That is an associate editor at The Daily Mirror. And he is not alone in his moral bankruptcy. Other members of the media also took to Twitter to expose their lack of moral compasses, upon the news of the death of tyrant Hugo Chavez.

I interviewed Hugo Chavez a few years ago in New York. I remember he walked into the interview singing

Gee, guys, what’s wrong with you? He was a crooner, don’t you know? NBC makes sure you know.

As does a reporter at The Washington Post.

And there’s more:

Just a little firebrand! Like your feisty grandpa!

And a fighter!

The repugnant just won’t end.

A hero. A hero.

For shame.

Will George Stephanopoulos weigh in to diminish Chavez’s evil, like he did with Kim Jong Un?

Stayed tuned.

The Devil is having his way with him right now!!!

  • IceColdTroll

“President Hugo Chavez was a fighter.”

    “calls Chavez a “masterful communicator.”

There ya go, leftard apologists, Godwinned at second position! So make the the most of it!

  • Rob

When Chavez took power and looked down on his people he saw only the poor and the suffering.
So that others would understand what he saw, he made them all poor. All brothers under oppression.
It’s a shame that Republicans won’t let that happen here. We could all be closer together, huddled for warmth and bits of food.

It only takes the death of a dictator for liberals to reveal their true yearnings for governance through yoke.

    • peteee363

or the election of a progressive?

    • V the K

If you did a Venn Diagram of Obama fans and Chavez fans, it would look like one perfect circle.

    • Catchance

“Governance through yoke”. That’s exactly it. That’s perfect.

  • peteee363

he was a friend of the poor and down trodden, like sean penn, and danny glover!

    • camnpat

And Martin Sheen! And Maxine Waters! And Cindy Sheehan!

  • Ben Bollman

It is easy to be seen as a “man of the people” when you have complete control of the media, right Obama?

    • wwbdinct

The similarities are truly frightening! Two sick, twisted, power hungery, delusional, psychopathic dictators.

      • camnpat

The only difference is that Chavez was a military man, while Obama finds comfort in sending others to fight his battles.

      • AdoEdem

That’s because leftists, regardless of the various “causes” they use to mask their true intentions, share a core desire: power over people. It doesn’t matter what form it takes or how they acquire it, just as long as they have some way to control others. Some are run-of-the-mill megalomaniacs, but the ones we really have to worry about are the “moral busybodies” who truly believe that if -only- they had total control over everything, social utopia would magically descend from the skies.

It’s a religious belief. And the worst atrocities in recent history have all been led by such wild-eyed idealists.

That said, I don’t believe Chavez was one of them. He enriched himself too much, his cynicism about the useful idiots he was stringing along slipped past his mask once too often.

On the bright side, that fat ass should keep the fires of Hell stoked for another two centuries.

    • mdtljt

…not to be mean or anything but when their times come can you imagine how big those fires will be when all the gasbag Tyrant-lovers – Moore, Penn, Glover, Stone, Carter, Belafonte, all these idiot “journalists”, et al. – get there too? What a weenie roast that’ll be!!!

Laura, I think you’ve come up with the ideal sermon for every priest and minister to preach. Remind the congregation who’s now in Hell, who’s going, and ask simply if they – the congregation – want to spend eternity with such people.

“I’ve never wished a man dead, but have read some obituaries with great pleasure” ~ Mark Twain

    • $23629333

Can’t honestly say I haven’t. Are we really to believe no one did or should have wished the little Austrian dead?

  • Rico Mapster

    Good Riddance.

  • KansasGirl

Yet these same clowns wouldn’t say a kind thing about Reagan if their life depended on it.

    • michael s

maybe chavez being called a master communicator is a parallel to ronald reagan the great communicator.

    • OzzyLovesBabyShampoo

Did Reagan have a few million people show up at his funeral?

  • TexSizzle

“One of a wave of Lefties who improved lives of South Americans.” The way for lefties to improve lives of the people suffering under their malfeasance is for more of them to assume room temperature.

  • Ed

Pinochet improved the lives of more poor people than Chavez. For his trouble he was tormented by liberals in his senior years. I certainly don’t recall the love fest in the media for him.

Is it too late for Robert Mugabe to change his image? Insist that people call and refer to him as Bobby, and post a few videos of him singing karaoke with Elvis’ songs.* Perhaps he could sing “Return To Sender” with Bill Clinton on sax.

(* apparently, unlike Michael Bolton and Michael J. Fox, Bobby does have some Elvis in him, and some Elvis records in his collection)
