$41 in tax hikes for every dollar in spending cuts is a big win?

If you believe that, you probably also believe that Harriet Miers was a great SCOTUS pick.

So he’d vote for the bill even though it “raises taxes in a harmful way.”

A bad deal is a bad deal no matter what kind of spin Hewitt or anybody else wants to put on it.

  • Jason

I have a lot of respect for Hewitt, so I’d love to hear him explain himself.

  • NCRelite

Morning glory and evening grace, America! He has Mark Steyn on his show every Thursday but I wonder if he actually listens to what he’s saying

  • dicentra

I used to listen to Hewitt as an optimistic counterbalance to Glenn Beck, but lately Hugh depresses me with his dogged GOP cheerleading whereas Glenn’s willingness to face the worse and do something about it is heartening.

The tea party right wing conservative ship is sinking and the people are jumping off!!!! It’s a great start to the new year!!!

    • BeeKaaay

Right wing? We still have one in the USA? I can’t tell with Obammunism being official government doctrine.

Tea Party? You mean the movement that disappeared in November 2010? Next thing you’ll tell us that the boogie man is after you too.

These guys don’t know whether they are coming or going.

  • BeeKaaay

Hugh Hewitt? He obviously didn’t do his research. What a disappointment.

  • JustSayin

I listen to Hugh and don’t understand his politics. He talks Right Centrist yet takes the crap sandwiches the libs hand out. Winning is: NO TAXES and actual cuts in spending.

I love Townhall (except that they can’t stop spammers). I post there frequently…but this has me totally shaking my head.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who remembers Radio RNC’s frantic “is it worth the candle for the damage it will do to this President?” (read: the Faction) defense of Miers. I seem to remember him saying “we’ve got to print our way out of this, and it’ll be okay, they’re smart guys” when TARP first floated to the surface.
