Snicker. Even more embarrassing?

Yes, that hilariously happened.

A Twitter user offers a flashback that sums it all up brilliantly:

Ah, memories! Good times, good times. How statesmanlike!

        P O T A T O E

        • Perry

Oh yeah, that was a graaaave sin that had to be mocked for years. Kinda like the media did with “57 State” Obama. Oh, wait………

          • William2010

            Perry,

Dan Quayle, a guest taking part in a school spelling bee, allegedly was given a list on which were the words Dan Quayle was to view while the Bee competitors spelled their word. The spelling of “Potato” was “Potatoe” extracted from an edition of an older dictionary.

That makes the entire mocking of Quayle a fraud, and an indictment against the arrogance and bigotry, condescension, and self absorbed, egotistic pomposity of many uninformed, ill informed haters.

If a Bee speller were asked to spell the word “Defense,” but spelled “Defence” would those who mock Quayle for reading the spelling he held in his hand, given to him by the school, know that both spellings are correct?

Defense is, or was used in Britain, while the spelling “Defense” is used here in the United States of America.

Of course, for some, like the famous television character “Fonzi,” and for others around the nation, “Da fence” is another spelling, as in, “Mickey Mantle hit dad ball over da fence!” (grin)

            That’s your judgement or judgment.

          • William2010

Is that like “Dialogue,” and “dialog?”

My son’s middle name is pronounced “Gihn Luhng,” a Chinese name.

The spelling could be “Gin Lung,” or a variety of others, so long as the phonetics allow a non-Chinese speaking person to pronounce it properly.

Same with our other son and two daughters. Their names could be spelled different ways, so long as they are pronounced properly, phonetically.

Example: Nathanial, Nathaniel (most frequent spelling), Nathaneal, Nathanyal, and so on.

Gabriella, Gabriela, Gabryella, and on and on.

That is my judgement, or judgment, or dgudgmeant … (grin)

Faster than a tick of George Bush`s rapidly fibrillating heart, the minds of most Americans jumped from concern for the president to Dan-Qualye-oh-no.

The one-heartbeat-away-from-being-president quips instantly took on a stunning and sobering possibility. Dan Quayle could-really could-be changed from a nice nonentity to the leader of the free world in seconds.

Bush is quickly recovering from what turned out to be a thyroid problem, not a heart ailment. But worries about a President Quayle aren`t that easy to treat and may be impossible to cure.

Europeans Are Jittery With Quayle an Irregular Heartbeat Away

      By WILLIAM E. SCHMIDT

The irregular heartbeat that President Bush experienced over the weekend has also set off some nervous flutters in Europe, where commentators and newspaper editorials have been raising questions about Vice President Dan Quayle’s competence to take over at the White House.

      therealguyfaux,

I like the caveat requiring questions as follows ….

“Joe Biden …… is one of the leading statesmen of our time … ”

      Question: “Of how many?”

I think that Obama and his propaganda machine, leftist press and leftist entertainment industry, baby slaughter obsessives-cultists, et al, will “doctor” that statement by saying “If you include all the millions of statesmen, he would be one of them, hence he is ” … one of the leading statesmen of our time … ”

      Oh, NOW I understand.

That makes me “One of the smartest, most intelligent, most brilliant, handsomest, sexiest, most well educated, strongest, tallest men who ever lived, as well as one of the most deadly fighters who ever lived …. among the billions of human beings who have lived.”

By far, the best display of Biden’s stupidity was at a campaign event where he called on Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham to stand up and be recognized, then sees that Graham is wheelchair-bound. Worse, he compounds the embarrassment by urging the crowd to stand up instead: “Stand up for Chuck!”

What’s shocking is the deafening silence from the lapdog media about Bob Gate’s claim that Biden is anti-military! Biden walks around trying to sound like he’s everyone’s friend and knows best but the truth is he’s a career political hack who’s filled his own coffers over decades in office with no achievements to show for it!! The fact that biden charges the Secret Service rent to protect him in his own home and also donates virtually nothing to charity says volumes about the two faced snake!

  • AmericanMom

Obama lies a lot. Take 100% of what comes out of his mouth, subtract 99% and you’ve got the truth in that remaining 1%. By the way, since he won re-election, reminding all that he’s got a lot more “flexibility” (by his own promise to Putin) when he negotiates with America’s enemies.

The last one was at a Police officer’s funeral.

I don’t like Biden, and think he’s a buffoon, but misplaced mockery, especially at a funeral situation is unwarranted. In that one I think he is trying to comfort the man to his left.

If you look at his badge, it has a black stripe across it, meaning that a police officer had died.

The others… especially the one with the woman on his lap (not your pics, but the main one) is the best because of the look on the guys’ faces behind him.
