. How about thinking of yourselves as Americans first and Spanish speakers second or third. I guess I’m a racist for wanting you to grow up and vote for what will keep America from swirling down the financial crapper.

Exactly! And the really should stop waving Mexican flags at events where they are trying to say “look how American we are”. It really shows their priorities when a vast amount of Latinos are “devout” Catholic yet vote for the party that is pro-abortion and booed God at their national convention. Good luck explaining that one to Saint Peter!
