Boom! As Twitchy reported, President Obama spent part of yesterday in a canoodle-fest with Governor Christie in New Jersey. During his aerial survey of the devastating damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, he was greeted with this, Jersey-style!

Awesome. And these Twitter users agree.

I was wondering what Biden was doing out there in the shore….hahahahha

  • Madalena Snook

I’m sure glad Biden spelled Romney correctly.

      LOL

LOL!!!! He thought he was in Maine, or Delaware or….somewhere….

He was in Florida but thought it was Ohio

LOL!!!! He thought he was in Maine, or Delaware or….somewhere….

  • Samuel F Walker

So much for them getting ObamaPhones…

  • Kay Coyoteco

    Can Obama read?

    • Joanne DeCarolis

well, we never DID see his school records. But he is pretty reliant on those teleprompters so I’m guessing yes.

      • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Only 7th grade math level though, so I really don’t know about the reading part.

  • radjahshelduck

Is that a hashtag written in the sand just seaward? I can’t make it out.

  • $8182155

God bless you Twitchy, but what is that under Romney’s name? I’m anticipating some wild guesses on both sides.

    • http://twitter.com/512kjt Dumbfounded

It was “sucks” but was written after the initial ROMNEY was etched in the sand. You can see the differences in contrast in the sand. It was then scratched out. Initial message is still there though, ROMNEY!

      • Joe

So they wrote Romney, then wrote sucks, then someone scratched out sucks, then took the photo? Your timeline is in line with mine. Whenever I write Romney Sucks, I never start with the sucks part first.

  • Pat

OMG…I love it! Gotta love those Jersey folks–always thinking, even in the face of adversity!

    • disqus_LASIg6epmj

I’m friends with some transplanted NJers down south here and they’ve got spunk.

  • Guest

What is written below Romney? I can’t tell.

  • Guest

    That’s so classy.

  • Shimm

It looks like someone spelled out “ROMNEY” and then someone else (the writing styles are totally different) came along and spelled out “sucks” below it, and then apparently someone else (the first person?) came along and rubbed out the word “sucks.” That’s 2 to 1…the exact proportion I expect Romney to win in the popular vote.

    • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Yeah, but I don’t see the ‘K’ in sucks. So who knows, lol.

  • rivers

What turned Christie into such a suck up? How does letting Obama come in for a photo op help the people of New Jersey; they don’t have real work to do?

    • Rev TJ Conwell

Real simple: Gov Christie was trying to do what Gov Blanco (from Louisiana) FAILED to do following Hurricane Katrina. Neither Obama or the White House has anything to do with actually releasing federal money (states request … gov’t releases); but Christie wanted it VERY obvious that his state was asking for relief and asking for relief NOW. So, if kissing BO’s butt for a day means he gets to help his folks now then call his re-election campaign manager brilliant. Just my humble opinion of course …

      • rivers

I don’t know, I think it could backfire on Christie. He’s an R in a D state, he is polarizing, he is probably going to be up against Superman (Corey Booker – he’s a D and nonetheless he seems like an admirable guy), and now Christie has alienated a lot of his (formerly) ardent supporters. If it’s a calculated move towards re-election I don’t know that it will have the desired out come.

        • iam4everamazed

It kept Obama off of the campaign trail for an extra day and let Romney get out there ahead of him! I say it was a good move by Christie!

        • iam4everamazed

Any day without the angry, nasty BHO on TV ads, the better!

        • Joanne DeCarolis

He won the respect of people who don’t like him. I haven’t heard anyone in NJ dis him yet.

      • Janet Silverstein

Got to agree – Blanco and Mayor Nagen were so at odds with the Bush administration, their constituents suffered as a result. Gov Christie just showed he put his NJ citizens, who voted him in office, ahead of all partisan politics to get help. Think this may be more uniting than polarizing.

    • http://twitter.com/advancingtruth Claire Adams

Here’s what I was thinking, optimistically. His willingness kills the fallacy that GOPers don’t want to work with Dems. We are always trying to work with democrats to fix the big problems, so this isn’t unusual. Why WOULD Christie say no, and, more importantly, how could he have said no and avoiding being totally excoriated for it by the media?

But the gubernatorial election stuff is good theory, too!

      • Guest

I think Christie has his own agenda and Romney be damned. Christie was no help at the convention nor the campaign trail. He seems angry that he was not chosen as the Presidential candidate. He could have made his point of co-operation without having to go so far overboard. I think he’s making a play for 2016… and I think this hurt him.

        Just my opinion… no facts.

        • Joanne DeCarolis

he didn’t even run in the primary!

          • http://twitter.com/AUBraves AUBraves

No, he didn’t. But as everyone knows, he was considered the Savior in waiting for the Republicans… but even after Rick Perry blew it, they never called his name.

      • Joanne DeCarolis

He is a governor. First and foremost his responsibility is to take care of his state. And that’s what he’s doing. I like your fallacy theory 😉

  • ChHarrison

I grew up spending a good part of my childhood summers reveling in the tacky glory of Atlantic City and other shore towns. I hope Christie and all the rest in NJ realize their wonderful beach communities are gone forever, especially if BO wins. His EPA and the environmentists simply will not permit anyone to rebuild in the way we remember. I don’t think they’ll allow anyone to rebuild the Boardwalk or all the amusement piers much less their cottages and home. UPDATE: From Drudge Report: “Some environmentalists say New Jersey should consider not rebuilding everything lost to Superstorm Sandy.” http://www.myfoxdc.com/story/19973431/battered-nj-agonizes-over-whether-to-rebuild-shore

Looks like it said “Romney s-cks”, but providence washed away the vulgarity. I love nature.

    • Guest

Looks more like it says “Romney Hurry”.

  • DLCramer

I’d like to shake that persons hand. Right On!!!!

  • michael s

This is real childish and all of you would say so if it said Obama. If you approve of this, then don’t get mad when a Romney outing is treated in a similar manner.

  • LuCha

I’m guessing it says “owns your ass” under it but that’s just me…

  • http://www.facebook.com/clare.leary Clare Liebendorfer Leary

I’m sure President Obama was focusing on much more important matters at the time to register too much concern about this!

    • Craig Collet

Yeah, like how he can use this Hurricane to draw attention from the fact he got a bunch of people killed in Benghazi.

    • http://www.facebook.com/patricia.gray.79219 Patricia Gray

yeah, like his upcoming loss. I’m from Point Pleasant, and I approve that message!

    • Joe

He probably laughed his ass off because it originally said Romney sucks.

  • Mapache

Looks like they crossed out the “sucks” part.

    • Jim_West

      Agreed.

    • Bill_Woods

      Or maybe it said, “$ucks”?

It says Romney Massacres. Wake up!!!, the kind of thought patterns your displaying is what has gotten this world in this predicament in the first place. You are nothing more than slaves to these politicians you prove this by your actions and words. Your thought patterns have blinded you to the point to where you see only what you want to see. A people with no common ground ,a house devided. A dog will always return to his vomit, you cast your pearls before swine. Wake up and be the god you were created to be, not the idolitors you have become. As it is they are your gods and their religion is your sanctuary. You are carried on the waves of religion and politics, this is the very reason creation is flucuating the way it is. The authority you have been given you you have turned over to fools. This is a great sadness.

I guess people saw through Obama’s photo op!!! If it weren’t for reelection I doubt he would bother, remember BP oil spill, how long did it take this slug to respond let alone a visit. Christie a sell out? I wonder if Christie ask him about Benghazi, why did Obama let four Americans being murdered while he watched. I say “Stand down” on Obama.

  • Gallatin

I am willing to concede that it may have said “sucks” underneath, however before obowmao and the libtard press flew over a true American made sure they got the picture that was tweeted.

  • Guest

Thanks to J for the bigger version. First question, how the he|| did someone get a picture from this angle the day after a hurricane? The word looks like “sucks,” but it also looks like the whole picture is a Photoshop job. Get a picture of a beach, add words “Romney” and “sucks,” do a crappy job of partially obscuring the word sucks. Ultimately to give the impression that some Republican is trying to foolishly get away with something and the Dems can shout Aha!

    • Joe

      Moon landing was a hoax

Maybe someone needs to do an image search, keywords beach, litter and see if this pic comes up without the sandffiti.

I’d really like to see someone write an article on this fact, that has been reported by the Center for Immigration Studies, Romney & the GOP should have shouted this from the rooftops, under Obama 2/3s of all new hires went to newly imported immigrants, the visa workers Obama & his tech czar Vivek Kundra brought in, 160,000 a month from 2009 onwards, not US citizens or immigrants who were here before Obama was elected. http://www.cis.org/who-got-jobs-during-obama-presidency

I believe that originally it was just “Romney” written in the sand, but then a dumb ass teen came along and added “sucks” under it. The two words have different style/hand writing and the later word isn’t as deep.

  • Nina S.

You do realize that the word underneath “Romney” is SUCKS but was crossed out before the pic was taken, right?

  • Barack Hussein Sharpton

Point Pleasant is a nice, clean, classy family town. Obviously not the kind of place where you’d tend to find Obama loving miscreants.

Doesn’t it say SUCKS under it?

  • APC

Wow, you are all so funny and clever. We’re experiencing the disastrous and heartbreaking aftermath from a historic storm and all of you are having fun leaving your ridiculous comments. I am a NJ native, I support the President AND I like Chris Christie. The Governor and the President were doing what we elected them to do for us. And if any of you bothered to listen to what Christie has said, he has nothing but high praise for our President and balked at the suggestion from some dope at Fox News that Romney come to our state for some photo ops. Romney, by the way didn’t bother to call the governors from either of our neighboring states, just the republican. Enjoy yourselves and your stupidity. Here in NJ we have a lot more to worry about than your trivial political point scoring crap. I know that our governor would agree with me.
