Really? This is the spin the left is going to put on the VA-7 primary? House majority leader Eric Cantor lost his primary because Republicans don’t like Jews?

As expected, circus clown and pseudo-candidate Mike Dickinson was all over the notion. Probably kicking himself for not thinking of it first.

But the idea was echoed by a lot of other people who may not be complete buffoons.

Some sane voices stepped in.

Probably a lot of truth to that prediction. Sad.

At one time, the Left used to cry “anti-Semitism!” much as they cry “racism!” today, because, to be frank, many Commies in America WERE Jewish. It was supposed to end discussions over Communism as a philosophy and discussions about the USSR and the loyalty of American Commies, by making anyone who discussed such subjects out to be a religious bigot. In fact, this persisted into the 1950’s when the Rosenbergs were executed as spies– they were being singled out for the death penalty because, well– y’know…The Feds got a Jewish judge and a Jewish US Attorney to handle the case just to avoid this, but to no avail, apparently.

Since they deliberately gave Stalin the bomb, years ahead of the Soviet development on their own.. they deserved to be shot… the most murderous ideology on Earth, killing even more than the Nazi’s… they gave the bomb…

because they didn’t want the free world to have an advantage,.. insanity on a stick…

Though to your bigger question,… WHY have so many Jews adopted statist politics, from mild socialism to raging communist, why?

there are Jewish conservatives whom we cherish, but why so many?.. given they have suffered as a people so savagely from the imperial state?.. from monarchies, to communist to Nazi’s they were humiliated, persecuted and nearly exterminated..

you’d think the sovereignty of the individual would appeal greatly to those who have so suffered from the hands of killer states.

        • Parsley

          Good question.

Leftist Jews hate Christians. They hate Jews, too.

          • RSnyder

That would be true. And the leftist Jews still reign in what is left of Hollywood. Mel Gibson had his fill of them -memorably, a while back.

          • LeftistsStink

            Gibson was undoubtedly frustrated.

        • Guy Ratner

Actually, that suffering under imperial regimes-Tsarist Russia being a prime example-is ironically the very reason so many Jews adopted Socialism/Communism at the time: compared to the institutionalized racism and discrimination of the Russian empire, socialism and communism *appeared* to give Jews a semblance of social integration and equality. It *sounded* like a good idea. And at least in its earlier stages, Jews actually did see an improvement in their lot, at least in Russia right after the 1917 revolution. Of course, the suffering and atrocities caused by these ideologies are a lot clearer to us, in hindsight. At the time, Jews felt it was the end of their isolation and oppression. On a similar note, millions of Jews came to America and viewed it as the “Golden Country”, because unlike the situation in Europe, Jews were actually welcomed into the US and given the opportunity to advance, granted they worked hard enough. And frankly, most American Jews did become firm believers in the American values of individualism, capitalism and private enterprise-ironically enough, those were the core principles of the Jewish entrepreneurs who built Hollywood..

          • scottthestrategerist

There’s some truth to that, but as soon as the Jewish Communists (80% of the Commissars were Jewish, Trotsky used to play chess with Rothschild, etc.) conquered Russia, the first law they passed was to make “antiSemitism” a crime punishable by death. Then they engaged in mass murder by the MILLIONS. The Jews who came here have championed immigration for nonwhites, abortion (killing whites before we’re ever born and not because they love white women), gun control (so we can’t fight back, and not because Senator Charles Jewmer loves you!) and homosexuality (to spread disease and prevent whites from ever being created). The record speaks for itself? Don’t believe me? I wouldn’t have believed me either. Here are two great books to start on, if you have the guts to see through the fog of lies the Jews have created all around you: Jewish Supremacism and The Secret Behind Communism. There are many more, but these are the two best I’ve read to get you started. They will turn the most ardent philoSemite (me!) into a proponent of the truth.

          • Guy Ratner

It’s closet bigots and ignorant conspiracy mongers like you that give other conservatives and Tea Party supporters (myself included) a bad name and make the democrats’ job a lot easier. Enjoy your hallucinations about a so-called “Jewish anti-white conspiracy”, but kindly keep that drivel to yourself next time. And please don’t presume to define yourself a philosemite (“Charles JEWMER”? REALLY??). That’s an insult to the memory of those brave men and women throughout history that actually were on my people’s side unconditionally, few as they were. I truly hope others here will see you for what you are.

        • scottthestrategerist

I used to struggle with that question myself. It took years, but ultimately I was defeated by the facts and had to accede to them. What do Communism, civil rights, homosexual privileges, feminism (including abortion) and immigration rights for nonwhites all have in common? THEY’RE ALL JEWISH! The Jewish mentality is that, being the perennial minority, they don’t feel comfortable unless they disenfranchise, dispossess and replace whites. When they get power, they murder by the millions. Look at the Jewish Soviet Union, which murdered 110 MILLION white Russians! No, not every single Jew feels that way, just like not every black supports Trayvon Martin, but it’s how they, as a community, feel and it’s what they do. But don’t take my word for it. I recommend the books of Dr. Kevin MacDonald, who is an evolutionary psychologist at Cal State Long Beach. He has written three books explaining how this is the Jewish evolutionary strategy, to wit, to weaken the majority in the nation, and especially white nations. A few years ago, I’d have screamed, “Hater!,” and shut this information out. But it’s getting too serious. We are in SERIOUS danger of losing the united states FOREVER unless we turn it around NOW! I beseech everyone who reads this and cares about the kind of nation his children and grandchildren will have to read his books. (Full disclosure: I have no affiliation with him.) You can find them on amazon or at his website I also recommend the following books by Duke (a mild mannered southern gentleman, once you get to know him): Jewish Supremacism and The Secret Behind Communism. We must identify those who want to destroy us in order to get our country back!

    • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Well– if you really want to get down to it, the name “Cantor” IS a bit of a clue. A bit like someone named “Rabin” (French/German for “rabbi”). Or Levy/Levine/Levinson (“Levite”) or Cohen/Cohn (“high priest”)

      • Spinmamma

So what is “cantor” a derivative of? The obvious answer is the singer of the liturgy, but Jews are not the only religion that have cantors, My brief research indicates this is word is originally derived from Latin via the French word “chantre” to sing. I had no idea this was considered a Jewish name.

        • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Actually, it’s probably from “Kantor,” the German version of the name– the Yiddish/Hebrew word is “chazzan,” pronounced with the hock-a-loogie “ch” sound in the original, but which has been Anglicized as “Chasen,” as in “chase.”

      • Eric D. Mertz #NeverTrump

But the Cantor in the Catholic Church is the clergyman whose job it is to lead the choir in the performance of sacred music during the Mass. I always thought his name was one of those occupational surnames you see from time to time and was the descendant of a priest’s recognized bastard or the descendant of a man who worked for the Cantor in whichever parish his family came from. I even reflexively included him as a Catholic GOP once.

Edit: Deleted the offending word. My Bad.

@Redistrict as a jew who leans right I would not have voted for Cantor because of amnesty. Stop spreading false narratives—
    aj rabin (@avrohama) June 11, 2014

    Thanks for posting my tweet!

  • cabman86

He lost because of his Obama loving.

  • IndigoRed

Funny that his religion wasn’t important in his previous 7 Congressional campaigns. The charge is just so … oh, what’s the word I’m looking for?…. Liberal.

  • Scott Mohr

Inbred yaking might come as a surprise to Jason Chaffetz as his Dad was Jewish and his mother a Christian Scientist. Study up people before believing the Propaganda spewed by the “media.”

  • Tom Winegar

Wouldn’t ya just like to smack Dickheadson in the mouth, what a piece of chit.

  • mrspinky85

The left’s outcry about Cantor shows why he had to go.

  • Kristine ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Not even remotely surprised they’re actually zeroing in on that.

  • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Seems to me that we weren’t the ones one upping each other in the “we had it so bad” contest and complaining that Holocaust survivors had it easy because their skin was white (well mostly). I won’t mention any names, I’ll just look at the party and whistle…

  • JR48

I really think that the folks who are floating this meme should be ashamed of themselves.

Then again, I actually grok the concept of shame, and they do not.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

The Left really shouldn’t be talking about anti-Semitism considering how many times Obama has denigrated the Jewish state.

Or are they gonna try to blame that on Chuck Hagel, too? 😉

  • praymorenow1

see dnc response to the joe lieberman independent run for senate……….. the rnc should remind the world what was done to joe Lieberman…….it was ugly.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

I’ve known that Cantor was Jewish for almost six years now. I learned it when I read this Hot Air article:

You have three guesses to tell who was being anti-Semitic towards Cantor. The first two guesses don’t count.

  • petroniabern

Um… Mark Levin? Need I mention anyone else?

  • Rochelle Odom

What idiots! The issue was amnesty–not religion!

  • Michael Smith

All I have to say is remember back to the Democratic convention when they had the big ruckus on the delegates vote to recognize God and Isreal and they were all screaming” NO”! Ya’ll remember that? I do.

  • Acethepug

Behold the rank hypocrisy, racism, and other-ism of the Left.

So, because Cantor was Jewish, his seat should be sacred?

Well, that seems to be the feeling behind Obama. Sure, he’s corrupt, lazy, shiftless, a serial liar, and an America-Hater, but he’s the Historic First Black President! So you have to let him stay!

So, like disagreeing with Obama makes you racist, apparently voting against Cantor makes you an anti-Semite.

Projection. The Left is every bit the monster they claim the Right to be in their fever-dreams.

It’s the Left who brought up religion, much as they bring up race and creed. It’s the Left who are the racists, the hypocrites, and the monsters.

    Never forget that.

    • Noonespecial

Don’t hate me for saying this, but Obama is their Boy. He is their symbolic lamb attesting to the fact that they are NOT racists….really, they aren’t. Look, they elected a sort of black guy! How could they possibly be racist?

  • Gallatin

If cantor had won the tweets would have been, “Republicans reelect their token Jew.” So who gives a sh!t what these people think?

  • Charles Hargrave

I live in Richmond and Eric Cantor being a Jew had nothing to do with anything, but his smart assed attitude toward everyone did,the voters were tired of being talked down to and treated like the family dog and they did something about it and voted Cantor out,no one hates him because he’s a Jew,but because he is too arrogant in a job where he is supposed to help people,we’ve had enough of that from Obama .

  • bo1921

This coming from an ideology that hates humanity

  • Perso Nasplit

lets see…..republicans support defending isreal….democrats support al Qaeda. hmmm….which one is against people of the Jewish religion?

    • “Rev Jim Jones”

Since liberals don’t align themselves with moral, patriotic or ethical causes they reserve the right to flip issue at their discretion.

      • Noonespecial

As long as it doesn’t interrupt their Starbucks supply or inconvenience them personally in some way.

        • “Rev Jim Jones”

I believe you’ve uncovered the liberal core value; convenience. They deny or reject anything that could be inconvenient whether economic, cultural, moral or ethical.

Like Gore claims “inconvenient truth”. No wonder liberals don’t question the accuracy of human influence on climate change; it’s “inconvenient” and that’s enough!

  • alanstorm

It’s official: To a leftie, no one looks at a politician’s policies. Any objection to them must be personal and superficial, e.g due to their race (ala Obama) or religion (ala Cantor) or some other feature.

This says nothing about the subjects of their criticism, but volumes about how THEY see politics.

  • “Rev Jim Jones”

They’re completely wrong but it is wonderful to see liberal re engaged with the plight of the Jews. Had thought it was all but lost when liberals so openly promoted the belief that the Holocaust may not have existed and Israel’s claim to statehood is criminal.

  • LimpingHenry

I didn’t know Mr. Cantor was Jewish, but now that I know, I still don’t care.

    • Noonespecial

That’s pretty much the Conservative way. If we were as consumed with race as the Left….well, we’d be racists.

  • flyingfox88

Cantor has been in the House since 2000. Wasn’t he Jewish for the last 14 years? These people are desperate. That’s the left–always devoid of ideas and ever ready to smear and name-call.

  • kateorjane

There is no instance that the Left can’t find some victim card to play – even if it isn’t on their own behalf.
Everything seems to be considered in terms of race/gender/sexual orientation & now religion. It really makes you wonder if the Left has any honest principles or if they are just walking shams,

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

      I don’t wonder.

  • James Perley

Democrats can’t win on most issues. Racism and sexism are their refuges.

  • AmericanLass

Proof that the VA voters are awake. Left is defending one of their own……a progressive.

    • betzinva

Outside of the immigration issue, Cantors conservative bona fides were very, very strong. Taking the leadership role ruined him. Since I live in the district, I can only hope that Brat wasn’t a fake running as the spoiler.

      • AmericanLass

Have no love for Eric, but there is something about Brat that bothers me. Can’t place it yet, just an mental itch.

        • betzinva

Me, too. I’d never characterize Cantor as a leftist, or “one of their own”. My concern w/ Brat is primarily over the relationship w/ the economic council/board he served on under Timmy Kaine, a loathsome little beggar if ever there was one.

  • Noonespecial

I assume I’m not the only one that recognizes the fact that the white members of the so-called “Liberal” left are really just a bunch of racist crackers, just like in the old days. Things never really change, do they….people certainly don’t.

Not surprising that their policies are designed to keep non-whites and the poor “in their place”, and separated from these Starbuck-swilling “enlightened” ones, as they make sad eyes about the plight of those “less fortunate” while wholeheartedly embracing policies that hasten their demise and isolation through abortion, substandard schools, and government handouts that actually cost them their souls, leading to hopelessness, poverty, drugs, and violence. Just as Johnson and his cronies, along with their Uncle Tom poverty pimps (Sharpton, Jackson, etc), planned it 60 years ago.

And some fools actually believe the parties somehow “Switched”, because of Barry Goldwater’s “Southern Strategy”. Ludicrous. THis is the same white hood wearing bunch of slime, under a new label. It’s called “Liberal”.

You have to hand it to Democrats. They can spin an incredible yarn, and pull off the most amazing evil plan. They would make Dr Evil blush if he were a real person.

The motto for the Democrats in power should be, “If you can’t beat them, trick them into thinking you’re their friend and re-enslave them by their own hand”.. Vote slaves are still slaves.

The amazing thing is that there are many in the Democratic camp that actually believe they are the kindest, most decent folk alive. They must get up every morning and praise themselves in the mirror for caring so very much about “those less fortunate”.

  • Stephen L. Hall #NonquamTrump

Eric Cantor is Jewish? Who knew?

    • alanstorm

No one, prior to this. But lefties have to find something other than reality to explain things.

Old Testament David and Goliath. 1 Samuel 17:12–58—David slays Goliath.

    David won.

  • /sarcnado ☠

So let me get this straight … Cantor SHOULD have won the primary BECAUSE he’s Jewish? Is that about right? Because that’s exactly what it sounds like. Someone sound the death knell for common sense.

    • keyboard jockey

It’s the Left’s logic, they filter everything through identity politics – they are navel gazers.

  • GulfPundit

Seven term GOP congressman loses and the Left has a pee party in the shallow end of the intellectual swimming pool.

    • keyboard jockey

The district leans 15 points to republicans so it is a heads up to the democrat’s but in true form their response is to behave like juveniles and fling poo. That same juvenile behavior is going to see major losses in November IMO. Voters want adults put in charge.

  • pupster40

Didn’t know Cantor was Jewish until now. Interesting fact(oid). That obviously didn’t matter for the past 14 years beginning in 2000 when he was first elected to represent VA7.

  • Houmid

Wasn’t aware Cantor was Jewish. Don’t care if Cantor was Jewish or not. His religion is totally irrelevant. And anyone, regardless of whether they are liberal, leftist, progressive, or conservative, that tries to make this about religion is merely declaring themselves to be bigoted, racist, and supportive of unfair discriminatory practices.

  • Red Fred

Hahaha, the religion, God-booing left complaining and bringing religion into the argument. Separation of church and state lefties, remember?

Note; this post is dripping with sarcasm, just in case you cant identify the goop.

  • irishgirl91

Had Cantor represented his people instead of the interest of The Chamber of Commerce, he would have grown old in that office. He ran unopposed many years and was a favorite son. But his constituents are plumbers being out bid by illegals that don’t have to pay the same taxes and fees law abiding citizens do. They are owners of homes in non-country club neighborhoods that have 8-10-12 illegal men living in the 3bed 2bath home next door. Several trucks parked on the street at night and men that have to urinate in the bushes. These are real issues and Cantor chose to ignore them. It takes guts to vote out that kind of power for their district and I applaud them because their courage will help me in my border state as well.

  • Rogue Cheddar

Cant or Wont is Jewish? Well, dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians, I didn’t know that!

    • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

That’s the giveaway that you’re not a lefty. They know your racial and religious leanings before you do, just in case.

      • Rogue Cheddar

(Whew!) That’s good to hear. Sometimes I worry about being a Lefty like George worries about being gay.

        George: For my hamstring.
        Jerry: Oh.
George: He got about two inches from… there.
        Jerry: Really?
        George: I think it moved.
        Jerry: Moved?
George: It may have moved, I don’t know.
Jerry: I’m sure it didn’t move.
George: It moved! It was imperceptible but I felt it.
Jerry: Maybe it just wanted to change positions? You know, shift to the other side.
George: No, no. It wasn’t a shift, I’ve shifted, this was a move.
Jerry: Okay, so what if it moved?
George: That’s the sign! The test; if a man makes it move.
Jerry: That’s not the test. Contact is the test, if it moves as a result of contact.
George: You think it’s contact? It has to be touched?
Jerry: That’s what a gym teacher once told me.

  • Rogue Cheddar

Hey Dave Wasserman, are you by any chance related to Debbie WashTheMans Shultz? That would explain a lot.

  • helioquois

Thank you for your service, Mr. Cantor. For all the DNC nuts spewing the anti-semitic venom today, performance is what counts and the American people will take excellence in the pursuit of viable American principles over false PC diversity. Trying to make things look right is not the same as getting things right. And when you get things right, it doesn’t matter what the religious, racial or gender characteristics of those that make it so. Mr. Cantor not only ran a poor campaign, but he is certainly out of touch with the American people on the Affordable Care Act and placing Immigration reform above the securing of our southern border.

  • Dobermite

If Cantor shared Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro’s politics, he would have won his primary in a rout. But instead he was either tone deaf as to the concerns of his base or he couldn’t care less, either of which is a recipe for defeat.

  • boboadobo
hopefully wins in California problem solved.

    • snakebit

Well I’m sure we can count on all the Democrats in Mr. Carr’s district to vote for him out of their sincere concern that the Republicans continue to have a “Jewish Caucus.”

  • Moshe Ben Avram

As a Conservative Tea Party Jew, Cantor lost because he wasn’t doing what he was supposed to do…look after his constituents. Brat won because the people are tired of RINO’S and Cantor was one of them.

  • Im_Rick_James

Guys, we should stop giving Mike Dickinson press. We all know he’s an a$$clown, but it’s what he wants….

  • LegalizeShemp

That’s because liberals are the ones who vote based on groupthink, and if you vote against their candidate, they use group affiliation to assign “hate” to their opponents.

  • downtown21

And the “conservative movement” continues its relentless drive for ideological purity, huh? It’s kind of amazing how that list of “true conservatives” keeps getting smaller and smaller, isn’t it?

Who knew or cared that he was Jewish — except for Democratic anti-Semites of course…?

  • ThomasP

Here’s why factoring Eric Cantor’s religion into his
unexpected lost may not be that far fetched an idea.

The fact that Eric Cantor is Jewish, in fact the
only Jewish GOP Representative in Congress, has only recently (I’ll say at some
point during the last Presidential Election) been made known to the national

The manner in which the polling was so highly
misrepresented, is strongly reminiscent of previous polling data that would often
show a candidate as leading with a wide margin only to either win by the
narrowest of victories, or lose all together.
For these previous instances, the Candidates have been African American,
but the polling behavior has been the same.
Examples are that of Doug Wilder who narrowly won the Governorship of VA,
while polling previous to the election showed him with double digits leads. And, similarly Bradley the popular Mayor of
L.A. who ran for Governor of California with polls showing him ahead of the
competition, only to end up losing on election day.

Perhaps ashamed of their illogical racist or
anti-Semitic beliefs, folks of that mentality LIE to the poll takers, but in
the voting booth they express their true feelings. Looking at the polling data beforehand and
the eventual outcome, sure smells like that is exactly what occurred here!

    • tedlv

I call BS. I know many conservatives, most of whom identify with the Republican party. Not one gives a rip if someone is Jewish. Not one. This was not the issue. The core issue, as I see it, was amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, all of whom broke the law by coming here, and should be bussed back across a very secure border. Republicans are far more likely to support Israel, by the way, than democraps, who support Palestine.

A thousand apologizes Sister. I wrote it in a text editor to utilize
Spell Check (doesn’t everyone do this…hmmm…I’m thinking they

          • H50 ✓RAT

No problem, hard to know who’s boys and girls from the posts.

I don’t copy and paste from another format, I just use the built in spell check. Its a lot easier.
Also if you really want folks to read longer posts you really should realign them before you post, or where it surprises you after you post, use the edit function.

Honestly, what you posted was a lot like some of the milder why republicans are bigots articles Ive read which is why I posted that you should post the source.
If those were your own thoughts, my apologies.
I do disagree with your conclusion and was irritated by your presentation so I guess it would depend on your definition of impressed.

By hey, its the cocktail hour here now, so ask me again later, I might be more complementary.

          • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

That explains the mistake-spell check doesn’t catch words that are spelled right, but don’t make sense.

It’s amazing how much the left all of sudden cares about Jews? In a liberals mind if someone loses it’s not because of what they had to offer, it’s because of their skin color, religion, or sexual orientation. The DNC has to infuse hatred in all aspects of life. What a way to live.

For Democrats to talk about anti-Semitism is the biggest joke ever – they are the main practitioners of it today.

  • “Rev Jim Jones”

So in a sense, liberals are all about the Jewish thing as long as religion and statehood aren’t in the equation? Kind of like their support on:

Women as long as they’re not conservative, or..

Stance against domestic violence as long as it doesn’t prevent termination of an unborn human being, or..

Minority success as long as they’re not members of the GOP, or..

Marriage as long as it does not involve individuals from the opposite sex, or..

Reducing the deficit as long as it doesn’t reduce spending, or..

Personal wealth as long as it was not earned, or..

Violence as long as it’s not being used to further a progressive initiative, or..

Pursuit of liberty and happiness as long as it doesn’t conflict with their views on gun ownership, religion or the environment, and on and on…
