Scandals? What scandals? The big crisis here is the danger of GOP “overreach,” according to Obama media minions!

Yes it is. It’s the word of the day, evidently.

Huh. What prompted this latest absurdity?

Yep, Twitter user @JustKarl breaks it down:

That’s right: First came the DNC memo about GOP “overreach.”

And here come the lapdogs lining up to beg for scraps:

And he is bitterly clinging to it!

Pathetic. Running scared, much like David Plouffe and his nasty attempt at smearing Rep. Issa.

Brit Hume tweets that journos are eager to do “overreach” stories.

Citizens see it for what it is: Panic. Panic like the wind! Real journalists? If by journalist, you mean Obama cheerleader. Sadly, those terms have become interchangeable in most cases.

It is also highly mockable; Take it away, Twitter!

And win:

Do we smell a hashtag?

If the democruds really believed the GOP was hurting themselves, they would keep their mouths shut.

Sorry boys and girls, republicans are just a bit smarter than that.

    • grais

But they have to get the ‘word’ out to the millions of Obots who are torn about the issues and the millions of them who have no friggin’ idea what these issues are.
What they “really believe” doesn’t enter into it.

      • Kevin Krom

Right, it isn’t about shutting the GOP up at all, it’s providing the narrative for the faithful so they can parrot the big lie ad nauseum until the low-info folks hear it enough that they believe it, while simultaneously drowning out the real story.

Same idea as “move on” over Clinton’s subornation of perjury (and I say that as a reminder that the most serious criminal act he committed was pressuring a government employee [Bettie Currie] to obstruct justice and commit perjury on his behalf).

    • Okie_pastor

They not only would shut their mouths but would be the first ones investigating every lead, leak, and tip to get to the bottom of these scandals. MSM code: overreach = republican witch hunt

Obama is corrupt! The media is corrupt!

In other news, water is wet, the sky is blue, and 2+2=4.

  • Dane Gunderson

‘Overreach’ is a Democrat term for a Media reach-a-round

  • Marcy Cook

The media is overreaching on the overreach.

  • itsatax

The degree to which they coordinate everything is impressive. Except the comprehensive IRS targeting of conservatives, of course. That was just a series of completely implausible coincidences.

    • Kevin Krom

Not particularly impressive. One or two key people start the message, and the “independent thinkers” all latch onto it and start repeating it.

  • http://twitter.com/ChampionCapua ChampionCapua

    Overreach beats Overreach-around.

  • ObamaFail

Lapdog Media: Uh oh, Obama is making himself look bad and the Republicans have him by the balls, let’s start accusing them of overreaching!

  • Steve

You are not “over reaching” when you are simply tripping over another scandal with every step.

      • BoltUp

And don’t forget the Relay-the-talking-points Races

  • kikibirdie

The only OVERREACH here is by the IRS…. once again the media either fall for, or help advance, a false narrative aimed at conservatives . Typical Saul Alinsky tactics.

  • CherDash

Does anyone else remember the “gravitas” meme? Who uses that word? All of a sudden it’s rolling off of all the reporters’ tongues how GWB didn’t have any ‘gravitas’. So obvious that it came from DNC talking points!

    • BoltUp

And don’t forget when Dems down to Susan Sarandon compared Governor Palin to community organizer Obama, uttering the same phrase – “Pontius Pilate was a governor, Jesus was a community organizer”

      • CherDash

Oh, yeah, that’s another good example, thanks!

  • Elaine

Hello? ‘OVERREACH’ Serioulsy? hahaha Democrats own that one, for sure, right IRS?

  • Aitch748

“Overreach”? Ah yes, another word, like “extreme,” that sounds bad but that dissolves into nothing like cotton candy when you try to figure out what the word is referring to.

  • http://twitter.com/rm1evo rm1evo

I can’t even overreach with the GF. For the demonrats to say this is laughable.

  • http://www.freedomreconnection.com CO2 Producer

The headline of one of the WaPo stories linked above says, “The IRS is a good political issue for Republicans. But are they in danger of overreaching on it?”

The article was doing just fine until the “but…”

The writers and editors know the critical–as in “crucial” as well as “damning”–part is the first sentence of the headline. BUT they manage to switch the focus before our very eyes with the second.

The left’s flailing narrative is #DEMoverwrought.

  • neoface

The democraps must have a team of college age brainiacs locked up in the basement of the Whitehouse, their job is every week they need to come up with a buzz word that their minions can use. I do notice that the party toll the line, I’m certain the lapdog media get their Monday morning tweets as well. This week is “overreaching” will be the GOP’s downfall, I actually heard that weasel Lenny Davis use it this weekend on the talk shows. I wonder when is Oblamer and Holder going to get their “fair share” of jail time. Hmmmm……

  • Pwdrskir

    #GovtOverReach is the Real “overreach”.

  • Hiraghm
  • $23639361

“overreach” – verb; reaching too far. EX: Bill was trying to put a cigar in Monica’s mouth, but OVERREACHED and it “UNEXPECTEDLY” landed in her v_ _ _ _ a.”

  • Red Fred

Overreach, like when I pop someone in the mouth? I’ll be incarcerated, and they should be too.

  • Barack Hussein Sharpton

This is the same excuse the media used to NOT report on the Benghazi scandal…because Mitt Romney mentioned it/over reach.

  • lainer51

are they confusing “overreach” with “reach around?”

    • KansasGirl

I’m so glad you said that…I didn’t have the nerve.

    • KansasGirl

I’m so glad you said that…I didn’t have the nerve.

  • KansasGirl

I’d like to reach over and slap a few (unnamed bureaucrats-for my safety) upside their heads.

Like my momma used to say…(I’ll box your ears if you don’t behave). lol

  • Steve_J

Now we know what the subject of the OTR meeting with Holder was about.

  • Onegaishimasu

Lois Lerner is yakusa scum. There I said it.

  • http://discus.com yourmamatoo

    Yep.
The Obama press are overreaching. Right into oblivion.

  • Zefal

obama under reaches media’s crotch to get them to push Republican overreach claim.

  • Jack Deth

How is it “over reach” when a new act of corruption, leak or damning scandal rears its ugly head every day?

Soon the bought and paid for lackey media will be screaming “Out! Damned spot!” and the peasants will point and laugh!

  • pajamakat

I see Brit Humerless is at it again. He’s another Obama tool.

“Over-reaching”. Like when @PressSec says no one at the @whitehouse knew anything about the #IRS scandal until they saw the media.

  • Discontentwliars

I guess I should have known that those that don’t pay taxes, are on the government aid programs such as; food stamps, government educational endowments, and Unions wouldn’t care if the IRS targets conservatives, tea Party, GOP, Pro-child, and even some churches. Even the MSM could care less about that half of the country. It’s a shame, but they depend on the uninformed voter, and those dependent on the continued government support.
Too bad I’m on the wrong side of the tracks again, or I too could have a Warehouse full of workout equipment, and Kitchens like the EPA, or going it IRS parties, or parties at the white house. Over-reach must be code for “You don’t deserve anything!”.

  • Expat61

Did somebody have a meeting about a coordinated messaging attack on conservatives that I wasn’t invited to? Oh, yeah, the Whitehouse.

  • dark angel

Every conservative site gets concern trolls. 2010 shut them up for a while, but after Obama won again they came right back.
