Oh, Howard. Bless your heart! Howard Kurtz is confused and late to a “scoop” once again. What? A media lapdog showing bias? That’s unheard of! Except, of course, it’s not.

NRA Chief Wayne LaPierre was one of the guests on “Meet the Press” this morning.

Of course fellow lapdog, and deceptive video editor, Andrea Mitchell frames it as “challenging.” Oh, really?

Gee, why would he think the media are biased? Once again, David Gregory let his bias show and Twitter users rightfully called him out on it.

That was putting it kindly. Other Twitter users cut right to the chase: David Gregory is the epitome of a biased lapdog.

Of course! He’s oh-so-brave when toeing the liberal line. “Challenging” on Benghazi? Not so much.

Gregory also showed his willful ignorance.

He joins his buddy Piers “Musket” Morgan in that ignorance.

And, back to poor, clueless Howard Kurtz; does all the above help explain it, Mr. Kurtz?

We are givers, Mr. Kurtz, so we will help you out and save you from the arduous task of googling. You can also start here:

You’re welcome.

Update: Zing! Actor Adam Baldwin destroys Gregory with just two tweets.

Biased and a scofflaw?! Some reports on Twitter are suggesting that he may be.

Hmm. What say you, Gregory?

Twitchy will update with any further developments. Stay tuned!

Anyone who thought Gregory was unbiased after watching the last election cycle is probably “low information” enough to vote for Obama….twice.

If you go back and watch a lot of Russert’s interviews, you can tell where he draws a line on his beliefs, but he was still more objective than any of the current NBC lackeys.

    • lainer51

is that the same as being a moron? just askin…….

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

They can’t be “low information,” because they all know who someone called “Snooki” is, and who won American Idol. That’s some really important info, right there.

Also, they know, because they are smart, that semi-automatic guns fire hundreds of bullets… all at the same time!

So I think they are “High Amounts of Useless Information Morons.”

        • southernyank

I like it. Instead of “low information voters,” we should call them “useless information voters.”

    • ssenecal5000

Yeah, you knew there would be a petition about his law breaking…..lol

Demand Gregory be charged for his gun crimes.

    • HWGood

“probably “low information” enough to vote for Obama….twice”
Or maybe five or six times. In both elections.

  • Stone Bryson

Why does anyone even watch NBC News anymore? They sacrificed honorable journalism on the altar of activism ages ago.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeBeq0i03bg Booker

David Gregory is a disgrace. For all of Russert’s faults, when you entered his chamber, you knew you were going to be made uncomfortable, irrespective of your position. Man, if Tim was still alive, Susan Rice probably would have gone on 4 Sundays show instead of 5. He’s rolling over in his grave now, that’s for sure.

  • Bob Smooper

Great interview by Gregory who pushed hard against vile NRA monster LaPierre.

    • journogal

How is he a monster? For dare defending law-abiding gun owners? You think it’s cute and helpful to you if this administration decides to tweak the 2nd amendment. Once they get a foot in door regarding the amendments, what will stop them from tweaking others, including one or two that you would bother you. Then again, you might be the type who wants complete government control, thus never having to take responsibility for anything.

    • lainer51

why is he a monster? I think Lanza was the murderer, do not recall LaPierre being in the area? OJ is much scarier!

    • TocksNedlog

Well, look at YOU! Who’s the wittle guy that learned how to copy-paste leftist hate-screed blog headlines? Is it you? Did you do that all by yourself? Good boy! Here’s a gold star and a trophy just for showing up.

      • Bob Smooper

Gold star?! Now you are just giving me a hard time because I’m Jewish!

        • TocksNedlog

Perhaps there’s some hope for you yet. Time to dust off the Hebrew Bible and learn a thing or three!

  • bevtmaine

Wayne LaPierre says “the American people” support his stand. I’m one of the American people, as well as a teacher and a grandmother of a kindergarten student. His solution is reckless, simplistic, foolish and destructive. Most of “the American people” would agree with me, victims especially.

    • http://Twitter.com/jkerrysforehead John Kerry’s Forehead

Crimes, including mass murders, are foiled 4:1 by law abiding citizens carrying concealed weapons. But don’t let FACTS get in the way of the sand in your eyes and ears. Ask yourself why the Oregon mall shooting a few weeks ago didn’t get hardly any media attention…maybe because the guy was stopped by a CCW carrier and that doesn’t fit the anti-gun agenda. Until there is a cop for every citizen, we must be allowed to protect ourselves. Case in point, December 18,2012; where were the cops when I caught a man breaking into my neighbor’s house at 2am? They showed up 15 minutes later to find me holding the criminal at gun point. My neighbors are safe…thanks to me and my legal firearm. If you were my neighbor, I would make sure to just call the cops and wait the 15 minutes for them to arrive and seal of the murder scene.

      • Leslie Ward

It has nothing to do with agreeing with you or not (and like the majority of Americans – I DON”T) – the 2nd Amendment is about a RIGHT of the American people to be able to bear arms. A RIGHT, it’s that simple, the writers of the Constitution did not write muskets, a limit number or only males – NO RESTRICTIONS. A RIGHT – that people who daily through their own personal gun/carry, bodyguards or ability to afford gated communities/schools – avoid the crime and violence that their sidestepping of laws (Criminal Illegal Invaders, Gangs, plea bargaining, etc) – have inflicted upon the majority of America. And to prove my point – that it is best to have guns, than more gun control – Kennesaw GA – enacted MANDATORY head-of-household gun ownership in 1982, the 3 gun murders that have occurred since 1982 (30 years) – were in GUN FREE ZONES (i.e. the school zones). For those who want to read about it – http://politicaloutcast.com/2012/07/the-most-pro-gun-low-crime-city-in-the-united-states/
It is first, and most importantly – A RIGHT.

        • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Yay, someone else who knows how Kennesaw is a model to be looked at.

I remember reading about the Old West. Everyone had a gun, and everyone was polite to one another. I certainly wouldn’t be belligerent to someone I knew had a gun… it’s a simple matter of respect, if not for the man, then at least for the weapon, lol.

    • lainer51

You are wrong – most Americans DO NOT agree with you.. look it up. Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy – mass murderers, no guns…

      • Purple State

There’s a difference between a mass murderer and a serial killer. Mass murderers murder a mass of people in one spree. Serial killers like Gacy and Bundy generally kill one at a time over years.

        • lainer51

doesn’t change the point… no guns used – over 100 dead between the 2 of them….

          • Purple State

Who has argued that gun control will eliminate all violence? Of course gun control won’t stop knifings or stranglings. It’s not intended to!

          • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

No, it’s intended to increase crime. The math doesn’t lie. More guns, less crime. Every. Single. Time.

          • lainer51

then what is all the whining about? Evil has been around since the beginning of time, always will be.. that is the world we live in. To continue to blame the NRA is ridiculous… Adam Lanza killed those poor children, no one else!

          • TocksNedlog

Is it ‘intended’ to INCREASE knifings and stranglings? Or is that just an ‘un’intended consequence?

        • TocksNedlog

Yes, well it IS more palatable when they take their time, isn’t it.

      • MoxieLouise

And have you noticed whenever the school bombing that killed 45 in Michigan gets mentioned, all we get is crickets and drool from the usually vociferous left?

        • lainer51

definitely – most of the drool comes from Matthews !

    • MoxieLouise

I am an American and a grandmother; also a victim of crime, and I respecfully disagree with you. Also, there’s something wrong when you lump the four words “reckless, simplistic, foolish and destructive” together. Simplistic is not a bad thing. Our government could use more of it. Have you read our tax codes? The Affordable Care Act? Enforcement of the gun laws we already have is down 45% over the last 4 years. Why don’t we start there before we pile on more laws that criminals aren’t going to obey anyway?

    • GaryTheBrave

I don’t agree with you. We have tried for several decades the cower-and-hide approach with respect to assaults. That just gives plenty of time for the assailant to murder as many as he or she wished.

The NRA as well as I propose active resistance. Imagine if it was more than just the Principal that attacked the murderer simultaneously. Imagine if she had pepper spray, a taser gun, or a firearm to use against him.

It is people like Sens. Laughtenburg, Schumer, Boxer, and Feinstein, Rep. McCarthy, and Sarah Brady who have actively advocated that people be defenseless. They allowed, yes, even gave permission to murderers.

    • Purple State

You’re correct. Most of “the American people” support gun control over gun rights. http://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/poll-gun-control-beats-2nd-amendment-85376.html?hp=r5

      • lainer51

politico are hacks, backs Obama on every issue , not a good example

        • Purple State

Politico didn’t conduct the poll. Pew did. Follow the link in the story. Findings are the same.

          • lainer51

well then, if the polls are correct, let’s see if Barry has the “pair” to go after gun control – will be interesting to watch and let the chips fall where they may.

      • TocksNedlog

If it’s “most” then it must be ‘the 47%’ that own ALL of the guns.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Survivors of crime usually buy a gun, so there goes your victims.

Mass shootings only succeed in gun-free zones. So there goes your “simplistic” and “reckless” accusation.

And what would be destructive and foolish, would be to try and confiscate guns. Under the Second Amendment, gun owners have a right to defend themselves from something so incredibly foolish.

Criminals murder people. Not law-abiding gun owners. So breaking the law of the land to incite violent reprisal would only result in rivers of blood, and after it’s all over, Criminals will still be the ones who murder people. So you can side with the rivers of blood approach if you want. Me, I’ll stick with the Constitution.

      • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Exactly. If they are willing to ignore the law against murder, what’s a gun law going to do? Last I checked, the penalty for murder is worse than illegally possessing a firearm.

    • TocksNedlog

This person is correct. When they interview the survivors of these mass shootings and ask them, “Do you wish that someone you were with had a gun and could have shot the killer before he shot you?” they ALWAYS answer, “No. I just wish that the police had arrived sooner — so that THEY could have shot the killer before he shot me.”

  • BeeKaaay

No surprise there. Leftwingwackoism is all about propaganda and lies.

  • http://Twitter.com/jkerrysforehead John Kerry’s Forehead

What is this NBC and Meet The Press you speak of? Who is David Gregory and why should I care?

Frustrating as this period may be, some good may come of it. After what was seen during the run up to the election, and following the outrage in Newtown, and now the gang tackle of Wayne LaPierre and the NRA, the image and credibility of the Demedia* can only be damaged significantly. With a diminishing audience, the Demedia will have a reduced opportunity to influence the general public.

If we could add to that a determined campaign to “bleed” the Demedia financially, think of the good that might result. I can dream, can’t I?

    (* short for Democratic media)

  • Guest

I miss Walter Cronkite and Harry Reasoner. Back when journalist had some credibility and weren’t so blatantly biased. They just read the news and actually cared about exposing corrupt politicians. After the “editing” done to the George Zimmerman video and the halftime Costas gun control rant I will NEVER watch NBC again.

  • Jack Deth

There’s a reason why I don’t watch Sunday Morning Liberal Talking Heads.

I’m sure that Chris Plante or his Christmas fill in will have countless soundbites of the debacle Monday morning on his DC radio show.

I’m guessing Mr. LaPierre remained calm while Gregory ranted and chewed scenery.

What passes for eloquent debate has spiraled into the far more feral “Joe Pyne” late night talk show of the early 1960s.

His having Lester Maddox and H. Rap Brown on the same stage for two hours would have been epic. If the show wasn’t blanked out once axe handles and revolvers were brandished on stage.

Kick a pig. Get a grunt out of it.

Wasting your FIRST and only comment on something so lame?

If Mr. Gregory did, in fact brandish a functioning high capacity 30 round magazine on a set in Washington, DC. And the screen capture shows that he did. He is most certainly in violation of DC’s ban on that type of magazine. And is either too stupid or arrogant to be aware of the television show’s large audience witnessed the act.

        • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

What if it was empty? I didn’t see the clip, either one….

          • Jack Deth

            Hi, KAdams:

Empty or loaded. The curved, 30 round magazine Mr. Gregory is holding is illegal to own in Washington, DC.

Thanks :) I grew up in Illinois, so guns are as foreign as Fiats and Chinatown.

The morons once again have hijacked the discussion based loosely on facts and more on agenda and narrative. The talking points are available daily from the White House and if people are misinformed in the meantime the ends justify the means. A lot of the issues we are facing today can be clearly traced to the liberal, PC narrative that have harmed our children, families, communities, schools and our fiscal foundation. It is time to tune out the pundits and not give them credibility. The Obama voter is lost to reason and it makes no sense to try to clue them in now. They are long gone!

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Scoop has the full interview. For a palate cleanser, you have to see Ted Nugent on Piers Morgan. Major. Smackdown.

  • MarcoAurelius

They should rename that show “Meet the Morons.”

This gets better by the minute. Sidwell Friends to hire (another) armed guard. Do Mr.and Mrs. Obama thinks that’s “crazy”?

For that matter, does Mr. Gregory think that’s “crazy”? After all, HIS children also attend Sidwell.

It’s all so Victorian Britain (and let’s not forget the Fabian socialists); those who reside at good addresses always know what’s best for the “little people.”

  • mcarVA

I fear for the future of the United States of America. Sadly it seems that even though we thought we defeated Communism (en maze) after winning the cold war, it turns out that the Communists were smarter and more patient than the majority of the American public gave them credit for. The Democratic Party has picked up the Hammer and Sickle banner and shoved it down the throat of what was once a great, free and liberty loving society. Socialism and servitude, here we come. *cry*

  • $23629333

Turns out that David Gregory is a hypocrite – on top of everything else. According to Daniel Halper – at The Weekly Standard – Gregory sends his children to Sidwell Friends, which has police officers providing protection. With Pres. Obama’s daughters also attending that school, there is the added security of their Secret Service detail.

If Wayne LaPierre knew that – and didn’t mention it – he’s far too much of a gentleman.

  • HWGood

Just one more liberal using the umbrella of his politics to cover his criminal acts. Let a conservative perform some similar demonstration and the police would be all over him/her.

Wayne LaPierre is French.. & Fried!

As Julia Child once remarked: “If no one’s in the kitchen, who’s to see it?”

Or: “Soufflés don’t kill people; bad soufflés kill people.”

Apparently LaPierre thought appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press” would be
like using a new dry cleaner, but all that resulted was steam.
Listening closely as LaPierre dodged every question shot at him, he
deftly ducked behind a stack of 50 year old copies of the National
Review, the Women’s Wear Daily of the gun lobby.

No, like Pontius Pilates, LaPierre stood his ground while seated. He
faced down the hard questions with the soft sell. In a nutshell, here
    is his three-point wide stance.

    1) More drug dealers need to be sent to prison. An excellent point
as we need more drugs in prison. It is, like prisons themselves, a
    growth market.

    2) Violent movies such as “Natural Born Killers” are corrupting our
youth. Yes, that 20th Anniversary DVD edition must have somehow
tainted a VHS-less generation into mass slaughter. If only Oliver Stone
had been stopped earlier by a more aggressively marketed Betamax,
things like this (and JFK) wouldn’t have happened.

    3) Armed guards at schools. OK, Wayne forgot that 1/3rd of all
schools already have guards, or that there were armed guards at
Columbine, Virginia Tech, etc. Let’s give this hero some slack; he’s
only one man with 3,742 guns under his bed.

My 2013 resolution, no more fried… anything.
