Huh. Funny that! Because look what’s happening two years later:

Fox News’ “The Five” is celebrating its second anniversary today. Fans are sending their congratulations.

And what is cast member Greg Gutfeld up to today?

Heh. That’s right: Gutfeld is awesomely using a “The Five”-bashing critic’s own words to have the last glorious laugh!

Never change, Gutfeld.

Gutfeld ends with an exit question to @InsideCableNews:

Twitter waits …

Twitter user @InsideCableNews surfaces with an oh-so-clever response:

Snicker. What’s next for @InsideCableNews?

Ha! Stay tuned! Oh, by the way @InsideCableNews, it looks like fans will also be staying tuned to “The Five.”

Last laugh? Gutfeld. And his Twitter followers.

Congrats to The Five! Ironic that as they reach the “Terrible Twos,” it will be OTHERS throwing the tantrums against THEM!

    • TugboatPhil

With those baby metaphors I inadvertently pictured a crying Bob Beckel in a doily hat and diaper. I need to go gouge my eyes with knitting needles.

      • RblDiver

If I reminded you of that “adult baby” who gets welfare, would you need to bleach your brain?
*Goes to find an ear funnel for myself*

      • Spiny Norman

Can’t see it, Tugboat. Bob Beckel is one of those “grouchy old uncle” types who will never, ever admit they are ever wrong, let alone weep about it.

  • Clete Torres

For a show that was spun up from a network that was “out of ideas,” it seems to be doing pretty well.

How’s MSDNC’s show opposite The Five faring these days?

    • Jack Deth

MSDNC and NBC’s evening ratings have been consistently trounced by both The Five and Red Eye when they air on the West Coast. And at 2am and 3am, respectively on the East Coast.

    • Michael Anderson (WB)

MSNBC has a show opposite The Five?

      • Clete Torres

  • Jack Deth

Happy anniversary, The Five! Yeah. Even you, Bob.

  • rinodino

I think Inside Cable should admit that they were wrong about THE FIVE, as soon as Fox news, The Five and the fringe admit they were oh so wrong about PPP election polls actually being OH SO RIGHT ;)……… I’ll wait.

    • TugboatPhil

Do us a favor and hold your breath until you get the appropriate response.

      • Grandma HeadInjury

Yeah, he promised that before, remember? *sigh*

    • The Penguin

Well, seeing how no one could give a sh*t about who you think should or shouldn’t admit to anything… I’m pretty sure you’ll be waiting for quite a while. Now put your thumb back in your mouth and grab your blanky, I think it’s time for a nap child.

    • carla5731

Sure, as soon as Obama admits that the Constitution does not authorize him to rule by executive fiat and that the Fort Hood shooting was not workplace violence……… I’ll wait.

    • Grandma HeadInjury

      Deflective moron is deflective. Yawn…

    • Jack Deth

Quit french kissing the empty light socket in the fixture above your mom’s computer.

    • trixiewoobeans

Oh dino, get off the Dem Plantation.

  • mapache

Its like The View, only with talent, substance, humor and intelligent conversation.

Great show – have enjoyed them all. Informative, fun and thought provoking.

    What the heck is InsideCableNews?

  • jwmiller

Happy 2-yrs Anniversary “The Five”. Happy almost 2yrs Anniv in this house 4 not watching “The Five”.

  • mickeyco

Boy, is that a snappy comeback from Inside Cable News or not?

  • Ironhawk86

The one unfortunate thing is that The Five has drawn away much of Gutfeld’s best material for Red Eye. Its still the ballsiest show on TV though.

  • nc

The Five’s success is even more impressive when you consider its one and only daily showing on the West Coast is at 2:00pm. Unlike say, Bill O, who gets showings at 5:00 & 8:00.

Since I dropped my cable, I have to be content with the segments that Roku offers. Some days I get a lot, other days, not so much. But I love The Five. Even Beckel has been behaving lately (for him).

Happy Anniversary, to The Five cast and crew!

    • mnfe

In the Pacific Northwest, there is also a showing at 11pm, just before Red Eye.

    @greggutfeld, I believe @InsideCableNews isn’t up til noon; maybe leave a message w/his mom?

  • neoface

I think Gutfeld makes the show successful, he thinks outside of the box. Beckel & Williams are real downers, I would enjoy Beckel being bitch slapped by Eric, it would be priceless. LOL!!!!

  • radicallyalyssa

I love The Five! Greg Gutfield’s my super crush because of his snark and wit

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE FIVE! (Yeah, that includes Bob and Juan) Their news and views are always insightful, smart, and thought-provoking; I love Guttfeld’s infamous Zingers, and the Women are lovely, as well as intelligent. KEEP IT UP FOR MANY YEARS TO COME! Jawamax 8<{D}

Great “Article”… 100% wrong, across the board.

The consistency on the Left is truly remarkable… no matter how they approach a problem, they inevitably get it wrong.

  • American_by_Choice

Best Legs on Television… SO >HOT< are those legs, that "Fair and Balanced" requires the Beckel offset.

And yeah, yeah… 'the content is great, insightful, thought provoking, yada yada…'

    (Great Legs…)

  • David Harrison

    And RED EYE TOO.

  • Kaya Hund

“The Five” single-handedly revived Bob Beckel’s waning career, and at least he’s gracious enough to admit it, and to thank Roger Ailes for the for the opportunity.

    • SpaceRacer423

by contrast, MSNBC’s “the Cycle” is single-handedly killing what was a promising carrier for SE Cupp.
Poor SE, I don’t know her contract situation but I hope she’s able to abandon ship soon.

Three of the best looking women on television on THE FIVE. Andrea, Kimberly and Dana. Best looking female trio since Friends.
