Bad, but not altogether surprising, news for fiscal conservative fans of VP candidate Paul Ryan. He voted yes.

Get your airplane sickness bags, ready, conservatives:

Update: See who voted for this abomination.

  • Lady 12

The GOP has been the biggest disappointment of the decade, AND it’s been its own worst enemy.

    • Robot F. Kennedy

It does my heart good to see the party of Reich-wingers splitting apart at the seams.

      • Lady 12

Oh, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings. In this case, that would be Michelle Obama. So until she starts singing, don’t plan any victory parties. We will. Not. Give. Up.

        • Robot F. Kennedy

The fat lady singing? Surely you mean Ann Romney’s catchy “I LOVEEEE YOU WOOMEEEEEENNN!!” tune at the RNC.

          • Lady 12

Only more evidence that liberals look at the world in the reflection of a fun house mirror.
And by the way, it was “I love you women.”

          • Osumashi Kinyobe

She doesn’t yet get that she is in the poorhouse, Marta Stahlfeld. She will.

      • Howzah123

Nazis were Radical Left Wing Collectivists like you

        Obvious troll is obvious

      • Osumashi Kinyobe

I think you need to be reminded, Memoria, that YOU are poor now.

      • operanerd1986

Impressive; Godwin’s Law in the first response.

    • JimmyJusticeUSA

the biggest disappointment or enjoyment (depending on your POV) of the last decade is the tea party’s not only willingness to eat their own but its a deep down desire to do so with glee

      • Lady 12

Right, I keep forgetting that it was the Tea Party that throes all its members under the bus.

  • $30158943

Republicans are so worried about being primaried by wingnuts even crazyier than they are that they are incapable of doing anything. What a worthless pack of losers.

    • Osumashi Kinyobe

      You spelled “crazier” incorrectly.

      • Guest

What do you expect….99% of LIBTURDS are illiterate!!!

  • steveegg

Looks like they want to break GHWB’s 39% vote record low by pandering to the Occupiers. I’ll help them by leaving my Congressional ballot blank – Ryan no longer needs my vote.

  • JimmyNeutron

I am significant;y more conservative than most of my Republican friends. Also, Ron Paul was by FAR the most conservative candidate this year – not even close. My voter ID says “Republican” – I’ve avoided Libertarian because…well…have you seen most who call themselves Libertarians? Some are amazing, many are simply pot heads who think that is all Libertarians are – so, I don’t self identify that way. After tonight, watching the spineless bastard Republicans I am done with them. Honest to God I have more respect for Pelosi and Reid than Boehner, Ryan, McConnell, et al – and I HATE Pelosi and Reid. But, the spineless Republicans are truly their bitch and I hate weakness more than I hate Pelosi and Reid. So, I’m now a Libertarian – proudly. The idea is that the Libertarian party doesn’t need to shift as much to represent 100% of my views as the Republicans would. The Republicans are too far gone now – like the Whigs. Time for something new. Hope I am still welcome here as a Libertarian.

  • Osumashi Kinyobe

Not happy about what Paul Ryan did.

  • RblDiver

Dismayed, but not surprised. If I find that my local rep was one of the 85, I won’t vote for him again in the future. I sure hope give-up Boehner loses on Thursday.

  • Rob

Something smells rotten in Denmark. The US government no longer has any legitimacy.

  • lllvlll

Paul Ryan is dead to me now and LOTS of others as well. What I can’t stand is his rhetoric that this is somehow a good deal! On what planet? If he didn’t throw the lipstick on the pig and regretfully voted for it, I still wouldn’t be a fan, but I wouldn’t have lost every shred of respect I once had for him…but I did. He’s a liar; he’s insincere, so I’m sure we’ll see his stinking carcass around for years to come.

  • Justin Case

The Republican party is done. Stick a fork in it. If you’re a fiscal conservative they haven’t, won’t, can’t deliver. If you’re a social conservative they haven’t, won’t, can’t deliver. Face the facts. If you’re supporting the Republican party you are a fool or worse.

  • Grumpa Grumpus

Tell me again how the “Take back the Republican Party” thing is going?

The 1st attempt lead to Ronald Reagan… and ONLY him. He fought the system, was given his shot by a private group of patriotic people w/deep pockets.

The GOP-Progressives backed GHWBush. When RR won at the convention, he took GHWBush as vp.

His own party, incl. McCain fought him every step in both houses. And during that time they started seeding the ground for Campaign Finance Reform.

And we still got a mostly conservative house — as a response to GHWBush’s Progressivism.

So the Progressive-Republicans set about changing their internal rules, which they completed this past election by a voice-vote where the “nays” — which legitimately carried the vote — were ignored.

AND working with their fellow Progressives, of the “D”-variety, to minimize, dilute, and erase as much as possible what R.R. tried to do and what he actually accomplished.

Then, end of Clinton’s 1st term, we started hearing about “taking back the party”… when Constitutionalists hadn’t held it since Dewey (a Proggie-Repub, btw) ran.

    We are being MANAGED, friends.

We’re told “it’s too hard to start a new party!”

When was anything worthwhile easy? If we’d not listened to the siren-song of these pied-pipers we’d be well-established by now and be free of the 100yrs of demonizing the Proggies put into the Repubs would have been resources wasted by them.

But, by all means, listen to the professional natterers! It’s probably too late anyway.

I hope, for my posterity’s sake, the “Progressive”(-ly) Dark Age rapidly coming upon us doesn’t last too many centuries…

Sorry I’ve been away. I’ve been “under the weather” — and increasingly lack stamina, as expected at this point.

I pray everyone has had a nice Holiday (i.e.,Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year) season!

Thankfully, MY congressman(Neugebauer) voted against this mess-and tomorrow Texas will say goodbye to Kay Barely Republican and hello to Sen. Ted Cruz. We have high hopes.

And now, the end is near,
And so the GOP faces the final curtain

    Take it from there, folks.
