No, it’s not. What the Obama administration is doing right now is the antithesis of everything upon which this nation was founded. Kudos, champ! In the administration’s despicable attempts to blame a film for violence and deaths at our embassies, all as a way to justify its own failed and deadly policies of appeasement, they are condemning free speech and trying to make it a criminal act.

As Twitchy reported, the Pentagon called a private American citizen to ask him to withdraw his support for the film. Then, the administration asked YouTube to take down the video, all while investigating the filmmaker. Next, in a chilling display, they brought him in for questioning. His crime? CrimeThink. Secretary of State Clinton shamelessly and shamefully again blamed free speech while flanked with the coffins of the four Americans killed in Libya. Americans who exemplified our ideals and principles. Americans who fought for the very freedom she condemned.

This is not America.

No, it’s not. This isn’t alarmism. This is reality under President Obama and if your blood isn’t boiling, you aren’t paying attention. Blogger Ace of Spades, and fellow citizens, spell it out for those who may only get their news from Obama fanboys in the media.

Dude. When you are worse than President Carter …

Using a “probation matter” as a defense does not wash, as Instapundit points out:

And that’s pretty clearly what’s happened here. Though to be fair, they didn’t actually prosecute him. Just took him downtown to answer a few questions. Voluntarily. After midnight. With a lot of TV cameras there, somehow.

And sorry, claims that this was just a routine probation matter don’t pass the laugh test. They’re just pure hackery.

Ace of Spades and GayPatriot give a drubbing to that line of thinking as well.

Bingo. They are not meant to be the blasphemy police.

Not hopeandchange ™. Fundamental change of America and its principles on a beyond chilling level.

The Daily Caller‘s Jim Treacher asks for caption for the photo of the filmmaker being led away in a police car. And Instapundit says that President Obama should resign. Silly rubes, bitterly clinging to your free speech.

More from Instapundit:

When taking office, the President does not swear to create jobs. He does not swear to “grow the economy.” He does not swear to institute “fairness.” The only oath the President takes is this one:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

By sending — literally — brownshirted enforcers to engage in — literally — a midnight knock at the door of a man for the non-crime of embarrassing the President of the United States and his administration, President Obama violated that oath. You can try to pretty this up (It’s just about possible probation violations! Sure.), or make excuses or draw distinctions, but that’s what’s happened. It is a betrayal of his duties as President, and a disgrace.

The only possible caption: This is not America.

https://twitter.com/C0d3Fr0sty/status/247113771233976320

Amen. Free speech doesn’t “trigger” or “incite” violence. Fanatical ideology and the people perpetrating the acts are to blame. The quashing of free speech, however, is deadly and it is not American. The response to hate and violence is not to limit speech; the correct answer is more speech.

Yet, Obama’s government seeks to take away rights from American citizens, in order to appease people who wish to kill us and destroy America. Guess what stomping on the principles upon which this country was founded will do? Heck of a job, Barry.

So much for that pesky, old Constitution.

This is not America. But it will be again, come November.

This video had less than 20 thousand views on youtube September 10th. The President and the State Department are responsible for these murders.

This film is so badly made and acted, you just can’t watch it. It’s inane and stupid, kinda like Islam itself

    • CJDAUB

      Yea verily!!

  • Pablo

As much as I despise this Obamanation, this is ridiculous. Nakoula was not arrested. He was not detained. He’s surrounded by cops and covering his face because he’s scared to death, and not of the cops. He asked for cops at his house. Cops were escorting his lawyers into his house. Why? The media and God only knows what other crazies. He wasn’t being seized, he was being escorted. The cops weren’t violating him, they were protecting him.

The LA Sheriffs in that picture gave him a ride so that he could talk to the Feds and then disappear. The conversation lasted 90 minutes and he was then taken to an undisclosed location. If I were the Feds, I’d have a few questions for him too, mostly trying to find out whether this whole thing was a set up, a false flag.

The truth matters. Let’s use it. Leave the hysterical freakouts to the proggs.

    • grais

I agree with most of what you say. But, false flag or not, why on earth would the feds be involved?

      • Pablo

Because we’ve got 4 murdered State Department people, numerous embassies under siege and a couple that we’ve lost. If the Feds weren’t trying to find out what the hell is going on, I’d be disappointed.

        • grais

They’re chanting, “Obama,Obama, We Are All Osama!” They’ve burned Obama in effigy. Should the Feds be investigating Obama, too?
The most that this crappy-movie maker may have done, as far as breaking any law in any of this, is violate the conditions of his parole.

    • http://www.facebook.com/mickey.byrd.12 Mickey Byrd

That’s a pretty nice spin. Amazing that they had to track cell phone calls to find him just so they could give him a ride somewhere.

      • JoeMyGod

Except that’s not what happened. The police had already been protecting his house for days.

        • James Atkins

Regardless, what did this man do that would warrant this kind of federal harassment? Making a movie?

          • JoeMyGod

Felons convicted of financial crimes are forbidden from using the internet or computers as a condition of their parole. He did that. Back to prison.

          • James Atkins

You are assuming of course that he didn’t have permission from his probation officer. Anyway, regardless, you are of the mindset that making a movie that is offensive to Islam should not be allowed, correct?

          • JoeMyGod

No, not correct. Although the movie was unarguably made by Christian extremists hoping to cause the deaths of Americans (mission accomplished), I don’t think it should be illegal.

          • James Atkins

How can you make that judgement? I agree, it’s stupid to make that movie, but to make the leap that the intent was to kill Americans is a tad prejudice in my opinion. To each his own I suppose. I just tire of the extremist Muslims getting away with murder because they are intolerant. They KILL people that disagree with them on a global scale and we go after the people that wrote the book, made the movie, or made a cartoon. It’s beyond silly.

          • JoeMyGod

From the movie’s spokesman, Steve Klein: “We went into this knowing [the riots] would probably happen.”

          • James Atkins

Rioting is not the same as KILLING. Rioting because of an anti-Islam production isn’t exactly rocket science. It is the default reaction.

          • Hiraghm

knowing the riots would happen is not the same as *wanting* the riots to happen, and especially not the same as *wanting* Americans to be killed. He made a prediction. A perfectly sensible prediction, based on Islam’s history.

Can you prove that..or is that your anti Christian bigotry showing….again.

          • susan kersten

Sounds like ‘Christian bigotry’ to me, but of course, that kind of ‘free speech is ‘allowed’.

You can try to watch it, but it’s just bad in every facet of film making. You quit after a few minutes knowing you are dumber for having wasted those precious few minutes of life. I don’t disagree with the message, a light of truth does need to be placed on Islam. The British Historian came out with a BBC program that does a pretty good job without ridicule and sure made them mad in the Mosques of Britain

          • Hiraghm

prove it. prove that the motive of making the movie was to get Americans killed. At worst, even if that was the motive, what was the method? To use the uncontrollable animal rage of Moslems. You defenders of Obama are using the worst kind of prejudice to excuse the Obama administration and make a scapegoat of this person who has a perfect right to make fun of Islam. You presume that Moslems are somehow different from “normal” people, and can’t be expected to contain their rage, can’t be expected to sue, or write editorials or engage in other civilized forms of disagreement. Well, when a two-year old throws a tantrum to get his way, you don’t give him his way and blame whatever was obstructing him. You spank his ass and teach him to behave.

    • Shawn Smith

You may be entirely right; I don’t know. Here’s the problem: I can no longer place the slightest bit of trust in the major news sources to tell us the truth if it’s something that doesn’t agree with their agenda. Rumors and fear-mongering will inevitably rush into the vacuum of trust they’ve created.

If they were doing their job, whatever the truth is here, I would know it now. As it stands, I have no idea who to trust or where to look. I do know, though, that anything that would make Obama look bad will be silenced.

      • Alex

Oh,I am in china, and we have free speech, man!

        • Shawn Smith

Then what were China and Google arguing over a couple of years ago?

          • Alex

I am kidding ,man. Yes,it is true we do not have free speech, and many website can not log in, including Facebook. But I can understand government doing this.

    • http://twitter.com/Gator_Country Stephen K

We’re defending his right to free speech because once it’s become effectively criminalized in cases such as this, it’s only a matter of time before liberals such as yourself will be turning over the lists of names of people like us you’ve been making to the feds, and demanding that WE be arrested for “hate speech” as well.

    • John Fowler

Using free expression to attack our opinions? Stating that our way of thinking is insane?

The Feds would like to speak with you…

    • carla5731

    • grais

Looks like everyone’s defending his right to speak freely.
      Are you?

      • billeeblue

        Yep…

    • weRbroke

You mistake support for his right to free speech as agreement to his message. I don’t support his youtube insanity anymore than I support the Phelps-hate on gays. Its just words to people who are civilized enough to IGNORE it. Perhaps in liblogic, that rule applies, but not in the real world where free speech is upheld. Where even D-umbasses are allowed to show how utterly insane they are and still not fear the WRATH of their government raining down a shitstorm.
Insanity begins when someone makes a statement ABOUT the government and they INVESTIGATE their body cavities and ever possible shred of “evidence” they can find to justify their attack on a constitutional right. i did so enjoy being investigated, just for working in the same place as someone that was a person of interest for Janet Reno’s reign.
In this instance, the internet penetration into those areas of the world is less then 25%, some countries, less then 5%. Add that to the level of functional ILLITERACY rates in those nations and you have a bunch of uneducated, violent tools looking for something to hammer, and they merely need a fingerpoint to march them on their way to perpetual rage over something they have NEVER seen and only have been told it is insulting. Only those in any role of power have seen this, and they spent the last few months stiring the pot…
Face it, they are sad miserable people, living under Political/Religious oppression, kept poor and under educated, terrorized by their own handlers, and unable to express any freedom of speech, unless it is about the people they hate worst of all, non muslims. If you are not a Muslim, they hate you for existing. It’s what they do and it’s what they teach their children…

    • James Atkins

Yes, the same way we would defend you if you said some stupid shit like “Kill all the christians” and then were investigate by the feds. Get it yet?

    • tinker_thinker

Why are you talking and posting here? Do we have free speech or not?

    • billeeblue

Free speech vicious….That’s what this country is all about. It was a really stupid video that doesn’t deserve a speck of attention. Look at all the “art” that has been publicized about Jesus and Mary. Mary’s image was done in “dung” and hung at an art show. The Last Temptation of Christ” was a movie about Jesus and Mary Magdelan having sex. As a Christian, that was insulting, but the artists were expressing themselves freely as much as I hated what they did. This fellow is being exposed and then he’ll be released so someone can find him and you know what will happen.

    • http://twitter.com/AUBraves AUBraves

We are defending his right of free speech to make a movie we abhor.
We are defending Hillarys right to make an apology we abhor.

We are crazier by the second as you say…. but this craziness is preserving our and your rights.

    • AFrances Shook

I emphatically agree!!! Why isn’t the media asking why is Obama appologizing? Is it because he was the one who gave the order to kill Osama? Isn’t this why the people were shouting we are Osama when they climbed that wall?

      • Jerry Names

Are we sure about that? Maybe they were shouting “we are Obama.”

    • https://twitter.com/AlessaRosewater Maria

Absolutely. He’s enciting the terrorists in the Middle East. They are shouting “Obama, Obama. We are all Osama” as AFrances pointed out. Doesn’t sound like anything about a YouTube video to me! However, now that they know the video exists, they will use that as fuel for the fire too.

I think maybe the Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi in Egypt calling for the filmmaker’s arrest was a test to see how loyal and/or obedient Barry is to them. Makes you wonder, eh?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ray-Harbin/100001926306119 Ray Harbin

Di Ann, what Barack Obama says are simply the lies of an imbecile– they provide zero information in any field of human endeavor, present, passed or future. Truth about Barack, is to him, a deadly poison.

What Obama does is** totally** revealing– and, for 4 years, now, his deeds have convinced all knowledgeable Americans that Obama is a politically incompetent anti-American Marxist, still caught up in his Muslim youth mythology, when he was first taught to despise everything loved and cherished by Americans.

He **does** precisely that which logic and average human intellect predicts that he will. The damage he has done to this nation, and will continue to do until “we let him go” — cannot be charged to massive human error– or just a dummy at the helm–it is the product of a plan–a plan of an enemy of this Republic.

I hate that Biden has used this idiotic slogan.

The fact that they are blaming this video on the ME turmoil is laughable as it is..but to then have a FED invt. of this person because he “may” of committed a crime, while the MSM gives the world this guys address is nothing short of blatantly ripping up our constitution in front of the world. The sad part is,so many people just shrug this off.
I wonder if the MB saw a PSA from a pro choice group and called to have it removed or threatened more violence, would the outcry from the left be heard? How about them asking all blogs or internet videos from the LGBT movement…because they have their religious feelings hurt.I am so disgusted that we have so many ignorant people who gladly march along with whatever they are told to do..even if it goes in direct opposition to our constitution.Worse yet..if this was a Republican admin…these same people who are silent now, would be calling for the head of the president.

    • Grumpa Grumpus

      @J.Cox:
“would be calling for his head”

Don’t you remember the assassination fantasy videos, the t-shirts, the ejaculations of “perp-walking from the WH”, etc?

No. To borrow a phrase from Holocaust survivors: never again!

Never again the benefit of the doubt!
Never again leniency when these people suggest impinging on civil rights!
Never again allowing the creation of phony rights from whole cloth!
Never again falling for the lie that they mean well!

They don’t “mean well”! They are Evil and only care about civil rights when the gain is for them! When they’re in a position to ignore YOURS they do so: gleefully!

These people really ARE the same as every despotic weeny that’s preceded them… and deserve the same treatment they desire to mete out to others.

  • Hiraghm

Why is anyone surprised? We’ve let invaders from despotic authoritarian-oriented states invade the U.S., we’ve failed for 3 generations to teach the basic understanding of the way of the American republic, failed to teach the impact of individual liberty and its importance to the way of the American republic, and then we’re shocked, shocked mind you when A) the gov’t begins acting as a police state and B) millions of citizens support the gov’t’s actions?

  • http://twitter.com/twolaneflash twolaneflash

They aren’t criminalizing him, they are criminalizing the fact that he dared to insult Islam. Just wait till the movie about killing Bin Laden comes out. See how you justify that to the Islamic world when the Administration absolutely did have something to do with the making of that film. I predict the administration will claim the movie had NOTHING to do with the unrest at that point.

While on probation, Nakoula can’t access computers or any device that can access the Internet without approval from his probation officer.” —
    http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/15/world/anti-islam-filmmaker/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

So according to CC if this guy used a computer or any device that can access the internet while recording and pushing the video to the internet, then he was knowingly in violation of his parole and could face the consequences of that.

I like many Americans am appalled at the behavior of our current President in not strongly condemning these acts of violence. These people are murders and there is NO and will NEVER BE ANY FUCKING JUSTIFICATION FOR KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THE SAME WAY YOU DO.

DAMN YOU, Mr. President, these are human beings that are being slaughtered and murdered for no other reason than some jackass thinks he’s going to get laid in the afterlife. Aside from them being Americans, these people NEVER DID ANYTHING TO DESERVE BEING PUT TO DEATH . Yet, YOU want to blame a video? Really?!?

  • Allan Howell

As is always the case with the federal government, they screw it up. I guess now we need to know the conditions of parole for the film maker, in order to see if in fact he violated the terms of his parole. This in no way justifies the inexcusable actions of the government. Congressional hearing should be forthcoming to tar and feather the scapegoat.

  • BillMcGonical

I have no problem with the Feds arresting this guy. We need to get to the bottom of this movie and who put it out. I think this movie was created to do exactly what has happened. I don’t think this movie is about “free speech.” It wouldn’t surprise me if this movie, or trailer, was produced by our enemies–anonymous, or with a false identification–to spark hatred.

    • yestradamous

If they wanted to “spark hatred” all the Islamists would have to do is point their peeps in the directions of any blog out there that points out the barbarism of the Koran on a daily basis. Or let them search the archives of LGF from 2002 to 2008 for a whole heapin helpin of Mo dissing.

The Islamists act like this movie is some unique exception to the west piously respecting Islam like good little dhimmies. If they were aware of all the dissing going on constantly since 911, their barbaric little heads would explode.

    • Shawn Smith

This movie wasn’t “about” free speech. It *is* free speech. And regardless of whom it offends, the U.S. government stepping in to silence it is a betrayal of one of the most fundamental principles this country is based on.

To be as respectful as possible, if you are okay with that, you and I have a radically different idea of what America is and should be. If that is the case, I pray to God that I never live in your America.

    • http://www.facebook.com/john.hanover.35 John Hanover

Conspiracy theory so noted…so debunked by the fact that IslamoFascists leading the brainwashed to kill westerners ( besides us Americans ) would take just crossed eyes once to incite violence, murder, and mayhem. I like the idea mind you, but there are a lot of independent thinkers out there that cross that micro razor thin line of offense towards Muslim and some don’t know it yet.

    • https://twitter.com/AlessaRosewater Maria

They were shouting “Obama, Obama. We are all Osama.” Could that not be a connection to how gloaty the Obama Administration is about killing Osama? Makes sense to a person who has all the facts.

But of course those who only get the facts presented by the MSM will continue to blame a YouTube video and a person’s free speech. Sad.

  • Bill Sullivan

Seems like I remember hearing a prediction that a time was coming when government would control who, concerning buying and selling of stuff, could participate in the marketplace. Only those that agrees with it’s p0olicies would be allowed. Oh yea! That was in the Book of Revelations; the mark of the beast world wide system.

In 57 countries it is against the law to speak against ISLAM and they are trying through the UN to make it a rule all nations agree to. Some how it is not so funny now.

  • Dave Turson

The idiot “filmmaker” was brought in for questioning and was not arrested. He was convicted of bank fraud and as part of his release deal he was not to touch computers or be on the internet for 5 years. Can someone who is not to touch computers, etc., pay someone else to touch computers in a business deal without first contacting his probation officer?

You cite the New York Post as a source? They’re very biased, considering the fact they said the film sparked a movement overseas when anyone with a brain knows that is not the case.

Honestly, the Left has been tacitly enforcing the “no free speech” rule (or as they call it: “responsible speech”) with speech they don’t like for a while now — that is why every criticism of Obama is shouted down with YOU’RE A RACIST!

    • Shannon Piper

So true. They invented the term “hate speech” for just this purpose.

  • LeftistsStink

Some Hollywood Leftists believe that Republican operatives are behind this video and that this whole thing was caused by said operatives because Obama is (supposedly) higher in the polls. Maybe the reason the feds are investigating is to try to find a connection between the filmmaker and the Republican party.

If Obamanation and company get their way with a second term, they will attempt to push forward with negotiations on UN ATT “united nations arms trade treaty” with the ultimate desire of creating a back door to gun control. The left wing liars would have you believe such a treaty does not effect the civilian gun owner in the U.S., but as can be seen by canadas recent capitulation, trusting your government to defend your individual rights can lead to their loss.

  • Guest

Absolutely nuts! Obama’s disregard for defending our Embassies shows his neglect as a leader to protect his people and his country. We should not be arresting a filmmaker who killed four people, but should be taking arms and fortifying our position on behalf of our embassies. The message should be, “You can’t bully us around!” but, instead, Obama cowers down and obeys the demands of terrorist to go after a filmmaker. What is this? Get a backbone! Which Brotherhood does He really belong too? Enough already, fellow Americans, let your voices be heard!!! Stop the insanity!

  • Joe Eschman

I’m sorry … I’m a veteran and I served for 10 years to defend the Constitution. But I disagree with all of the defenders of this film maker. Free speech is not all inclusive. You can’t yell “FIRE!!” in a crowded theater and call it ‘free speech’. The film is not the reason for the attacks on our embassies but it gives the attackers an excuse to attack. The film maker obviously had an agenda. It was stupid and irresponsible to make this film, no matter how bad it is. The blood that has been spilled and the blood yet to come is partially on his hands.

    • Hiraghm

      YES YOU CAN.
Holmes invented that exception. Why? Because a man was protesting the draft during WWI, when Wilson was trying to get us into a war that was none of our concern. The assertion was that his efforts would undermine military recruitment efforts. It is essentially the same wrong-headed end-run around the 1st Amendment.
The exception doesn’t exist except in the mind of Holmes (hopefully smoking a turd in purgatory right now). Any judge who rules based on Holmes false judgment is violating the Constitution and his oath of office.
It is only “stupid and irresponsible” if you agree that moslems are wild, uncontrollable animals. Otherwise they require the same self-restraint as say… Catholics.

Try again: This film had ZERO to do with the embassy attacks.

Please try and keep up…this man has no blood on his hands.

      • Joe Eschman

The film might not be the reason for the attacks but it is being used as an excuse for them. If it were only released in the US, I would have no problems with it. But when it puts OUR troops and citizens in danger overseas, I have a huge f*cking problem with it. Just like the irresponsible release of the pictures taken at Abu Ghraib by the American media just because they thought it was newsworthy. That just served to inflame the enemy. They already hated us … the pictures didn’t make them hate us. But it gave them an excuse to use. I can remember a lot of people agreeing with me that those pictures shouldn’t have been released. They were all okay with denying “freedom of the press” then. What is the difference now? Obama didn’t want to release pictures of a dead Bin Laden because he didn’t want to “spike the football” (like he has been doing ever since.) But I’m sure he had no problem with the Abu Ghraib photos being released. Bottom line … if it endangers American lives anywhere in the world, it is not worth it. I’m not even saying the film maker shouldn’t have been allowed to release the film. I’m saying it was a dumbass thing to do. He had his agenda and everyone else be damned. He didn’t think of the consequences. Or he didn’t care.

        • redheadgrl

But Joe, isn’t the problem more that such a film is able to be used to incite these extremists? And that they are so quick to kill those who do not agree with them or praise Allah? I understand that very few in the Arab world have any concept of free speech as Americans know it, but they need to learn that Sharia law ends at their borders.

          • Joe Eschman

That’s exactly my point. The film maker knew what the reaction would be. He knew that we are not dealing with rational people here. They are called extremists for a reason. Look what happened to Salman Rushdie just for writing a novel. The publication of the book and the fatwā sparked violence around the world, with bookstores firebombed. Muslim communities in several nations in the West held public rallies, burning copies of the book. Several people associated with translating or publishing the book were attacked, seriously injured, and even killed. Many more people died in riots in some countries.

          • redheadgrl

Why can’t followers of Allah have some restraint in their anger instead of killing innocent people? THAT is the bigger issue. The extremists will use ANYTHING to KILL. Movie, cartoon, me walking around without a headscarf.

          • Joe Eschman

If that’s true, then your service is greatly appreciated and respected. This is NOT, however, ‘yelling fire in a crowded theater’ and those of you who continue to make this erroneous comparison are, not only factually incorrect, but also missing the main point. The rabid tendencies of extremist organizations and their volatile nature DOES NOT in any way constitute a crowded physical enclosure, no matter how you wish to rationalize it.
No one yelled ‘FIRE’ either, that is to say there was no specific intention to great a chaotic and uncontrolled situation here. This was a debatable valid criticism of the founder of a religion and a sort of free expression that the founders designed the Constitution to protect for this country. The American Constitution was certainly never designed to in any way appease the wishes of fascists or tyrants. It was designed to do the exact opposite and give the citizen a right to voice their opinion in a free market place of ideas.
The whole point of the Constitution and its amendments was/is to give the citizen an inalienable legal and moral foundation for their rights including the guarantee that a citizen has the freedom within the law to defend or criticize any and all of this country’s institutions as they see fit without fear of physical or legal reprisal from anyone.
The obama admin. has violated that right numerous times and yet again with this latest legal reprisal against this citizen’s right to free speech. The blood that has been spilled is actually & directly on the hands of the physical perpetrators of these murders and, ethically, it can be argued that is is also on the hands of terror supporting foreign governments who helped create these riots and the obama administration’s foreign policy decisions which also assisted in this to a significant degree.

    • Valjean

So…….You’re suggesting that if film makers produce a film that is controversial that they should be suppressed, or worse hauled in for questioning? any American who values free speech and liberty should be feeling an ice cold chill up their spines. Besides, if the film is not the reason for the attacks WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING THE DETAINMENT OF THE FILM MAKER BY AUTHORITIES?

      • Joe Eschman

I’m not defending the detainment of the film maker (and he was not detained. He was questioned.) I just think it was irresponsible of him to do. As I said, he had an agenda. And the security of Americans overseas be damned as far as he is concerned. He KNEW the film would get this result. And I know the film is not the REASON for the attack. But even you will have to admit that it’s being used as an EXCUSE.

Israel doesn’t need our “support.” All we would have to do is issue an ultimatum of some kind to the surrounding countries that points out to them that WE are the one’s that keep Israel at bay. I agree that Obama is arresting this guy to cover up his ineptitude. Anybody who believes that this what not planned to coincide with 9/11 is smoking some strong stuff while they are drinking the Kool-Aid. The timing of the release of the video in Arabic a few days before was just to give cover to a planned assassination. Remember, the video has been out there since July. Chris Stevens was respected and liked in Libya, it is likely that he would have made progress bringing our two countries closer together.
Anti-Americans there would have feared that outcome.
That being said, the first Amendment does not give us the right to shout “Fire” in a crowded theater. I haven’t seen the video so I do not have an opinion as to whether it rises to that level. Similar cases claiming incitement to violence have been brought against the KKK. Some have been upheld, others struck down. I have no problem with the case going before a court. Let our system play out.

The title is THIS IS NOT AMERICA. the problem is that this is America, we are being fooled into thinking that all this is just a hoax and if you say things that are disagreed upon by the State, you will not be arrested or interrogated. The problem is, yes it is coming. The Police State is at out door, and we are being dubbed into thinking that this is lies. The truth hurts sometimes. Lies now are being held in high appeal and truth is being surpressed. If you tell people what is true about their religion, or a person held in high positions, you will be put onto a “watch” or arrested. If you say that something is really great, when that is a lie, you will be rewarded.

Not only is this a chilling violation of free speech, it’s worse than that: The arrest of an American citizen for voicing an opinion. This is the problem that citizens and patriots will be facing in the near future, or are facing right now. In addition to a hostile and socialist administration, we have law enforcement, and this is in Calif., that will do whatever they are told, right or wrong, and without any regards as to whether it is right, wrong constitutional or not, they act like robots! They should have refused to take any action against the film maker, but they did not, and the ranks of law enforcement, and not just in Calif., are filled with mindless zombies that will do as they are told! We are in trouble, and for those that think or thought “They would never act illegally against American citizens!” think again! And hope the military does not act as mindlessly as these cops that I used to call my brothers!

Free speech, from someone with the sole intent of causing or adding to existing volatile issues in countries where the belief system is different from ours, should NOT be allowed. Persons who directly or indirectly cause the death of innocent people, as a result of their irresponsibility, should face a penalty. The makers and distributors of the movie knew full well what they were doing. Their only intent was to add fuel to a fire.
