Maine is one of two states that allocates some of its electoral votes by congressional district. (Nebraska is the other.)

Polls indicate that Romney will lose Maine as a whole, but the state’s second congressional district has a significant GOP presence. Whoever wins that district gets one electoral vote.

If liberal-leaning PPP says Obama is up by only 5 points, the district is possibly in play.

Pro-Romney ads have been running there:

You never know; it could matter.

More than likely, Romney will lose Nevada. A more realistic scenario where Main’s Second District can change the entire election is this. http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bfgY That will make it a 269-269 tie and Romney will be inaugurated as President in January because the GOP will control the House.

But the Senate decides the VP… which could mean four more of “Bite Me.” Of course I’d rather Romney gets 295 or so and we avoid all that…

Hoping my 300′ x 700′ “MITT” field sign I created with my tractor in Presque Isle (2nd district, Maine) helps.

I believe ME-02 could very well go to Romney, but it isn’t because of the leftist phonies at Piss Poor Polling.

Just realized I spelled “Maine” wrong :/

I live in Monticello. In my travels I have seen two Obama posters. Up here there are many elderly folks. Also a church on every corner. I’m hoping we go red!
