Fox News’ Brit Hume has pulled no punches when reporting on the reality of the Obamacare debacle. His retweet on Sunday nutshelled it.

“This” pretty much sums it up. It’s the horrendous and devastating law itself. Period.

Hume also made this insightful observation upon the news that a disabled woman was reportedly denied entry to the United States over supposedly private medical information:

Keep the truth-booms coming, Mr. Hume.

  • TexasMom2012

Gotta love Brit Hume. Is Virginia Hume any relation? Inquiring minds wish to know!

Sheesh, how long before our border agents just hold out their hands and demand in a poorly done Slavic accent: “Papers, please?”

    • The Man from Scene 24

Very little chance of that happening since they’ve been ordered not to detain illegals.

  • Silence DoGood

A look at the cost structure of the ACA, for those who are interested. Good luck

  • Hotlanta Mike

An equally adequate metaphor would be the sinking of the Titanic – there were not enough lifeboats to save the entire crew and passengers.

    • Suzyqpie

The Titanic at least got out of port.

      • bluewaternavy

Obama would have built Titanic with a screened bottom. Would have made for one helluva launch! 😉

    • sardiverdave

“The lifeboat you could’ve had was substandard, and if you’re patient and float in the water for a day or two, a better lifeboat will be along.”

    • walterc

The titanic had four days of fun, and the captain went down with the ship.

    • ObamaFail

It’s really not fair to compare Obamacare to the Titanic.

  • ConservativeTexan

Putting more lipstick on this pig won’t help.

  • addalled

So that is Brit’s wife? The headline is confusing. All I see is the Brit Hume tweet at the bottom where he links to the article about the disabled woman.

    • TheForgottenTimeZone

      I’m pretty sure it is.

      EDIT: Not…see dagwud’s comment below.

    • TexasMom2012

He retweeted Virginia’s tweet and thus it got a lot of notice.

  • Bryan Ewbank

Of course, to understand the tweet you need to understand “metaphor” is not something comes between “metathree” and “metafive”.

  • addalled

This is so confusing. The tweet is by Brit Hume’s WIFE. And I don’t see any re-tweet by Brit but instead I see Jim Quillen. But I do see where he posted about the disabled woman at the bottom. What am I missing here?

    • JettieG

      Yes. I am confused.

    • Stephie Sky McKinley

As an American they find it distressing that the Canadian Federal Government and the NSA are sharing the medical information of private citizens. The Canadian was denied entry based on a bout with depression she had a year ago.

As American’s we saw this coming …the ACA website even states that users of healthcare . gov have no reasonable right to privacy and must agree to continue.

Funny how you can’t come in if you had depression but you can enter by the millions if you come in from the south.

    • Freedom_Isnt_Free

This is not just for addalled but also all the others on this same subject. What the h*ll does who the tweeter is? You either like it or dislike it, agree or disagree. Stay on the original topic!

      • addalled

Look at the title. It makes no sense. What is the topic? Brit Hume is not Virginia Hume. Jim Quillen is also not Brit Hume.

        • JohnFLob

The title makes more sense than any of your comments.
Do you comprehension capabilities require only small morsels.

          • addalled

Check again. The quote ‘This!’ was made by Jim Quillen, not Brit Hume.

    • JohnFLob

I would be more than happy to tell you what you are missing but then I would be banned from this site.

      • addalled

Go ahead and post it. Even liberals are welcome here.

    • HanaFiveO

      B. Humes tweet is at the bottom. Read the article he posted. Then you wont be missing anything.

      • addalled

I see that. But the title of the article is just sloppy.

        • HanaFiveO

His tweet is the boom. They often tweet off each other, she pitches and he hits the ball out of the park.

If your not familiar with them I could see how you might be confused, but if you are, and Twitter is what this site is all about, it makes perfect sense and isn’t sloppy at all in context.

          • addalled

I’m very familiar with Twitter. Signed up 2007. But the article writer shouldn’t make assumptions. Do we know if this is Brit’s wife, daughter or mother? Other commenters are asking too.

          • HanaFiveO

          • bluewaternavy

Brit knows who she is so I see no problem.

          • addalled

Maybe but the headline also implied that the “This!” quote was from Brit Hume but it was actually from Jim Quillen’s retweet.

        • Scotty G.

“What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?” H. Clinton

      • ELC

        It makes more sense now…thanks!

        • HanaFiveO

          Your welcome. :)

    • ceemack

Look more carefully at the first tweet from Virginia Hume.

      • addalled

The title doesn’t match the content. Jim Quillen said “This!”…not Brit Hume. Also need more clarification about Virginia’s relation to Brit, if any.

      • ELC

        Got it thanks!

  • perky3238

MOre and more this is seeming like that old “sci fi” Gattica

  • rssllue

    Obamacare is like an onion.

There are just too many metaphors in this scene to count, and all so very true!

  • HanaFiveO

It just gets worse every day.
Now insurance companies are bringing in independent contractors to get folks covered because the government site is a dismal failure. They would rather eat the added cost than see a huge insurance gap for millions of Americans.

The nerve! How evil are those darn insurance companies any way???//////

  • ELC

Its up and working again…supposedly, till the next time it crashes which should be momentarily. Honestly, I don’t trust Odumbo, this administration and this website. Haven’t logged into it yet…will do so before the 23rd deadline unless the goalpost is moved again. I don’t trust giving info on that site.

Obamacare sucks. Most people will pay higher premiums and larger deductibles for much narrow networks and poorer care. The nation’s top hospitals aren’t even accepting Obamacare patients.

  • The Man from Scene 24

If Omabacare is so great why hasn’t Obama signed himself up for his namesake piece of legislation? Did he even read his own bill?
