Unreal. After seeing the 828 pages of new regulations released this month, Sen. McConnell’s office tweeted that shocking photo of the full 20,000 pages of Obamacare regulations. And counting.

From the senator’s Facebook page:

Just take a look at this giant stack: one day’s worth of ObamaCare regulations. 828 pages in one day. Overall, there are nearly 20,000 pages – with many, many more to come. This is the owner’s manual for the health care law that’s supposed to make things better. Are you kidding? This law is a disaster waiting to happen.

ObamaCare is just too expensive, and it’s not working the way Washington Democrats promised. That’s why ObamaCare needs to be repealed. And that’s why I will continue to push for its repeal.

Oh, it’s just like they wanted, though, Sen. McConnell.

Pass the bill to find out what’s in it? All seven feet of it.

As we reported yesterday, Sen. Cruz has taken the fight to defund Obamacare to Twitter. Perhaps the call will spread far and wide, with this photographic proof of the insanity.

This week on the Discovery Channel, a new series debuts, “Inside the Mind of a Liberal.”

    Episode One. Hypocrisy

One liberal waiting six hours to vote? An outrage.
20,000 pages of regulations requiring six months to read? Why, that’s progress.

    • aliswell

Bear in mind of the 151 REPUBLICAN House members, ONLY 14 voted against continuing to fund ObamaCare yesterday. Those 14 did NOT include McConnell; the same McConnell who tweeted this picture as if shocked and appalled.

With the exception of those 14 Republicans, they’re ALL TRAITORS!!! Vote ’em all out in ’14!

Where were all these people BEFORE this crap was passed? They should have been louder and stronger in their objections to Obamacare in the first place. They feel like we are STUCK with it now, so why fight? They do not represent me! I want fighters.

Are they saying the goverment has managed to create something more complicated and convoluted than the US tax code?

Where are the treehuggers to protest the killing of all the trees needed to create that stack? So much for the “Paperwork Reduction Act.”

        • Silence Dogood

Of that I have no doubt. All the tools that claim they won’t do that here need reminded of 1942 when they told the Japanese citizens that this wouldn’t happen to them either…

And it was another Democrat President that did it.

I feel so warm and fuzzy seeing this. With the $100K in taxes paid by our family’s small businesses this year, I sure got my moneys worth at only $5/page for this garbage. What a bargain!!

  • http://twitter.com/MoueLaMoue Moue La Moue (D)

I wonder what the legal cost is going to be for someone in the Senate to actually HIRE someone to read all that crap, understand it … and then lay it out in paragraph synopsis form so that the Senator can then understand it? Mind blowing.

    • mdtljt

Don’t you mean lay it out in Dr. Seuss rhyme? It needs to be simple enough for a 3 year old to grasp & judging by what these esteemed civil servants *gag* have foisted on us, I’ll wager even that’ll sail right over their empty heads.

I believe it would be likened to Shel Silverstein’s classic “Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would Not Take The Garbage Out.” Now if only that pile of paper could grow so tall and fall on the entire district…

  • RightThinking1

One wonders if there has EVER been a single action by government which produced such a volume verbiage. It occurs to me that without computers, it simply would not have been possible. Well…, hold it…, I suppose 1000 typists producing 20 pages each could have done it…, but then, that begs the question of where the source documents would have come from.

    Rub their noses in it.

Well, I agree Obamacare is becoming a train wreck and very poorly managed. However, Americans must have some sort of health insurance. 48.6 million do not have health insurance; it is fair to say that many people are dying because of this shameful situation. You may call me a liberal (I’m not), but a great country does not leave their citizens in the lurch like this. Health care should not be a for profit industry. The system is a mess with cost crisis’ and too much profit leaving the system. It causes doctors to be salesman and run every test under the sun and isn’t improving the health of Americans. We are the fattest, 7th most cancerous, and chronically diseased country per captia, yet 48.6 million do not have access to healthcare nor have the means to purchase said insurance because of chronic disease. Obamacare isn’t the answer, agreed, but there has to be something done.

    • Richard Wayne

Insanity! Separating the market from the people is driving up costs on everyone. 49 million people are not my problem. I want to pay reasonable prices for healthcare without government regulation and mandates killing me indirectly with costs on my providers and my insurers. Get the market back in the game and prices will drop like a rock. As for the 49 million people, I don’t care anymore. I’ve been prudent and worked hard with little to show and had to delay having a family. My friends who have partied through their 20s and are getting assistance while having x amount of ill cared for kids should not be my burden. Your bleeding heart is killing the middle class. A great country leaves me the hell alone in sickness and in health….

only 20,000 pages? That’s 72% less than the tax code. Tax Code is 72,954 pages. Why didn’t McConnell place the tax code next to the ACA? He’d look like a bigger fool than he already is. When he speaks to his robots he’s a big man. When you look at facts he’s another useless, overpaid, politician who does nothing but spew propaganda. He would have gone far under Hitler. “We’ve got the best Congress money can buy”.
