On Sunday, Sarah Palin called out the ludicrous and creepy MSNBC spot by Melissa Harris-Perry. You see, Ms. Harris-Perry believes all your children belong to us.

Children are community property!

Palin called it “unflippingbelievable” and many others agreed. Collectivism? No thank you.

Leave our children alone.

Ms. Harris-Perry apparently not only believes that your children aren’t your own, but neither are your thoughts. If you think independently and disagree with her, that must be persecution!

No, for real. She is claiming persecution. With bible verse.

Bingo. Actor Adam Baldwin responds to Ms. Harris-Perry.

And, that’s right. She doubled-down on her creepy collectivism. “Lean Forward”? More like “Lean Creepy” into collectivism. Again.

Waah!  Her doubling-down is beyond pitiful:

My inbox began filling with hateful, personal attacks on Monday, apparently as a result of conservative reactions to a recent “Lean Forward” advertisement now airing on MSNBC, which you can view above. What I thought was an uncontroversial comment on my desire for Americans to see children as everyone’s responsibility has created a bit of a tempest in the right’s teapot. Allow me to double down.

Stop tweeting her! Leave Melissa alooooone.

Twitter users rightly give her the business and try to provide some Teachable Moments. It takes a village? Well, it does take a village to school the village idiot.

Actor Nick Searcy weighs in with his usual awesome.

The lessons continue.

Huh. How about that?

And in a timely nutshell: Words of wisdom from the late Margaret Thatcher.

  • Clayton Grant

It takes a village to raise an idiot.

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

A village must have raised her.

  • ceemack

I think this tyrannical fool has just been voted off the island.

  • Shawneuser

An educator saying we need to spend more money on education. Wow, what a revelation.

We don’t need to spend more. We need to spend MORE WISELY.

This is a tame “Lean Socialist” ad by MSNBC in comparison. In Rachel Maddow’s, she blatantly lies by actually saying Obama has “lowered the deficit by hundreds of billions.”

    • Jay Stevens

Yes. That certainly explains why our national debt has decreased. Oh, wait. It didn’t? Never mind.

    • Pascal

Your comments shows that you know very little about this subject and should probably read a bit more and stop listening to Rush and Hannity so much.

The deficit is the mathematical difference between Revenues (taxes) and Expenditures (spending) over the year. The Debt is how much we owe at a fixed point in time. A deficit of $1 increases our debt by $1. The deficit was $1.5T when Obama came into office, which means our debt increased $1.5T that year. The deficit is now $880B, which means our debt will increase $880B from the beginning of 2013 to the end (our fiscal year really starts in October, but that’s neither here nor there). This equals a decrease in the deficit of $600B+ dollars over 4 years. The only way you can decrease the debt is by turning the deficit into a surplus.

So, please research something before you start to act like you know something about it. A good place to start would be a dictionary, or maybe just a simple googleing of “debt vs deficit”. Either way, I hope you enjoyed this short lesson.

    Melissa Harris-Perry ✔
The trolls have been really busy the past two weeks calling me disgusting, evil & communist.

Hey, Mel. Here’s the deal. It ain’t trolling when the subject is in fact, disgusting, evil and Communist.

    • Canadian in USA

The trolls have been really busy the past two weeks calling me disgusting, evil & communist.
Unlike the leftist trolls that call conservative women a c–t, slut, or told to f–k off and die. If she wants to see trolls, post a conservative tweet.

    • nc

Don’t you find it interesting that she groups together “disgusting, evil & communist” when in fact she is extolling the “virtues” of Communism?

Like Rush always says, libs can never tell you the truth about what they truly believe.

    • EastValleyConservative

In her double down article, she says that “we all come down on different sides of the issues, but AGREE that children are not the property of their parents”. Excuse me??? I don’t agree. Property, maybe not, but responsibility? Yes, therefore, none of YOUR business. This woman is ridiculous, this country has gone straight to hell.

  • DV S1EOG

So, kids are property. Guess that means that all people are property……. I didn’t know that anyone was owned… I thought that we ended that when we ended slavery. And, if she really cares about the “collective” I guess she would not be opposed to giving up all of her money and possessions to the “collective good.” I am sure that I could use some of her money, as well as everyone else here could use it as well.

    • jb

Well at least until age 26-30 or thereabouts….that’s the age where obamacare for infants ends.

      • DV S1EOG

Yea, that is the age when the government then owns that person, either by taxing them to death or providing everything for them.

  • TDS

Even LESS personal responsibility than we already have?
    Sounds like a winner!!!
Just look at the future of our already crazy legal system: It’s not their fault, they did it because their neighbors didn’t raise them right.

    • Pascal

No, even MORE personal responsibility. Now you’re not just responsible for yourself, but for those around you as well. Everyone helps everyone, instead of everyone just helping themselves.

  • Bklynnygirl

Here is Melissa Harris Perry on another Lean forward ad.

She is referencing the Communist Chinese economic program known as the ” Great Leap Forward.”

    This is from 3/18/2013

    • J. Cox

Pffft…..only 50 odd million deaths….Thats the democrat voting bloc here in America.

  • Michelle

In her response to the criticism, she referred to her students as “children”. She’s a college professor, her students are 18+ yrs old, legal adults, can vote, can join the military, can own a home, etc. When a professor refers to grown adults as “children” it’s easy to understand why she has a hard time comprehending the concept of “personal responsibility”

  • wwbdinct

@Sean Hannity’s Hair is the best response! I think I love you SHH!

  • sqeptiq

Conservatives tend to believe children are their parents’ property to do anything they want with, like a chair or a table. Liberals, eg MHP, mostly believe that children have legitimate interests of their own and the wider community should be able to look out for their wellbeing too, while of course primarily leaving their care and upbringing to the parents.

    • PrezDoucheTheFirst

If you had half an idea of what conservatives believe, you would be a conservative.

    • Garth Haycock

Really? Then why are the areas of this country with the biggest social problems run by liberals?

      • Garth Haycock

And furthermore, it really is the left who sees children as property. Do the words “my body; my choice” sound familiar?

When you figure out why your view has always failed throughout history, you’ll understand why you’re wrong.

    • dkhilly

If anything, my children use me as a chair.

    • vino veritas

Except when they are inconvenient to a libs social engineering plans. Then they are as expendable as an unplanned pregnancy is to darth gosnell or a Fox News reporter with questions about Benghazi is at a WH press conference.

If a single thing about your asinine babble were true it would still be a far more preferable situation to have then NBC & harris-perry’s collectivist ‘utopia’ would be.

    • J. Cox

Let us see how well liberal/progs do with raising kids….oh yeah..we can’t find them because half were murdered in the womb, the other 1/2 are either in drug rehab, jail,or in mommies basement getting high impregnating anything that moves while failing out of highschool, then having mommy read this post because they can’t.Great job.The culture of death wants to raise my kid?No thanks…I want mine to be successful, value life, and think for themselves. No get back to goosestepping practice before your groupthink therapy starts.

      • sqeptiq

You can indoctrinate your kid in whatever right-wing goofiness you want, for all I care. But there are laws that limit parents’ freedom of action re their kids, eg laws barring child abuse, and rightly so.

        • NRPax

Ah look; we’re now breaking out the straw men of child abuse. How predictable.

        • J. Cox

Wow…the best reply you can come up with is that I am goofy and I am not allowed to beat my kids.No wonder you lowinfo types hate it when people respond to the nonsense you spout. You go ahead though and fill your kids head with the droning sheeple speak though.

          • sqeptiq

I correctly said parents don’t have complete legal freedom of action regarding their children and demonstrated it with a concrete example. It doesn’t help you to blame me for your lack of an effective rebuttal. Who knows what exciting and positive legal changes lefties will make in future? Perhaps we’ll curb ultraconservative homeschooling fundamentalist maniacs, as Germany wisely does.

          • J. Cox

Yawn…what is the matter..don’t like the fact that homeschooled kids are smarter than PE kids?Tell me I can’t spank my kid while you’re at it.Seems all you really said was we raise our kids wrong, all the while ignoring the facts.Tell me again how well the Govt. does at anything, and how great of a job shucking responsibility is.Really…we want you to show us with some stats on how great this nation is doing with the regs put in place by libs.Pick any city run by Democrats, and compare that to a red state…lower crime, better education, better jobs. But please…yell groupthink some more.Amerika wants your kid.

          • sqeptiq

You mean poverty- and murder-ridden red states like Louisiana (#1 in homicides) and Mississippi (#2 in homicides)?

          • J. Cox

Of course you mean in the cities controlled by democrats right?Funny how a blue city like NO can make the entire state look bad…but you knew that right.

          • sqeptiq

Thanks for admitting red states can’t solve their own problems!

          • VerminMcCann

Where the hell do you come up with this nonsense? No one even implied that parents have unfettered control over their children. You simply began asserting that because you, as usual, have nothing to say. Hey look over there! It’s a German red herring!

        • seek456

but but but scissors to the brain is fine – between Mama and Dr. you freaking hypocrite! How dare you! You have absolutely no respect nor regard for children and you think I’d trust you with even my dog? Unfreaking believable – and you have the balls to try to play the high ground?????

How freaking insane are you, you low life?

          • sqeptiq

Irrelevant whether you trust me. We’re a society of laws and we all have a voice. My side however is winning and I have no doubt it’ll keep winning, in two-steps-forward-one-step-back fashion.

Also, quit your caterwauling. I’m pro-choice and support prosecuting infanticide, which is distinct from abortion. It’s right and proper that Kermit Gosnell is being prosecuted.

          • J. Cox

Also..winning implies achievement.Turning America into a third world dump isn’t that.Forward though…right off the cliff lemming.

          • sqeptiq

Spare me the “pro-life” nonsense. Conservative women have lots of abortions, and conservative doctors are happy to make a buck performing them. They just preach pro-lifery to others. It’s like how the biggest conservative gay-bashers so often turn out to be closeted gays.

What conservatives hate more than anything else under the sun is the idea of practicing what they preach.

          • J. Cox

Please provide some proof instead of projecting. You have a failed argument so you resort to “they did it too” BS.Pro-life is nonsense? No wonder your side is so adept at killing millions and cheering them on.

          • Juanita Outlaw-Bedford

if’s that the case….sad that whom ever spawned you didn’t have a coat hanger or a knitting needle

        • Jay Stevens

Tell me, where above did you see anyone mention child abuse? NRPax is right, strawman indeed.

    • NRPax

No, sqeptiq: Conservatives believe it is their responsibility to raise their children as opposed to the community at large. And since collectivism is a failure, it should be obvious why they prefer not to delegate that responsibility.

    • AaronHarrisinAlaska

OMG. I’m dieing here. I’m laughing so hard I can barley type. You have NO fucking clue what you’re talking about.

This is while she is quoting the WORDS God spoke and wrote (2 Peter 1:20-21) which canNOT be taught in public school. Oh the hypocrisy. And, if anyone ever read what God wrote then that said person would know that Satan quotes Scripture (Luke 4).

And here’s a good one for all the lib-prog “men” out there:

      “Community” does not equal “State”.

  • Arnold Townsend

    • trixiewoobeans

That’s because they’re takers. For all the posturing and rhetoric of the Democratic Party over the years, championing the working man, talking about greedy “Rich, White Republicans”, it now appears it was envy all along, cause they’re living just as large, and everything they accused the old school Repubs. of doing, they’re doing X 10. Yes, it was envy and greed all along, and now they’re taking and taking, until they’ve picked our bones clean.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting a pleasant community environment…BUT you get that THROUGH strong families. I mean the kids who feel a strong sense of belonging and family unity at home aren’t exactly the type to go searching for a gang family and go terrorizing the neighborhood.

    • Pascal

Since not everyone can have “strong families”, strong communities help those kids who aren’t as fortunate as the rest of us. When neighbors don’t care what happens next door, that’s when kids from weak families end up fucked up and robbing their neighbors. That’s the basis of her message.

  • michael s

I support Melissa Harris Perry. Waiting for a MHP mug.Speaking of Margaret Thatcher ,you know who else thought kids didn’t belong to their parents. Thatcher’s friends Augusto Pinochet and Jimmy Saville.

        • Rand

          So what?

        • Garth Haycock

Her mother was raised in a Mormon middle class family, but left the Mormon church on her own accord when she divorced MHP’s father. MHP was not raised Mormon.

  • vino veritas

Does this person even have any children of her own (no Ms. Harris-Perry, pet birds and cats don’t count)? Why don’t these communism loving tools at NBC (and hollywood, for that matter) finally get off their deranged/intellectually challenged butts, put some courage behind their convictions and go live in a communist utopia of their choosing. They can then spread their wealth and their own children (who, apparently, are less valuable to them than their own bank accounts) around with the collective.

Stop trying to force freedom-loving, hard working, independent people to be guinea pigs in your insane social engineering experiments. This is the inevitable ‘progression’ of the collectivist mentality (regardless of whether you want to call it communism, collectivism, socialism or progressiveness) which cannot, in truth, be discounted or ignored.

  • radjahshelduck

I still say that MSNBC should replace the slogan “Lean Forward” with “Fart Loudly.” That would be a much more accurate description of their product.

No! Klingons may not have our earth children.

One of our biggest social problems is the shrinking sense of personal responsibility. Why in the world would we encourage that, on purpose? This is scary.

    • DV S1EOG

That’s not our fault. It is because we were all abused as children. Mean words were spoken to us and it made us feel bad.

      • nc

You mean we’re not supposed to feel bad? Wow…

    • NRPax

AWESOME! I love collect-o-think. Ms. NBC, hi! First lets get something straight, I know your playbook…since I was once a part of your ilk. Here is language you can’t control and can only rationalise within your small box of perception: Don’t mess with someone’s child. Oh, and your pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining. Mess with my family and there isnt a place in Seward Park or China you can hide in. No apology from me either.

If that is your view go ahead and come to my house and try to slap my kid. It would be the last thing you ever do . You communist pig. I just wish Senator Macarthy was here and still hunting down communist pigs Get out of our land.

The Collective didn’t I hear about this on Star trek?

  • BadGirloftheNorth

The fact is, if every SET of parents spent the amount of time it really takes to raise a successful next generation; they wouldn’t have time or resources to ‘collective’ other people’s children. The hateful part of it is that more children are simply spawned and we know how well they turn out being ‘collective-ized’ by the system. Kids need their family, not some lobotomized liberal like MHP who suffers from what I call insanititis – chronic political and moral insanity.

  • irishgirl91

The only deal I have with the “community” is that I am raising a kind, law abiding adult. No one enforces that and MHP wasn’t on my doorstep to let me get a few naps along the way. My job, my responsibility, my pleasure, my pain. MINE.
