Normally when we encounter Michael Moore, he’s making a movie few of us actually want to see, hating on Republicans, or frightening entire herds of cattle with his very approach. However, tonight on Twitter, Moore had a series of tweets that were worth some attention. For the past few weeks, he has gone on a walk, not to anywhere in particular but just an evening walk outside to enjoy some fresh air, and he’s invited his Twitter followers to join him. Here is how he explained the genesis of the idea.
We can admit it. That sounds like a pretty good idea. Okay, you don’t have to walk with Moore but wouldn’t it do us all some good to step away from whatever we’re watching on the television and spent an hour out of doors, just strolling?
Oh, we know. We’re a web site! We want you to refresh us like a meth-addled rat whacking on the big red reward button which you can’t do if you’re out walking and not sitting at your computer. Well, don’t worry. It’s okay. We have that covered. You can still go on that walk and take Twitchy with you, thanks to our Android and iPhone apps. So go get your walk-on, rest and refresh for the work week that begins tomorrow morning, and take Twitchy with you!
And (gulp) thank you, Michael Moore, for the great idea.
