From the American Conservative Union’s press release:

“Donald Trump is an American patriot and success story with a massive following among small government conservatives,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “I look forward to welcoming him back to the CPAC stage next week. Mr. Trump’s previous CPAC appearance was hugely popular among our attendees and we expect it will be even more popular this year.”

Donald Trump is many things: birther, eminent domain abusersexist, former Barack Obama cheerleader. One thing he is not is conservative.

Real small-government conservatives aren’t falling for it:

Trump?! REALLY?!?! What the heck is wrong with those people? I thought the ‘C’ was for Conservative, am I wrong, or is it just them? Way To Go cpac!!!

  • Rulz

No GoProud, but you invite Trump?

  • Scott Carroll

The Donald is a charismatic, successful capitalist. He should be allowed to speak. As should Pamela Geller and Chris Christie and GoProud. I mean really, how many more ways can CPAC screw the invitation pooch.

    • Spatial Awareness

How many more ways can CPAC screw the invitation pooch?

      Sit back and watch. ~_^

    • Sakemoto

I’d rather hear Pamela Anderson speak at CPAC than Trump.

  • J. Cox

When you let the RINO’s run the party….this is what you end up with.True cons that were invited would do better playing hooky that day.Make CPAC die the death that was due 12 years ago.Move over and let real conservative’s take the helm.

  • Candy Ohara

Well…at least he’s not gay. Right CPAC?! I’m convinced that it was the Obama/Christie hug that really got him booted.

    • Jillane Kent

Got him booted? Was he ever formally invited?

  • Richard J Sunkle

Trump is as conservative as you pay him to be. A real American “Idle” star.

I think I’d trust Don King more.

    • michael s

      Don King is a republican

      • Jillane Kent

Hence, why Richard likely would trust his conservative credentials more.

  • Gloves Donahue, Jr.

If he was just a bigmouth with no money, I’m sure this intellectual would still be invited.

By the way, Fox and Friends should ge caller ID.

  • bonnieblue2A

Has Carl Rove and his gang taken over CPAC as well?
GOP is going the way of the WIG party. Glad I left it.
The two party system where both parties are more alike than different is killing our Republic.

  • peteee363

what romney wasn’t rino enough, you invite a whale of a rino?

  • michael s

i enjoy this infighting amongst conservatives. when trump is popular ,being racist towards Pres Obama, you love him he’s part of the team. Now he’s not one of you. stop being dishonest. now you pick Christie over him(although just a few days ago you were against Christie). more infighting please?

    • Jillane Kent

      A) He was never, by most conservatives, considered to be a standard bearer.
      B) Did you not read the post? Christie was not selected to be a part of CPAC
      C) Infighting at least proves that conservatives are not following a herd mentality
      D) How was Trump racist? Don’t you recall his effusive praise of Obama?
