The Heritage Foundation released its much-awaited study of the Gang of Ocho’s amnesty plan this morning. The Examiner’s Conn Carroll helpfully summarizes the study’s key points:

The study’s lead author, Robert Rector, says the costs of amnesty are backloaded:

Does that sound familiar? It should:

Does the Heritage Foundation study actually understate the costs of amnesty? Yes, probably:

And let’s not forget this:

Lovely. Can’t these skid marks count any lower than a trillion?

What do they care?… It’s not coming out of their pockets. >:^(

We already have Immigration Laws. Enforce the Immigration Laws that are already on the books.
We Don’t Need Anything Reformed! Close the borders! Come here Legally! Period!

  • D-dubs

Soooooo what can you do about it? Call your Senator, especially if they are Democrat, and let them know this is unacceptable……….right now actually. What are you waiting for?

  • stillinthe60s

“Heritage Foundation says amnesty will cost taxpayers at least $6.3 trillion”…you actually mean the Chinese. It will cost US that, plus the interest to pay off the debt to the Chi-coms.

  • Murphy Linn Spears

    What’s another trillion dollars?

  • MJ Pauls

So far, we’ve backed the Titanic up, rammed the iceberg again, and again, and again, and now we’re going to torpedo the hull. Lovely. Do I get a life jacket, or are those reserved for Congress Critters, leftist terrorists/activists, Whorelywood dingleberries, and illegal aliens?

  • MurphTacular

This ‘study’ was debunked the first time Heritage did it in 2007. This is a revision that’s still got enough holes in it to strain everyone’s spaghetti. It’s a mess folks, and even if true (which it ain’t), keep in mind that inflated price tag is spread across 50 years. Even Rubio’s disputing its findings.

    • Dan Thorpe

Ok just forget the cost then. What sense does it make to have immigration reform that 1) does not secure our borders and 2) rewards people with amnesty that came here illegally and broke the current laws? That’s just common sense though, and of course Rubio desputes the findings, he is one of the Senators that support the bill.

    • digitalPimple

      Sure it was.

I will come back for the tweets later… once I hit “…Gang of Ocho” I can’t stop crying…

  • Typewriterstreaming

Obama must be thrilled. His plan to bankrupt us into a third world nation is working out so nicely.

  • Guest

That estimate only averages out to around $5700.00 per the (supposed) 11 million “undocumented democrats.” Really? You expect us to believe that they get to take 10 years to get to citizenship and it’s only going to cost us less than six grand each? The “head of the department to the assistant to the leader of the section support to the sub dude who stamps the papers” will be pulling in a $150,000.00 once the new department gets unionized.

    I am not a sheeple.

    • Harry A

chip you did the math wrong, im pretty sure it comes out to $565,000 per illegal immigrant.

  • TonyMitch

The 6 trillion is nothing compared to the cost of loosing our country to mexico and latin america

  • JoeMyGodNYC

Heh. Jim Demint is earning that payoff he got to leave the Senate.
