Oh, dear. Can one self-rope? Is that even possible?!

Mockery swiftly ensued.

But, wait, he did say he’s a genius! His IQ? A “big effing deal.”

  • Danny Wheeler

Rope-a-dope. Nope. Biden’s just a dope with no hope.

  • Kenny Hitt

If Biden went bungee jumping, would that make him a dope-on-a-rope?

  • Shawn Smith

Once he’s out of office, this dope will need soap to wash out the stink of lies about “Hope.” I’m not sure how he’s going to cope. He’ll probably just mope.

  • Grumpa Grumpus

    Biden:
    “You ever see me rope-a-dope?”

And who says Biden hasn’t a sense of humor?

    But, in a serious vein–
No joe: I don’t watch VP-exCongress critters practice autoerotic asphyxiation.

Go play with your choo-choo trains now! Obviously you’ve “roped the dope” once too often!

Too bad no one told you that oxygen starvation causes brain death.

Grumpa, we’re thinking alike today, but you put it much funnier than I was going to!

        Thx!
Success at attempted humor is purely accidental, I assure you!

“You ever see me rope a dope?”
Actually, yes. It was when you roped Obama into picking you as VP. Good going.

    • TomJB

Biden was picked to be President Obama’s “Impeachment Insurance”

  • $18912735

Biden had much less hair in 1988. Just sayin’.

    Also: “rope-a-dope”? RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tjp77

Oh lordy. This is going to be quite a spectacle.

I hope Ryan has a shiv hidden in his belt or something, because I’m pretty sure Biden is sharpening the end of his toothbrush right now.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Hank-DeCat/100001190387982 Hank DeCat

Ya know, there is an expression that old age & treachery always triumphs over youth & skill. Now, I’m not saying Biden is going to blow Ryan out of the water the way Romney did to Obama. What I am saying is that while Biden is a dope, he isn’t a punk like Obama who talks trash behind his opponents back when he’s safe at a rally but when face to face with him gets all sullen & petulant. Biden will not be rolling his eyes & not at least *trying* to rebut Ryan’s points like Obama did at the Denver debate –he’ll definitely at least look Ryan in the face. So while I think Ryan will “win” the debate, unless he delivers an indisputable knock out, Biden will probably spew enough b.s. that he pulls out of thin air for the MSM to spin the debate into a “draw.”

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

I hear you, Hank. It may be enough for the LSM to spin it, but I think Joe will come off looking like a bitter, old Uncle that has been staying at your house for a couple of weeks past his welcome.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Hank-DeCat/100001190387982 Hank DeCat

LOL! Good description of Biden & that is my gut feeling on how it will play out too — but I’m glad you understand my wariness on how the MSM will try to spin it.

        • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Anyone that remembers Joe from his earlier days in the Senate recall that he can be a really nasty SOB, especially in front of a camera.

      • lainer51

would you even let him stay at your house?
Isn’t plagarism the equivalent of stealing?

        • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Not Joe. A bitter, old Uncle, but not Joe.

  • CalCon10

    “Pride cometh before the fall.”

Biden is a very able public persona. He wouldn’t have won election to the Senate all these years, if he wasn’t. He’s like the gaga uncle who can pull it together and seem charming and sane on big occasions.

    • Grumpa Grumpus

      @CalCon10:

      I beg-to-differ.
JoeyChompers isn’t a competent public person, rather:
      a) he bribed and/or scared his constituents to retain his seat…
      (b) he serves a bedroom community of the fed, so probably over three-quarters of the vote for him are direct employees…
      ;~J}

Over a decade of listening to this twerp’s statements, (listening to both what he’s said & the way he said it…), has convinced me he watched the movie “The Godfather” and truly aspires to be an improved version of Don Corleone.

I say that in complete seriousness. Watch what he says and does while considering what I’ve just written and you’ll most likely agree.

The Romney campaign has proven just how far B. S. can stretch. The GOP tax policies have already been disproven over the last ten years by the hole they got us into and our inability to recover from them. They offer generalizations and patriotic, feel good buzz words and slogans to cover for the specifics they refuse to offer because they know the the specifics will not fly with the majority of the electorate. Their refusal to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire is nothing more than subterfuge to follow through with spending cuts in entitlements, including social security, medicare, medicaid, educational grants, Obamacare, unemployment insurance, and other government regulatory programs. The Democrats and media have failed miserably in informing the electorate of the degree of obstructionism created by Congressional Republicans to prevent passage of Democratic legislation designed to improve the economy. Poor and middle income wage earners are the “collateral damage”, who are suffering from this GOP strategy of the last four years. Rewarding them by returning them to office so they can double down on their goal of enriching the wealthy even more is beyond ludicrous

    • tjp77

Subterfuge? What the hell are you talking about? We come right out and say that we want to keep taxes low AND cut entitlement spending. This isn’t some big secret you’ve stumbled upon.

As for the obstructionism, well, that’s what congressional Republicans were ELECTED for. They all ran on a platform saying that they’d BLOCK the Obama agenda, and won… why is anyone now surprised that they actually did exactly what they said they were going to do all along?

When Obama had free reign with his policies in his first two years, people were horrified by what he was attempting. The Republicans won a huge midterm victory because the people wanted Obama reigned in. Nothing he did was helping the economy.

      • SAndrews

Well said. I regret that I have only one like to give for this comment.

        • GEORGE_W_TUSH

“As for the obstructionism, well, that’s what congressional Republicans were ELECTED”
        ????????????????????????????????
        This is ☆BREAKING NEWS☆

Talk about evolving, finally you admit to obstructing the progress of Americans. How very patriotic of you.

Considering what POTUS has done to revive Bush’s lifeless economy in the face of GOP
obstruction, he deserves a Nobel Prize in Economics

7.3% Unemployment. Jobless claims fall to lowest in 4 1/2 years: Pres. Obama prevails. GOP obstruction fails

        • tjp77

Plunging the country into socialism and blowing up the deficit isn’t progress. And yes, it’s very patriotic to put a stop to it.

And if you think a 7.3% unemployment rate and 30-year low in labor participation is something to be happy about, you’re completely insane.

There’s no way to spin Obama’s failure. He’s the worst president in American history.

          • GEORGE_W_TUSH

Ohhh the hypocrisy neever stops. They’re protesting an unknown saying he’s going to spread his message of ‘socialism’. All while their kids are sitting safe and sound in public schools…….a product of socialism. They’re probably going to mail messages to each other using the USPS …. another product of socialism. And drive to the schools to protest using roads……yet another example of socialism. Then the police will be called into action to protect the children…….. at the expense of *gasp* socialism.

Seems they don’t mind reaping the benefits of socialism while using the same topic to bash someone not of their kind.

Unemployment down. Stocks up. Home prices rising. Bin Laden dead. Big Bird alive we’re holding Barack Obama accountable

          • tjp77

You should learn the difference between ‘civics’ and ‘socialism’, because none of what you mentioned is a product of socialism.

I always laugh when liberals talk about the many benefits of socialism and then reveal that they don’t actually know what socialism is.

          • GEORGE_W_TUSH

It’s a shame that stupidity can’t be converted into a usable energy source.

You are truly in the correct party my friend.

          • truebeliever101

Do you even know what “socialism” is? Do you know what effect it has on countries that embrace it? Just look at Europe right now. Is that how you want America to look?

        • truebeliever101

No, progress was not obstructed. The complete decimation of our constitution was obstructed. Although, it still took a few dangerous hits.

      • truebeliever101

tjp77–nothing he’s still doing is helping the economy. As you say, it was not the Republican tax policies that got us into this mess. Our country does not have an income problem, it has a spending problem. And a regulation problem. And a government intervention into the private sector problem. I could go on for pages…

    • TomJB

      CLICHE ALERT!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Hank-DeCat/100001190387982 Hank DeCat

Yet, Obama’s going to lose anyway.

    • Shawn Smith

Where was this democratic legislation to save the economy in the two years of democratic control of the presidency and both houses?

      • SAndrews

In all fairness, the budgets passed the last three years have some of the lowest spending rates EVER!

        Oh wait…

        • truebeliever101

Oh yeah, that’s right! None of Obama’s budgets got a single vote…even from his own party. But, give him credit, he tried, even though the CBO said they couldn’t rate a “wish list.” The democrat Harry Reid controlled Senate hasn’t even put forth budget in well over 1000 days. But, you know, they really are looking out for our country…

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Yeah. Those tax cuts, passed by both parties in 01 & 03 really screwed us up after having our financial center bombed by Muslims and then an Anthrax scare through our mail system. Those 4.5% unemployment numbers for almost all of the Bush years really sucked. If only Republicans Dodd and Frank hadn’t screwed the pooch by forcing banks to lend to people with no hope of paying them off.

You really called that one right!

Paul Ryan: The Lyin’ King looks like he’s forever trapped in a 90s teen sitcom
Mitt lied then Ryan lied about Mitt’s lies Then Mitt lied about his own lies which was lied about by Ryan. Now Joe has to debate a Lyin Ryan?
    Get your popcorn ready

    • Shawn Smith

Truth: Look up the video Paul Ryan and Timothy Geithner. Ryan cites the Congressional Budget Office numbers that, on the current path, the U.S. economy implodes under government debt in 2027. Geithner doesn’t dispute this point and admits the Obama administration has no plan to correct it.

There’s your hope and change: No plan to save our economy and a complete breakdown in 15 years.
