Please wait … and wait.

As Twitchy has reported extensively, the federal Obamacare health exchange website is one long exercise in futility. Glitch-filled and error-ridden, it continues to be non-functional for all intents and purposes. State exchanges are faring no better.

Luckily, the user experience has been summed up in one side-splitting picture. Giggles are the best medicine! So there’s that?

The article itself is a must-read, too.

As for the aching-sides photo? It’s funny because it’s true.

    O/U on 100% functionality (inc. customer satisfaction)…?

  • Mama Bear

Obama”care” is such a joke. You can expect things like this in the emergency rooms, too. It’ll be sung to the tune of, “Please wait here until we can register you, we have a lot of patients ahead of you.” Then you wait in a packed room with other sick people until you die.

“Yes sir, I understand you are having severe chest pains, but this gentleman with sniffles donated heavily to Congressman Porklard’s last campaign. Now go watch the TV running non-stop Obama speeches, while you wait”

    • Republicanvet

It will be worse. I will keep saying this…if anyone ever wanted to experience government run health care…volunteer at a VA for 6 months. Veterans wait well over 120 days for a claim of service connection of medical problems, and can be denied care if the VA has not declared it service connected.
Even if service connected, delays are long. I was told it would take 6 months before the VA could provide an appointment for X-rays for a torn ACL…which was already ruled service connected. Not an MRI…X-rays. If the X-rays showed anything, then they would schedule an MRI.
I had an MRI and scheduled for surgery within 10 days at a private doc.
Some appointments like chest medicine were all scheduled about 3 weeks out, and every vet needing an appointment was scheduled for the same date and time. About 50 vets all waiting at 8am to be called in. Any vet…if they needed to use the restroom and missed their name called were rescheduled. Waiting 8 or more hours to be seen was not unusual. Leaving to get lunch was impossible because if your name was called and you were gone …rescheduled.
Older vets who were hard of hearing were berated if they didn’t hear their name called.
Many appointments were with PA’s. Many doctors were foreign.

      4Oh4Care will be worse.

I think your account is proof that large bureaucracies are ultimately dehumanizing. It upsets me that our veterans are treated like second-class comrades in the USSR.

Emergency rooms are already like this from experience ,I refuse to go unless I am on my death bed.

  • ObamaFail

Good going libs. You elected a man based on skin color alone, and fell for the lies the Democrats fed you about “Free” healthcare, and now we’re stuck with Obamacare, which is such a joke they can’t even get the websites to work right. They fail to make the sites work, and we’re supposed to trust these morons with our healthcare?

    • ranndino

I doubt you actually know any “libs” or you’d know that your assumption that they elected him based on skin color alone is unbelievably stupid.

I personally voted for him the first time because I liked him a lot better than the speech challenged, impulsive imbecile who got us into the debacle in Iraq and left the economy in complete ruin. And the second time, because I liked what he did in his first four years, not to mention that the crop of Republicans running against him were a complete joke (with a possible exception of Ron Paul who is, at least, intellectually consistent).

Absolutely. They’ve already admitted it was not secure. And I don’t know why people are so anxious to give all their information to the government. Once you do that, it can’t be deleted and they know all about you.

Turns out at least 12 million of these enthusiastic ‘enrollees’ are applying for exemptions.

  • RockThisTown

About 7,000 people die each day in the U.S. Therefore, since Oct 1, approximately 105,000 people died while the Affordable Health Care exchange website was not functioning. Obamacare kills!

    • DutyFirst

Also, consider that Obama declared that the benefits of the ACA have kicked in since Oct 1, specifically those with pre-existing conditions now have coverage – no they don’t if they can’t register and purchase. All the suffering masses for whom salvation is being blocked by a 404 error code.

  • ranndino

The author of the article and most of the commenters below obviously don’t work in technology or they would understand the challenges of rolling out a website that gets hit by tens of millions of users at once. Very few private companies have to deal with a number of users quite as large at, and when they do, more often than not they fail too.

It’s always ironic to see totally clueless people call those, who do things they have no hope of understanding, morons.

    • HarlemGhost

I’ve worked in technology since before you where out of diapers and this was poorly designed and most importantly NOT TESTED … you are simply making excuses … you know they messed up yet you just can’t admit that Obama is incompetent … your defense of this disaster reveals you to be the moron in this case …

      • ranndino

I’m not sure what “technology” you worked in when I was in diapers, but back then the internet didn’t exist. If you really are much older that’s even more sad because you sure do argue like a middle school child. Calling people you disagree with morons in every post only reveals one thing – that you’re the moron.
