George W. Bush is hosting, and participating in, the third annual W100K bike ride for Wounded Warriors. President George W. Bush had this to say about the event: “I’ll be riding across the deserts of Texas with wounded warriors to show the unbelievable character of our men and women in uniform…it’s a ride to herald people who were dealt a severe blow and said, ‘I’m not going to let it tear me down’.”

Beautiful and touching.

The Bush Center has more information about this outstanding program:

President George W. Bush will host the third annual W100K on May 23-25, 2013 at President and Mrs. Bush’s Prairie Chapel Ranch near Crawford, TX. Fourteen members of United States service personnel who were seriously wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan will participate in this year’s 100-kilometer mountain bike ride. The W100K, part of the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative, highlights the bravery and sacrifice of warriors and recognizes organizations that support America’s heroes.

Hundreds of veterans recently arrived in Texas to participate in the “Wounded Warrior Weekend.”

The Bush Center is tweeting out some fantastic photos and vine video from the bike ride today.

Citizens praise the event and can’t help but make some comparisons.

God bless all our brave troops. Thank you, President Bush, for hosting this event to aid the wounded and to help express our endless gratitude and respect for all our veterans.

  • 24fan

This the action that endear peoples hearts, not cMpaneinging every month or having extravagant vacations. A real leader president bush. Miss you sir

  • Marjorie

    Pure class!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • goldberd20

Ah the same GW Bush who brought us the failures in Iraq, hows the newly liberated Iraq doing? not so.

But of course thats why Iraq now its own small Arab Spring to install an Sunni president. Such a great job isn’t it?

Lets also forget about the honorable Iraqi war that left Iraq still in Ruins, millions of Iraqis dead and a mess in Afghanistan.

    • Marcy Cook

Um I think your fearless or is that feckless leader in the WH had about 5 years to correct that problem. Did he? Nah….too busy with Bey and J and sleeping through Benghazi. There is soooooo much more….but I’m bored with you….

      • goldberd20

        Here you
Sorry but that original video has being removed for copyright violation.

“Um I think your fearless or is that feckless leader in the WH had about 5 years to correct that problem. Did he?”

And GW bush lied to the American people to invade in Iraq for nothing remember that? oh wait lets do it all over again with Syria or Iran for that matter.

        • J. Cox

except we did find wmd’s…but after 9 use the same lie.Yawn…try harder O-Bot

          • goldberd20

Oh wait i know that part your actually claiming that WMDs are magically in Syria? all this juicy Intel based on a single source from a single former Iraqi general based on a book?

Yeah thats something exactly what we seen during before the Iraqi war started.

            Not helpful.

            (try harder O-Bot)

Your wrong Bush Bot, i dont support Obama nor did ever. Although if John McCain was the President right now we would be at war with the Russians you should be lucky we arent.

          • Ronald Green

No brilliance. that’s not what he’s saying at all. How do you think Saddam’s Army gassed the Kurdish people of Iraq? How do you think he gassed the Iranians? Especially if he never had such weapons. He had them and them means to make more. Before the Iraq War, he made no bones about his attempts to build a nuke, but that was all in our imaginations wasn’t it. And what does that RINO McCain and the Russians have to do with this?

          • goldberd20

“How do you think Saddam’s Army gassed the Kurdish people of Iraq? How do you think he gassed the Iranians?”

Who gave him the chemical weapons in the first place huh? was it the Russians? no it wasn’t it was us.

“He had them and them means to make more. Before the Iraq War,”
Your still believing that FOX News war propaganda? i am surprised you haven’t joined the army yet.

          • J. Cox

Please provide evidence we provided chemical weapons…oh wait..just had this argument 1 week ago.All they could produce was a blog of someone claiming Rumsfield gave Iraq some smallpox or something. You really are a dim bulb.I will however be waiting on pins and needles for your proof.

Oh..FOX propagand..BWAHAHAHA..the last refuge of the uninformed is to bash FOX.

          • goldberd20

            Remember this Neocon?

Oh wait Donald Rumsfeld is an great American as much as GW Bush is.

          • goldberd20

No response after this video? thats typical and do you wonder why Donald Rumsfeld was shaking his with Saddam and along having some tea?

I guess some of you dont remember the Iraq/Iran then.

          • J. Cox

Yawn. That is proof of ??sigh you are a boring troll that has yet to back up your claims.I provided actual links and 1st hand knowledge….you..a youtube video showing us giving him chem weapons? just cant do it can you.Moron.

          • goldberd20

If insulting me by calling me a troll is the best you got well then then that shows that your a troll then defending GW Bush and his polices.

“I provided actual links and 1st hand knowledge”

I provided actual links to but as usual RINOs like you always ignore the facts believe FOX News or otherwise.

            “1st hand knowledge”
I am quite sure thats quite true almost like saying that Iran has an actual WMD.

By the way hows Iraq doing? not so well oh wait lets have the troops back in Iraq for another 2000 years maybe?

          • Ronald Green

You really do stretch it trying for validation of your silly beliefs and it’s really gotten old and tiresome. Yes, we know you’re a hypocrite and you hate G W Bush. Yes we know that you will stretch facts to try to validate your opinions. And yes we know you don’t know squat and do you even know what the acronym RINO means?

          • goldberd20

As usual i am now getting now nothing more then petty insults rather then something worth well discussions this is what i was expecting from GW Bush supporters whom no doubt preferred Romney in 2012.

“And yes we know you don’t know squat”

Thats rather laughable and maybe you can tell me who created the wounded warriors in the first place? was the bad evil long beard terrorists that we are working with in Syria?

Try to remember who started to invade in Iraq huh? oh and you say i dont know squat? thats quite funny.

Its also laughable how you GW bush era supporters use General Sada’s claims to the Syrian connection. Its quite laughable its no wonder why the CIA had its data wrong on the Saddam none existent WMDs.

And your even trying to defend GW bush YouTube in which he stated that he supports the peace loving heart eating Rebels?

Thats quite a joke. So if Bush says we supports the Free Syrian Army cute little bunnies that means you would support them to right?

          • Ronald Green

Dumbass, I was a tank commander in the 1st Gulf War. I heard our chemical alarms going off when our engineers accidentally detonated some of his chemical munitions. And those chemical weapons the Iraqis had made themselves. It isn’t hard to do. We didn’t need to give them to him. He simply had them made in Iraq. We found the factory where he was making them. You think you ‘know’ so much but you don’t know squat.

          • goldberd20

Oh i am sure you were, on the internet Ronald you arent the fist one to claim that i was in the first gulf war.

          • Ronald Green

Yep dips h i t, this is me on my tank in the 1st Gulf War, now shut your damned piehole.

          • goldberd20

Yeah really? have you seen the way villages were attacked by our Depleted Uranium? thats an WMD if you haven’t notice it.

          • L R

To Ronald Green: Thank you for your service, sir!

          • J. Cox

There were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq after all.

The massive cache of almost 400,000 Iraq war documents released by the WikiLeaks Web site revealed that small amounts of chemical weapons were found in Iraq and continued to surface for years after the 2003 US invasion, Wired magazine reported.

The documents showed that US troops continued to find chemical weapons and labs for years after the invasion, including remnants of Saddam Hussein’s chemical weapons arsenal — most of which had been destroyed following the Gulf War.

In August 2004, American troops were able to buy containers from locals of what they thought was liquid sulfur mustard, a blister agent, the documents revealed. The chemicals were triple-sealed and taken to a secure site.

Also in 2004, troops discovered a chemical lab in a house in Fallujah during a battle with insurgents. A chemical cache was also found in the city.

I was there..I was in a NBC unit.

Some of these discoveries have been known for years. To the extent that the media covered these at all, these finds were generally treated as long-forgotten leftovers that somehow never got addressed by the Iraqi military in twelve years of UN inspections. That, however, disregards completely the kind of totalitarian state that Hussein had imposed on Iraq, up to the minute that circumstances forced him into his spider hole in 2003. Had Saddam Hussein wanted those weapons destroyed, no lower-ranking military officer would have dared defy him by keeping them hidden. It would have taken dozens of officers to conspire to move and hide those weapons, as well as a like number of enlisted men, any and all of whom could have been a spy for the Hussein clique.

But please, tell me and others who were there on the ground that no new WMD’s means none were there. Please,I am sure the Army’s chemical units that were over there finding this stuff as well as materials such as yellowcake were seeing things.

I know facts get in the way of your parroting TP…but do keep up.

          • Ronald Green

Careful, he’ll ask you what NBC station you were reporting for. SMH

          • goldberd20

Your WikiLeaks as source of proof? yeah thats very reliable. Its almost as if its like quoting Alex Jones.

Your also ignoring the CIA report which stated Iraq had no WMDs at that time nor after nice try though.

But i have an idea lets invade Iran and lets see if they have them shall we neocon?

          • J. Cox

You are a idiot, and won’t accept facts. There is a link to the UN report…but go ahead and blah blah some more. Also, thanks for calling me and every Chemical warfare personal in Iraq liars.Guess we just made that up.

          • goldberd20

And your now going about with the name calling and calling users as idiots just because they stated the truth? by the way this is the same WikiLeaks that said there was no massacre in China.

“every Chemical warfare personal in Iraq liars.Guess we just made that up.”

Your not first GW Bush defender who used that line i had seen your types even in 2006 defending GW bush little policy of invading and taking over Iraq and for what? nothing but oil.

By the way, did you read the UN Intel? guess not apparently

          • J. Cox

In other words….everyone but you is lying .SMH at your pathetic argument.

          • goldberd20
          • Ronald Green

Tell brilliance, what oil do we get from Iraq, besides none at all?

          • Ronald Green

Tell brilliance, what oil do we get from Iraq, besides none at all?

          • goldberd20

Remember this? or is your memory shortlisted?

            On Monday, President
Bush admitted that the Iraq war is “straining the psyche of our
country.” But he vowed to stay the course. A reporter questioned him
about why he opposed withdrawing US troops from Iraq. In his answer,
Bush admitted that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and had
“nothing” to do with 9/11. [includes rush transcript]

You are stuck in a herp a derp machine with Piers Morgan

          • trixiewoobeans

“all this juicy Intel based on a single source from a single former Iraqi general based on a book? Kinda like the Benghazi murders were based on a YouTube video? Like that?

          • 96leroy

Try from the mouth of Saddam’s #2 official, you hopeless twit.

        • Ginger Whetstine

Intel knew they were being moved to Syria, but, dems never let facts stand in the way of silly ranting. Parroting talking points is so much more fun than research.

          • goldberd20

Ah yes that Intel based on an quote by a former Iraqi general a single source i had seen these claims before to. Just like before the war in Iraq.

But as with the comments lets all ignore the facts.

          • Ginger Whetstine

No, I know someone in intel that told me they knew where the weapons went but doing anything about getting them back would involve going into Syria, and remember at the time how things were, imagine them expanding it into another country, other than Iraq and Afghanistan. that would have cause way too much controversy, we still hear about it about Iraq, and 3 war front at the time would have stretched our guys way too thin to be effective.

    • Ronald Green

Your seem to expect perfection from imperfect humanity. You must be soo disappointed with your god ‘O’.

      • goldberd20

I am a Christian anti war and i am not Muslim nice try with insulting that shows a lot though. By the way if you think i support Obama your quite wrong.

        • Ronald Green

You sir are a libtard moron. I said nothing about Christian, Muslim, or Atheist for that matter. Your statement shows a lot about you as well.

          • goldberd20

If you think that i am an liberal your quite wrong. Both parties are the same.

          • Ronald Green

I am not interested in what you think you are. I can see quite plainly what you really are and the more you go on about it the clearer that picture becomes. So why don’t you go find your liberal anti-war friends and smoke some more weed and sing kume by ya. And one thing you are not is a Christian, especially seeing as how you came on here with nothing but your hatred of G W Bush.

          • Kristin Thomas

This isn’t about politics jackass, it’s about supporting our troops that defend our and YOUR freedoms here and abroad. I don’t support war, but you can bet your sweet a&& I support my military. And so does Bush, a helluva lot more than Obama does.

          • Glen Hull

Ace of Spades calls this “concern trolling”. I simply refer to it as “dipshit pounds the keyboard”.

          • Jeremy

ha ha that works as well.

          • Jeremy

both parties the same that is a laugh. That is what a RINO would say.

          • Catchance

            *You’re*… not *your*. Please.

And there is a great deal of difference between both parties.

        • Markward

Whatever you need to tell yourself.

    • Bemani Dog

I’m sure if Iraq were doing well, you’d be giving Obama credit for it. Or if we were still there, you would be blaming Bush for that.

    • Kabong30

You mean the surge that Obama took credit for, right? And Iraq is in “ruins” because of Iraqis.

    • Glen Hull

Millions of Iraqis dead? Math is not your friend.

    • L R

Bush did it…whatever it is. Okay, we get it…move along little boy!

  • ⚔Christophuh⚔

Obama cant find big enough training wheels to be able to participate.

    • JustLikeAnimals

Obama couldn’t carry W’s water-bottle. And 2 miles into the Texas desert he’d be whining about the heat, his feet, the sunlight, the wind, etc., etc., etc. and it would all be……..wait for it………Bush’s fault!

      • ⚔Christophuh⚔

he would just get a marine to shield him from the sun with a Hello Kitty umbrella.

  • ceemack

I’ll bet this guy wouldn’t have gone off to bed while one of our consulates was under attack.

    • goldberd20

Yeah i bet GW Bush or Romney would just kill both the consulates and the terrorists. With the help of an Drone.

      • Clete Torres

“With the help of an Drone”
‘An’ drone? Your hero Zero is the dronemaster here, boy-o.

  • JustLikeAnimals

Too bad we can’t have this level of comittment, class, and integrity in our White House anymore.

Instead we are stuck with a lying, deceitful, thugocracy that respects not authority other than its own and is hell-bent on bringing every citizen in this blessed country to their knees in obedience to their boorish, belligerent will.

“What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” –Thomas Jefferson, 1787.

Thank You Warriors! You are The Greater Good!

      • Kabong30

Speed bumps, right? Not optimal? Oh wait that’s only if Americans die.

      • $7610427

Will history also remember all those Dems that voted for it?

      • Catchance

You seem to forget the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, his own people, Hussein killed before we toppled him. Oh, wait. More likely you never knew about them. You seem to be singularly uninformed.

      • Boo2

Because moronic Dem’s drug their feet for 6 months to make sure they gave Iraq plenty of time to get the WMD’s out of the country!! They had to make sure they had a reason to give GWB all the blame!!!

Just really horrendously bad, that O’s sleepin’ and campaignin’ caused casualties…You know, when ya’ snooze, ya’ loose, and your title changes…from POTUS to DOTUS, Commander in Chief to Commander in Dereliction.
