CNN anchor and correspondent Jim Clancy attracted a lot of attention tonight when he started making completely bogus claims like this one.

Instead of just accepting that he was wrong, Clancy started making accusations that give us a pretty good window into his real feelings about Israel. It turned into a real train wreck.

That would explain a great deal.

Another day for CNN.They really go all out to hire morons.

But that was almost MSNBC-esque. You dont see that much stupid anywhere but VOX.

  • SpaceRacer423

    so for the record,
CNN’s policy is to NOT publish any cartoons/images that may offend muslims,
but anchors openly tweeting AntiSemitism is a-ok?

      • SpaceRacer423

Hasbara: Public diplomacy in Israel (Hebrew: הַסְבָּרָה‎ hasbará, “explaining”) refers to public relations efforts to disseminate abroad positive information about Israel.[1][2]The term is used by the Israeli government and its supporters to describe efforts to explain government policies and promote Israel in the face of negative press, and to counter what they see as delegitimisation of Israel around the world. Hasbara means “explanation”, and is also a euphemism for propaganda.[3][4][5][6]

Is it a stretch to say that Jim Clancy shares the same ideals as the rest of CNN? This is why their legitimacy as a news network doesn’t exist. They are all anti-Semites. I couldn’t care less about CNN, but someone please prove me wrong.

What is an “anti-Semite”? Is that a person who objects to Israel’s foreign policy or its handling of the Palestinian Territories?

  • Aitch748 the Deplorable

Wow, so this is an extraordinarily unprofessional response by a CNN anchor when faced with a factual correction

Between this and the “Kamikame Crusade” remark from Tim Russert’s boy, I’d say that “extraordinarily unprofessional responses” are par for the course for cable-television “journalists” these days.

  • RSnyder

The religion of sand and fury tries and tries but libs refuse to get it. I suggest Clancy seek out some Koran toting immigrants and have a conversation with them. Open a dialog with them before they open his throat.

The notion that every Muslim is a terrorist opponent of truth, justice and the American way needs to be tested. Methinks.

The sad awful truth about MSM journO!lists and progressives is that they fear an anti-Muslim backlash by their fellow American citizens (and citizens of other Western nations) more than they fear the threat of Islamic terrorism. This dreaded backlash never materializes, yet Islamic extremist terrorist events keep coming – and still they keep over-emphasizing and dreading the mythical backlash.

Oh, and replace ‘Methinks’ with ‘Medrinks’ and his tweets begin to make more sense……

    • JSebastian

So you do or do not subscribe to the notion that every Muslim is a terrorist, et al? Or you do not agree that notion should be tested?

      • Harold Patterson

I do not believe all Moslems are all terrorists. The “moderate” Moslems just want the terrorist to kill all the infidels.

  • Rick Owen

here’s a distinction: consistency with Christian scriptures requires grace and liberty, but consistency with Islamic scriptures requires condemnation and tyranny. For instance, I can agree with a radical Muslim that homosexuality and drunkenness are grievous sins, but we part ways as to our demeanor and actions towards homosexuals alcoholics.

  • Dio Heerai

Liberal Journalists are PANICKING and it’s making then so irrational the cannot logically reason anymore so they are ranting incoherently like MAD PEOPLE
The MSM know this was a DIRECT attack on freedom of speech and that makes ALL defence of Islam impossible as freedom of speech IS journalism so all they have left is STRAW MAN arguments and lunacy…Their Saul Alinsky tactics NEVER envisioned this

    • JSebastian

But was it really an attack on freedom of speech? That seems myopic to me. The attack was not on other media that also exercise freedom of speech, only the Charlie Hebdo organization. So rather than an attack on freedom of speech, I’d say its an attack on religious grounds over perceived wrongs/insults. It is literally a case of mass murder over things that were published, but it is not an attack on freedom of speech itself because it is driven by only one type of content. That is like saying that any murder of a female is an attack on women.

      • Dio Heerai

It all STARTS and ENDS with the ability to speak freely without fear of reprisals …Which is freedom of speech
“I may not like your point of view I may downright hate it, but I am willing to die for your right to have it”….THOMAS JEFFERSON

These people were killed because MUSLIMS did not like their speech!!!!
Anybody who cannot see that is an apologist , an idiot or both

  • Pathfinder306

Another ratings disaster for cnn. Can’t report what is going on as it can’t be made to fit the progressive liberal storyline. The religion of peace strikes again and the only course of action is to blame those hideous islamaphobs that simply refuse to understand that sharia is the only way to salvation and redemption. I wonder if cnn, msnbc and the lsm will get a grip before they go out of business.

It really must take a special kind of person to be able to spout the liberal gibberish with a straight face and still be able to look in a mirror without puking.

  • anjullyn

That this guy is called a journalist shows the re-definition of words. These tweets are jaw dropping for their blatant hostility to Israel and Jews, and his inexplicable Muslim defense in this case. He needs to have his hatred (as that’s what comes across through his tweets), on the front page of internet and hard copy news sites. Forewarned is forearmed.

  • Aimee

    This is what CNN hires?
(I seem to ask this question at least weekly.)

  • Rick Owen

The entire reason why Israel has done the things they’ve done is because they’ve been dealing with the same kind of radical Muslims since 1948, and even before, when the settlers were dealing with those inspired by Hajamin Al-Husseini

    • shyisc

The term settler is misleading. Returnees is more accurate.

It’s Haj Amin Al-Huueini. Haj is a title given to someone who made th pilgrimage to Mecca.

  • shyisc

“Anti-Zionist” and “anti-Israel” are terms people use when they are too shy to openly state the the truth and use the correct term: antisemite.

    • JSebastian

That seems like nonsense. What is an “anti-semite”? Please tell me you don’t actually claim its simply anyone who opposes the foreign policy actions of Israel or its handling of the Palestinian Territories.

      • shyisc

        Please don’t be obtuse.

Antisemitism is opposition to Jewishness. It isn’t a bias or bigotry, but an ideological opposition to what Jews believe in and what they represent. It disguises itself with various excuses that are all demonstrably false, and those excuses change based on the situation and often contradict each other.

The hatred towards the state of Israel is antisemitism. If you cannot detect the difference between legitimate criticism and hate-motivated attacks then there is something wrong with you. People who give legitimate criticism are not antisemites, anti-Israel, or anti-Zionist.

Antisemites typically are incapable of admitting that their misfortune is their own doing, so they blame the Jews of causing that misfortune through sabotage. They want to delegitimize the Jews and their beliefs, so they take all their own faults and pin them on the Jews, and do everything they can to portray the Jews as evil hypocrites. Finally, they want to harm the Jews, and will use any means to do so.

  • http://truthbeforedishonor.wordpress.com John Hitchcock

Curse the Jews and you will be cursed. Clancy’s curse: the complete and total loss of his mind. Kinda like that Jew-hating king that started eating grass.

  • Dude!

Well he said it, “This is my Friday night”. He was drunk and probably doesn’t even remember the exchange.

  • tr99tr

  • EndangeredNJRepub

How exactly CNN rationalized hiring so many anti-Israel folks and still figured they could keep any pretense of objectivity on the issue is beyond me. I remember the CNN correspondent who was in Israel over the summer, Nic something, and this guy was basically a Hamas regurgitant. And yet, somehow, liberals were tripping over themselves to claim CNN had a bias FOR Israel?

I guess anything short of a brown shirt doesn’t count as “journalism.”

  • Alan

Islam – the only religion with a death penalty for leaving. “Leave Islam” is common sense. Freedom of religion and freedom to criticize Religion is not respected by any of the MSM. the term “Islamophobia” creates “protected political classes” with global “first class privileges” to escape ALL legitimate censure while their pillory of all other classes and groups of people world-wide is daily and “bullyingly” perpetuated by the leftist media and ruling classes (Hussein Obama, Huma Abedin et al) of the post-Christian West. Who are the Shareholders of CNN? Are there Islamic nations’ petro-dollars involved?
