During the Golden Globe awards a few weeks ago, there was a blue-on-blue catfight moment between liberal comedy writer of the moment Lena Dunham and veteran, left-wing comedy queens Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Twitchy had the lowdown here.

Apparently, Fey hasn’t gotten over the ageist diss. At tonight’s SAG Awards, she made a reference to Dunham’s swipe while accepting her 5th SAG Award for her “30 Rock” performance.

Meow.

Any of these inbreds have mothers than had living children?

    • Andre Richards

      How original.

    • http://www.vatican.va/ Rulz

      Liberals generally don’t have children.

      • TocksNedlog

It’s much easier (fewer stretch marks!) to indoctrinate the children of others.

    • TocksNedlog

Do you mean on a percentage basis?

    • ceemack

Is there a modern English translation of that comment available? I can read Chaucer in the vernacular, but I can’t quite figure out what this person is trying to say.

Whatever it is, I don’t think it’s very nice.

So a fat, buck-toothed lib is having a bitch fight with a scar-faced lib. Someone lock them in a room with a vacuum so they can abort each other.

Only Rush Limbaugh can do angry, impotent white guy humor well. Get back to flipping burgers.

      • http://www.vatican.va/ Rulz

Rush Limbaugh should get an honorary doctorate (at least one) for saving AM radio and for soundly defeating liberal arguments for over 20 years.

Are you a regular listener, Andre? Somehow, I doubt you are and are simply regurgitating talking points from left of center pundits.

Sounds pro-life and Christian to me!

So, you’re presuming religious affiliation and abortion position? That is not the slightest bit judgmental…how? Furthermore, you might be well served to look up the definition of hyperbole.

So nice of you to compliment DeadBuffalo Podcast. It isn’t often that you crazies have a lucid moment when you give positive feedback.

So, let me get this straight: Lena Dunham’s moment of fame went to her head, and she thought she could just insult one of the queens.
This is why I don’t keep up with Hollywood. It’s packed with idiots.
Cudos to Ms. Fey for reminding that nitwit who’s still on top, though.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002109532283 Jillane Kent

Yet, Fey has mocked Palin mercilessly and been congratulated for her efforts. It would appear that her skin is quite thin whenever she is on a similar receiving end.

      • Lady 12

…as I said, I ignore Hollywood most of the time, so that was news to me. Not surprising news, just news.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002109532283 Jillane Kent

I agree with your sentiment, completely. My reply was meant for Dan.

          • Lady 12

Okay, gotcha. It’s still completely unsurprising news to me.

Mocked Palin? What? She was asked to be on a sketch show. It is her job. SNL mocks any and all politicians.

I may disagree with Tina Fey’s political views but I find her funny and talented. 30 Rock is one of favorite shows and I liked Mean Girls. Tina Fey has more talent in her little finger then Lena Dunham.

    • Sam

Tina seems bitter and unlikable to me, but I absolutely adore Amy Poehler. Parks & Rec is one of the few shows I watch, and I would love to have a no-nonsense candidate like Ron Swanson run for president on the Republican ticket. If I were to isolate myself from all liberally-produced entertainment, I’d have to throw out my TV.

      • Dan Thorpe

How does she seem bitter? I guess I have never really seen anything to argue that point. The way that I look at it is Amy Poehler and Tina Fey came from the same beginnings (they both started in the Chicago comedy troupe Second City). She worked hard to get where she is and she knows that people watch her to laugh and I find myself laughing quite a bit when 30 Rock is on.

        • Sam

My first time seeing her on SNL was right after the 2000 election, and that’s where I got the bitter impression. Agreed that she is intellegent and hard-working, I’ve enjoyed watching her in many things, but that first impression rubbed me the wrong way.

        • FranklinWasRight

I liked her until I watched her accept the Mark Twain Award for American Humor. She made a point to insult Sarah Palin during her acceptance speech, which I found classless. I’m not a Palin fan, but I don’t understand all the hate either. It was completely unnecessary.

      • Guest

You know that Rom Swanson is a humorous, satirical character, right? Pohler very liberal and is actually more politically engaged than Fey in her off-screen life.

      • Weevil

Jack on 30 Rock is a a republican and the most rational, humane person on the show. Who is almost always right about everything. Whereas Ron is constantly being proven wrong in his libertarian ways.

Lena Dunham should call Sarah Palin for advice on how to handle Tina Fey when she gets obsessed with you.

  • Teresa Davis McCormick

I make a point of not listening to anything that comes out of Tina Fey’s mouth. so Blah blah blah. Who cares?

  • TocksNedlog

Tina Fey is very beautiful and very talented.

Politically, she is one of the stupidest people that has ever existed.

  • ceemack

I hate to admit this, because I really detest what she did to Sarah Palin, but Tina Fey’s still kinda hot.

Lena Dunham? Not remotely hot now, and not likely to improve with age. When she talked about her first time having sex, my first thought was “Geez, who was the poor b*****d that had to do that?”
