Senator McCain was speaking at a Mitt Romney event in San Diego today, when he was interrupted by a protester.

The crowd backs McCain and hushes the protester.

Some on the scene photos and tweets.

Nice job, San Diego! Way to take care of business.

    McCain was being polite.
There are many other 4 letter words that would describe that “Jerk”.
But WE as a whole, have more class than THEM..

Jerk, eh? That’s harsher than anything McShame called Obama in 2008.

Exactly. Once again the selective and useless umbrage of the “maverick.” Loser.

I’m relieved that the good Senator showed discretion with his name calling. That said, the protester IS a jerk!

Tomorrow’s NYT headline: “Romney stood by in silence while minority vet is called a “jerk” and the crowd laughed.” (I am sure the man touched or read a ethnic cookbook sometime in his life.

McCain has been dogged by extremists for years who insist he knew about POW’s still being held in Vietnam and he lied about it.

We had one on the Ann Coulter board when he was running against Obama in 2008. This guy insisted McCain knew there were still US POW’s being tortured and held by the communists and decided for political reasons to abandon them.

You simply could not reason with this guy. Because this guy in the audience was wearing a POW/MIA shirt, it leads me to suspect he’s part of this group.

John McCain threw the election in 2008. He came across in the debates as a frail old man and used every opportunity to praise Obama. He then interfered with everything Sarah Palin did to try to promote their candidacy. When are people going to realize he is a RINO. I suggest that everyone who never heard of the “Keating Five” look it up. McCain was once an honorable man. He left his honor at the door in D.C.
