Bill Maher falsely claims Marco Rubio is a 'shameless liar' about debt

Last August , PoltiFact, an organization not known for its right-wing bias, acknowledged that President Obama racked up more debt than President George W. Bush:

According to the Treasury Department’s count, the debt has grown $5.3 trillion since Obama took office in 2009, compared to $4.9 trillion in Bush’s eight years.

Of course, if we consider the additional debt accrued since the PolitiFact article was published — about $490 billion — Rubio’s claim is even more true.

Someone is shamelessly lying, but it isn’t Sen. Rubio.
