“Obama arrived in Denver at 2 PM today — “Just a few hours before the debate started,” Gore said Wednesday on his Current TV network.

“Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet and you only have a few hours to adjust — I don’t know,” Gore said.

Naturally, Gore’s colleagues on Current TV thought this was an excellent point:

Twitter users, on the other hand…

  • Bill

Hmmm. sure it was not the result of the missing teleprompter. Seems last major television event BHO spoke at “with” a teleprompter was in Denver and that caused a thrill to go up Crazy Matthews’ leg.

  • John Wehrle

Geez, if only Obama hadn’t stopped the rising of the oceans, Denver would be so much closer to sea level. Ain’t it ironic?

    • tjp77

You know, that’s a really good point.

    • yacope

      ^^^ Win!

    • Darth_Venomous

      Thread winner! 😀

  • Kari OBrien

LOL!! the altitude has gotten to Gore! What a tool!

  • Vern Demerest

So Algore attributes Obama’s performance to the altitude. That he only had a couple hours at 5000′. Except that the airplane he flew in on was pressurized and had about an 8000′ foot cabin altitude. And he spends a lot of time in AF1. Which means he spends a lot of time at 8000′.

    • bluewaternavy

Excellent point. and Barry suffered explosive decompression onstage yesterday

      • Jason Baugher

Better than explosive diarrhea. Or maybe not?

  • Jeff Adamo

It’s frightening to think how close Gore came to being president.

    • Joe

I didn’t vote for him because I live 10 miles from NSA and scared for my families life after 9/11.

      • TomJB

Gore ran before 9/11, but your point is still valid. I don’t want to begin to imagine how he would have handled that attack.

    • fed-up

Holy Crap! You got that right. I can only imagine the hole this country would be in.

  • Apologianick

He might have been too high because of that pedestal the media has put him on. Either that or he’s spent too much time on Mt. Olympus.

    • Gene Estapa

Haha…what a great great comment! And so true!!

  • Michael Gingrich

Crazy Huh! Maybe the Liberals will try and BAN Debates at 5,000 Feet. How Stupid.

  • leo d.

oh… that makes sense… he created the internet after all. and everything on the internet is.true… right?

  • JLThorpe

I’m surprised Gore didn’t blame it on no one releasing Obama’s chakra.

  • Delores Bowles

Al Gore another moron in the Democratic party.

  • TomL

COME on everyone knows that it is global warming that is to blame.

  • john

Gore:Obama may have seen Manbearpig. Maybe this effected his concentration.

  • oldenough2remember

Now that I’m done laughing….. no, wait, I’m not done yet!!!!!!

    • TomJB

careful! sustained uncontrolled laughter can be more hazardous than breathing at mile-high elevation!

  • digitalPimple

And this man was nominated by the Dem party as POTUS ‘material’ guys and gals. Think about that. Think real hard about that.

    • sidewinderaz

Exactly. It also doesn’t say very much about the quality of candidates they’re fielding at the city, county and state levels either (not to mention those in the US Congress and Senate).

  • Gio

This just in… ManBearPig spotted in Denver running off with all the pResidents wits…

  • fed-up

Well afterall Al Gore (the man of science) should know how the atmosphere can impact the human condition. He has studied up on high altitude models and referenced East Anglia University on this and the hypothesis is proven out after plugging data and entering a fudge factor. Of course it makes perfect sense. How could the Republicans be so racist as to have the first debate held in Denver. I think we should have a do-over. What a complete toad.

  • Alan

Apparently Al Gore doesn’t realize that when Obama is on his plane flying at 39,000 feet the cabin pressure is kept at around 6,900 feet. Perhaps it was the after affects of his flight that caused Obama to look inept?

  • Joe Ruisi

What a DORK! When I was in the Army, I spent 3 winter months in Combat training at Camp Hale, CO – over twice as high in elevation as Denver. I was mentally sharper up

  • Terry Forde

Well, at least it’s not being blamed on George Bush!

    • Laura Thompson

      • bluewaternavy

        Give it time, right?

    • George Demetriou

Well….he did “inherit” Denver from the Bush Administration

      • Jay Stevens

        He inherited EVERYTHING from Bush.

  • lazypadawan

Obama was experiencing a Rocky Mountain High, not unlike his chooming days.

  • Cynthia Clement

Really AL do you think ever? Obama flies every day of the week in Airforce One… you know that! Maybe it is because of his Green Agenda, by the way where did that go? Green or was it really the Red of the last century… Progressive’s are back with their Fear Mantra’s to control the lemmings. Just like they did in the last century.

  • LandOfFree

Who is Al Gore and why is he even relevant?

    • bluewaternavy

      He invented the internet ;-P

  • Orpheus75

I tell ya’, you just can’t make this kind of stuff up.

  • Noel C Genung

The dog ate my homework syndrome

  • Mr. Hughes

It wasn’t the altitude, it was that Obama always has his nose so high in the air that he got light headed, dumbfounded.

  • Adam Steinman

I spit out my diet coke when I heard this, lol. Come on Al, just admit Pres Obama had a bad night. He could not run on his record, kept repeating things like the 5trillion tax cut of Romney’s that does not exist and poor prep work on the President’s part!!! Can’t wait for next weeks VP debate, that will be even better!!!

  • Robert McCollum

Did Algore search this on “his” internet that he created?

  • Phelony Jones

Okay, then. Any football, basketball, and baseball team that ever comes to Denver and loses, can blame it on altitude.

    • Brent Guthrie

Field goal kickers love playing in Denver. The reduction of air pressure can add 10 yards to their field goal attempts.

      • sidewinderaz

Right Brent. Baseball teams like it there too. Adds some distance to their home runs there.

  • Richard perkinson

So far the dems have shown no class. At least have the class to take a goo old fashion ass whipping without blaming something. Hey, we lied, we got caught, we didn’t have a teleprompter to tell Obama what to say or how to smile. His big smile and smugness was entirely missing last night.

  • Esteban

Obama could have had Air Force One pressurized to resemble Denver’s altitude. Money is no object when it comes to a short cut for BHO.

  • Sandy Pfaff

What he couldn’t have even changed his clothes? He looked like he slept in his suit…..he slouched….he stuttered….he wasn’t very good was he? Romney looked shiny and polished…maybe OBama should have prepared by not showing up a couple of hours beforehand…where were his advisors? LOL

    • redheadgrl

Agreed, he looked horrible. Even before the whooping started. But I have noticed this a lot lately. Unless he is in front of a crowd getting accolades, he looks tired/exhausted/sick or something. Personally, I don’t think he can physically handle another 4 years.

  • frank5ngls

    More likely high ATTITUDE!!!!

  • Donna

I think Obama was just giddy that it was his Anniversary, and he just couldn’t wait to get back to Michelle …for…you know…her healthy lettuce & cabbage lingerie ensemble 😉

    • Ron Blaise

Donna, please I just had lunch!

    • Psalmist1972

No, I believe THIS is the thread winner! ROFL

  • Guest

Funny that is best excuse these clowns can come up with. Guess its an “inconvenient truth” that Obama sucks without someone else telling him what to say ins teleprompter.

  • Cynthia Clement

The debate last night will go down in History as the Obama Boo Boo show!

  • Mandy Ives Ruston

An inconvenient truth that BO smells like BO without the teleprompter.

  • Bret Theriot

He’s probably right, high altitudes aren’t environmentaly friendly to dumbasses. Come to think of it, Obama must be on Air Force One when he makes most of his decisions.

  • Carla Stokes

That’s AL GORE for you! Dumb!

  • Josephine (D)

Al Gore is hot air embodied(no pun intended); no wonder Tipper left him(not that I like her either).

  • lissa

Mr. Global Warming is wrong. High altitude shouldn’t bother someone who’s had his head in the clouds and his nose in the air for 4 years.

  • Tom Moulthrop

I know…. it’s because he was that much closer to the source of global warming. yeah, that’s it.

  • George Hardy

I work in the ” Looney Bin” and can tell you that Gore is ready for it ! We have pleanty like him there and he will be in good company.

  • Wulfheard

    Poor crazy Al.lmao

  • jdog

I think global warming was to blame for the poor performance.

  • CalCon10

Lack of oxygen? Maybe THAT has been the problem with Al Gore all these years.

  • DB

If the thin air made Pres. O weak, why didn’t it do the same for Mr. R?

  • Jack Deth

    Sorry, Al.

Throwing the BS Flag on this one!

I’ve been to both Denver and Cali, Columbia and thin air just makes you pant a lot and does absolutely nothing to brain function.

Also suffered from true Hypoxia during climb out from a LAPES drop and the C-130’s slow closing cargo ramp and doors drop decades ago. Which is something entirely different.

  • vmb

OK. I’m off the floor from laughing so hard…. IF that were the real reason for Obama’s poor performance last night, (sorry, another fit of uncontrollable laughter), wouldn’t you expect our current “Command in Chief” to be prepared for the change in altitude and arrive earlier? Oops, his handlers forgot to consider that one. They didn’t think a wooden puppet would have a problem…..

  • Kyle Bradelle

SMH Wasn’t Romney at the same altitude?? Fat, lazy and stupid is no way to go through life, Al.

  • Rodd Hoffman

Al Gore suggests Obama only worry about campaigning in those states that are at or below sea level….?

    • TomJB

Ah! So the extra 7 states are new land exposed by falling oceans!

  • fulljump

obama lives on a jet, aka; the Air Force One mile high club. obama had the altitude advantage

  • Jimni27

Unless Obama has the same sickle cell trait Ryan Clark of the Steelers has that prevents him from playing in Denver, there is no excuse other than the MSM’ s coddling of him for 4 years for his dismal performance.

    • TomJB

now you’ve done it… given them hope for a legit excuse… give it a couple days and some doctor exam on the President followed by a press release…

  • SL

No Gore, you insipid toad, the problem is no affirmative action in front of live cameras.

  • Ed Selby

    Really, Al? Really??

  • Owen007

I’d think Gore would ecstatic over last night. “Finally, a worse debate performance than mine!”

  • tripledotter

If Gore was Elected in 2000, he would have been Impeached over 9-11 and The Democrat Party would have no longer been in existence.

  • JesLHW

I’ve flown to the Rockies from Alabama and Tennessee before. I personally have never felt like a sulking, ignorant Communist after disembarking from the planes. But I guess we are all different and have our own ways of dealing with altitude adjustments.

    • JoH113

Indeed. I used to live in Bogota, Colombia, which is 3000 ft higher than Denver’s highest altitude, and if anything, I left there even more conservative than when I had arrived.

  • pandapal

If you have never flown into Denver, you can’t know how the altitude affects you. When I deplaned in Denver and got to my destination, I slept for 12 straight hours. Obama didn’t have that luxury, so perhaps Gore is not so off base afterall. I also suffered several nose bleeds as a result of the change in altitude. I was there for 6 weeks so had more than sufficient time to recover. Obama again had no recovery time.

    • TomJB

But somehow only 1 of the 2 candidates were affected by the altitude? Shouldn’t they both have been affected? After all, they were only standing a few feet apart.

      • JoH113

Well, Denver altitude is clearly raaaaaaacist! lol

  • tjp77

    “I don’t know”

Three words Al Gore needs to use more often.

  • PennyRobinsonFanClub

Dear God, I almost feel bad for these turkeys….almost.

  • RaggedyAnn46

ROFL! The excuses for B.O. just keep getting better and better! hahaha That one will be hard to top!

  • Jeffrey Stewart

“if you want to be President, you owe it to the American People to tell the truth” the potus just read that from his teleprompter to a small crowd here at Sloan’s Lake in Denver. He opened himself to the fact checkers on that talking point.
I observed outside the venue, when the motorcade drove by, he looked annoyed and bored. How arrogant. Oh, and he was sitting in the RIGHT seat in the back of the limousine.

  • Grey Winters

I thought Global Warming to blame.

  • Mark Neidl

So in other words the president did poorly because of global warming which is Bush’s fault. Got it!

  • The Doc

I’m waiting for Al to say it was Man-Bear-Pig’s fault. Oh wait, that was South Park ripping on his genius. Oh well.

  • WingedBishop

That’s a terrible excuse. I’ve flown to Denver and gotten right to work before. Side note, I actually had to stop the video, not because of the bad excuse, but because watching a video of someone holding a camera to their TV set is nauseating. If the video was direct footage it probably would have played for 4-5 more seconds before I turned it off.

    • TomJB

Yeah, and Romney has been acclimating there for months just to prepare for the debate. LOL

  • Sharon

I can’t believe after seeing the debate that my fb friends are still posting the Obama lies that got corrected by Romney. I am surrounded by blind liberal idiots.

  • Craig Jacobs

Since Air Force One is pressurized to an equivalent of 6,000 ft. altitude, if the president is *that* impacted by altitude, maybe he should relinquish command while airborne.

    • Darth_Venomous

      To Vice-Perp Gaffetastic?!?!?! OhPleaseGawdNo™!!!!! :-)

  • chris hasty

    ManBearPig did it.

  • livingpruf

Hm? Altitude didn’t bother him at all in 2008.
Holy stinking baboons! Has this man Gore no shame!?

  • R.s. Moffatt

Okay then, the next debate will be held in Leadville, Colorado at 10,000 ft elevation. Obama’s little head will explode then I guess.

  • Mark Smego

Again this show better decision and management skills for Gov. Romney. Thanks Al

  • Bobsbride2

Gore needs to close his mouth so the polar ice caps can stop melting. It takes more than just a few hours or days to adjust to the altitude in Denver. I lived there for 6 years. It takes an average of 2 to 3 weeks for the average healthy person. So, Romney had no more of an advantage than Obama.

  • gregzotta

Al Gore blames the high altitude as an excuse for Barack Hussein Obama’s poor debate performance. Gore may have a point, after all Gore is an air-head.

  • Robert E. Brown

I thought that maybe with all the pot and cocaine Oweblama did in college that he would be used to being high by now.

  • dr44

That is just possibly the lamest excuse I’ve ever heard. Even from AlGore.

  • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

#ObamaSucked because Michelle made him eat her ‘school lunch’. But I don’t like broccoli.

  • Jack Nalley

I think President Obama should blame his debate coach if he had one.

  • goldwater89

What has happened to Gore’s face over the past few years? He looks like he was stung by a swarm of bees.

  • Craig A. Conrad

It wasn’t the altitude – it was obviously the excess carbon dioxide from the global warming.

  • Giovanni Galtiago

And like any other great global warming “factoid”: Even though two islands are side by side, only one is experiencing higher tides. Now, two men stand side by side and only one has to contend with higher altitudes.

    Science is amazing

  • Brenda Martin Bredehoeft

yea, uh huh, that’s right…tell it bro! BLAHAHAHAHA…will the excuses never end? Get your business together and plan better..’nuff said!

  • Dave Jones

add glob warming & its the dubl wammy

  • Edward Cropper

check my blog for a confirmation of Al Gores remarks

  • Mark Hooks

    But….but…he’s like smart….like a scientist and stuff….That movie said so….

  • Toqin

Well, if altitude sickness did get to Oboohoo, then I guess he should’ve not been traveling in Air Force 1 and not been traveling to Nevada to scope out the Hoover Dam for his terrorist friends. He should’ve gone to Denver and stayed there til his head was on straight (if it ever has been).

  • AUBraves

I agree that the altitude change can actually make you lose focus and become incoherent… look what it did to all the MSM reporters.

  • Tom Meier

pray for and work for continued success for Mitt Romney, never quit , never give in .

  • Kenny Allen

maybe Al should-a loaned BHO some carbon credits…would that help?

  • Mark Kortum

And even if old Al is right did Denver just rise to that altitude within the past 48 hours and catch our brilliant scholarly leader by surprise?

  • Brett McMicken

ironic, how gore made such a clown of himself in his own presidential debate…..

  • John Galt

    Obama is:

    — the man who surrounds himself with and seeks the advice of only the radical left and worse

–the man who redistributes (loots) the earnings of the producers to the non-producers so they will continue to vote for him

–the man who embraces the ideas of Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright & Karl Marx.

–the man who refuses to take questions.

–the man who supports Occupation Wall St.

–the man who is spending and manipulating the greatest country on earth into financial collapse.

–the man who speaks of “social justice” but never of freedom.

–the man who hates free market capitalism.

–the man who prevents the development of our oil, coal & nuclear resources.

–the man who rejects the Constitution.

–the man who initiates force against us all by “mandating” his health care scam. A true despot.

He is, at best, a cheap Chicago left-wing politician who cares only that
he get re-elected to a position he is grotesquely unequipped for — yet
doesn’t take even that position seriously enough to read Economics 101.

  • Redhotchilli Pepper

Other then he really had no defense of his record.. i think he was stoned .. see how pale he was at end of debate?

  • Kurt Ryan Blake

Gore invokes James Carville: “It’s the topography, Stupid!”
