As Twitchy reported, the FBI went into Paula Broadwell’s home on Monday night. Evidently, with good reason. Classified documents were found on Broadwell’s computer earlier. How about in her home?

Reportedly, it is true. Classified documents were found in her home and the FBI is re-opening its probe.

Broadwell has also admitted to taking the documents … from “secure” government buildings.

The questions keep coming. Why was the FBI probe dropped? And now re-opened? Who knew what, and when?

Twitchy will continue to monitor and will update with further developments.

Taking classified materials? That’s some serious jail time. Just look at what happened to Sandy Berge… oh, right.

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

      Sloppy, sloppy Sandy.

  • Marcy Cook

If those documents can hurt a certain someone in the WH I hope she kept copies with someone she can trust…God knows she had them long enough.

  • FromNJ

Theft is theft. Throw her in jail. Of course that’s probably not going to happen, but I can dream, can’t I?

    • Cold War Grunt

If she is still on any sort of duty with Army (reserve or guard) I believe she can be prosecuted under the UCMJ for the affair alone. The documents on her computer and in her house are damning. She can be put in the cell next to PFC Manning today AFAIC.

  • Gusta

If those were an insurance policy against the administration, I sure hope she made copies.

  • Bob Khan

Still sounds like more decoy action from the powers in the WH to divert our attention from Benghazi. Not buying it.

    • Jack Deth

I’m getting the same vibe, Bob.

Unless the Army is ready to prosecute West Point Academy graduate and
Army Reserve Lt. Colonel Paula Broadwell for espionage under the UCMJ. With all its attendant bells and whistles. This is all just more smoke and mirrors.

    • Cold War Grunt

      Quack quack, waddle waddle.

A decent, but somewhat one-sided analysis since it again portrays the general as the victim of manipulation. Please, let’s retire this sad meme already. For this is not quite as simple as Broadwell “insinuating herself into his world” through her dogged persistence against all odds.

Recall that Petraeus gave her his card and encouraged her to contact him. He lapped up her googly-eyed adoration of his “leadership,” a subject with which this woman has been obsessed all her life.

These two are a match made in the American elite’s gop sociopathic heaven.

For anyone keeping score: So far, EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved in this Petraeus scandal is a Republican.

Holly Solomon and Paula Broadwell stellar conservative women that should be looked up to. Yet somehow Eva Longoria is wretched.

      • cupsmom

Who is saying they are stellar woman? We know they didnt say this though
“I have no idea why any woman/minority can vote for Romney,” . “You have to be stupid to vote for such a racist/misogynistic tw*t.” Pretty wretched dont you think? What a lady ..

      • Cold War Grunt

If you do a bit of research you’ll find postings, on this site that refute your statements with regard to Paula Broadwell. I’ve seen not one post here on any thread, expressing that she is or should be admired.

Ms. Broadwell engaged in an illicit affair with a married man. Period full stop. It is said, it takes two to tango. Well, they both dug a hole. Ben Stein said it pretty well, I’ll summarize — ‘He’s a better man than I, but a worse man than I.’ What they did was wrong, and my admiration for the man is gone. I have none Ms. Broadwell, never have, never will.

        • michael s

I can recall many posts ragging female Pres Obama supporters ,especially the obamaphone woman. So I decided to as I told NCGirl hold up a metaphorical mirror on the actions of Republican/Conservative females. Good you’re not defending Paula and David.

          • Cold War Grunt

I can accept that, thank you for taking the time to explain your position. When we exchange ideas, we all learn. We may not agree in the end — but agreement to disagree is what makes this country a great place.

    • Nov-cubed

Certainly all those calling for investigation are.
If anyone is keeping score. . . .

    • GTFOBigGovt

Last time I checked, Obama, Clinton, Rice and Panetta were Democrats. The General was manipulated in so far as he believed whatever “deal” he thought he had made. Or do you actually think that he didn’t have any CIA vetting for that job and this was one big secret. Oh wait. Everybody in Afghanistan knew. Try again. They ALL should be in jail for treason and yes him too. He’s supposed to be WORKING not following the Bill Clinton B.J.’s under the desk all day model.

Perhaps you forget Obama won his very first election because of a sex scandal in sealed divorce records his thugs successfully had unsealed. At the cost of his child being forever victimized by it.

  • michael s

Michelle Bachmann said Huma Abedin should be investigated. She might be an MB sleeper. So many of you just totally agreed. An innocent brown woman racially profiled was OK with many of you. Now we have Paula Broadwell a white woman GENUINELY having access to the nations top spy. Plus having secret documents . A genuine white mole doesn’t get profiled, but an INNOCENT brown woman does.

    • Jim Denney

And you know she is “innocent” because …?
Just kidding, conservatives understand facts are hard for you people.

      • michael s

        Because of whom you’re defending.

        • Cold War Grunt

She’s not innocent — she has classified material that she isn’t authorized to have. She’s not innocent of the affair either.

Is it nice in your reality?

          • michael s

I was speaking to Jim Denney regarding who is innocent. I know Paula isn’t innocent of an affair. She and petraus copped to it. I know she’s not innocent of having classified material, again she copped to it. I waited for the facts before I spoke about Paula. Without any evidence Huma is targeted .

          • Cold War Grunt

Michael — those are fair points, and accepted. But without a more detailed investigation, how can we have any evidence. A relative with an Israeli citizenship can impact the ability of someone to get security clearances above a certain level. How can somebody with a relative that is a member of terrorist organization possibly be allowed to be that close to the Sect. of State without a proper, open session (and probably closed sessions as well) of the House Intelligence Committee?

    • Vennoye

This has nothing to do with race. You lefties are foaming at the mouth about race! Do you ever think about anything else?

      • michael s

Victim of racism, can’t be a racist.

        • Cold War Grunt

Yes they can, and apparently rather ignorant as well.

        • Vennoye

Apparently, they are the most racist!

    • Cold War Grunt

Profiled? She’s a top level aid to the Secretary of State of the United States of America, and never properly vetted. She has family members that are actively involved with the Muslim Brotherhood. How can she possibly have a security clearance. Why must everything be about race or wealth these days?

And Broadwell was very well vetted — she was/is an officer in the military, Army I believe. Her clearance was suspended yesterday for improper handling / possession of classified material.

Can we stick to facts, rather than cries of racism, victimization, witch-hunting and other sundry unsubstantiated fabrications please. Really …

    • Terry

What race does one have to be to have ties to the Muslem Brotherhood?

  • Leslie Ann Brown

Oh what a twisted web we weave when we practice to deceive!

  • Grumpa Grumpus

    Broadwell not a conservative.
Neither are the other players in this drama.
We defended Petraeus against unjust and unwarranted over the top criticism— remember “Betray-us”, perchance?

That was at a time before he’d become he’d become the darling of Der Dingleberry™’s administration!

Oh, and by the way: great pick Dingleberry™!

  • Teresa_Michelle

Well, those hits just keep on coming. What a ridiculous, sad and pathetic debacle. Remember BENGHAZI. This is a big, fat shiny squirrel distraction. Time to play chess, not checkers.

  • disappearing moderate

As always, this administration is masterful when it comes to timing. These late breaking discoveries just happen to occur as Petraeus is set to testify. If his testimony hurts the white house, his credibility will be attacked on the grounds that he is not only a philanderer, but a security risk as well.

  • JustLikeAnimals

Interesting that POTUS says in his presser that there was no classified info released as a result of this debacle, and now the news breaks that she has a veritable storehouse of classified materials on her PC that she admits taking from various government locations. So POTUS is either a blatant liar, or is so out of touch with what is going on that he doesn’t meet the requirements for basic intelligence and situational awareness to be POTUS.

    Pick one.

    • disappearing moderate

O’s standard stall/wiggle tactic- it’s under investigation, don’t you know, and by the way, how dare you offend me by asking a real question.

  • Terry

She probably admitted to taking documents that weren’t classified, but sometime in the past month when she wasn’t home, they planted a bunch of classifieds in her house and she didn’t even know they were in there. Anything they can do to divert attention to The One’s epic fail in Benghazi. I just hope Petraeous speaks the truth when he testifies.
