The first FLOTUS ticket? Oh, hell no.

Reminder: It’s totally not a cult.

We’re not sure we feel safe with these drivers on the road. And frighteningly, they’ve been tooling around with these “Hillary Clinton/Michelle Obama 2016” stickers for a while. Shudder.

  • pinupartist

Better to drive with a Massachusetts (or NY, or CA, or any blue state) license plate & be thought a fool than to have a hillary or stompy bumper sticker & remove all doubt.

EDIT: The only consolation is, at least they seem to realize that Stompy can’t be Ruler for Life, so that’s something, I guess…..(although his destructive policies will suck for a long time after he’s gone :(

    • Marcy Cook

Looks like the plan is that stompy WILL rule for life…..hence Michelle as VP….then Michelle as president…by then the president for life will be passed on to stompy foot again. It’s a plan Stan. They will never leave…just like the Clintons.

      • KenH

Flaw in that plan is you have to be above room temperature for it to work….

      • Virginia Watkins

Unless a person has absolutely no income (exclude welfare for this purpose), no assets, and never makes a purchase; almost everyone pays taxes of one type or another.

        • $18912735

Sure, sales tax and other p.o.s. type taxes. Which you report to the government at an individual level how, exactly?

Net contributors to the public coffers should get a vote, net takers should sit on thier hands at election time. Time we let the adults run the country for a change, and let those who are funding the government decide what the government does with the money they receive. Don’t like it? Become a net contributor.

You needn’t worry, though Virginia. It won’t ever happen. The takers are fully ensconced in the system and enjoy the right to dictate equally with the producers as far as how the money the the producers provide is spent. Thus the reason the US is on an unstoppable downhill slide to bankruptcy and, inevitably, collapse.

          • MrSnuggles2k2

It would be as if your children were allowed equal say in how the families finances are run. It’d be exactly like that.

          • Dad On Disney

Thumos – I completely agree with your assessment of the producers and non-producers. We give give give with no end in sight.

The problem is this little document called the Constitution.

Paying taxes is not a requirement to have the right to vote. In fact Amendment 24 of the Constitution prevents the right from being “denied or abridged by the United States or any State” if someone has NOT paid their taxes. So to have a tax paying requirement, the Constitution would have to be amended. Good luck with that.

Being a US citizen is a requirement, therefore ID checks should be enforced as a means to verify someone’s citizen status. See Amendments 14, 15, 19, 24, 26

          • $18912735

I’m fully aware that my idea is not in alignment with the Constitution. I also have zero expectation that it will ever be amended in such a direction. I frankly think we are entering the death throes of the nation.

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” – Benjamin Franklin

          • Virginia Watkins

The point I was making is that most people pay some type of taxes, so therefore the argument of one must pay taxes in order to vote is not a valid argument. If it is applied only to income taxes, a lot of uber rich people are going to be pissed. The only appropriate way to determine a right to vote is by proof of Identity and citizenship.

There is no remedy for the under-informed people other than to inform them. The Takers rarely change and will do almost anything to stay entrenched in a system that gives them something for nothing (hence the 49% Romney was speaking of).

So the only thing to do is change the system. I have a few hundred ideas on that. First we have to get the right people in government who believe you reap what you sow..

          • BC1842

“Dictate EQUALLY with the producers”? When they’re voting >2x in each election, and/or when politicians care far more about how they can buy votes by giving away the producers’ money which they confiscated in income, estate, and other taxes, then in spending that money responsibly (or not confiscating it in the first place)? Surely you jest, although I agree with the rest of your post.

          • BudClark

            I’m a “taker.”

I was a “maker” from age 14 to age 59, when I had a debilitating heart attack and a stroke. I am confined to an electric wheelchair. I require an aide 24/7.

If it WEREN’T for Social Security and Medicare / Medi-Cal (which I PAID FOR), I’d be dead.

So would a lot of those people who got to sign up for the Affordable Health Care Act … my son, for instance.

Every time a child dies from lack of shelter, food, clothing, etc., a Republican goes to the Circle of Hell with the boiling equine excrement.

          • mike_in_kosovo

“Every time a child dies from lack of shelter, food, clothing, etc., a Republican Democrat goes to the Circle of Hell with the boiling equine excrement.”
Given that it’s actions by the DEMS that take money for shelter, food, clothing and healthcare from the pockets of us all, I took the liberty of fixing your typo.
            You’re welcome.

        • jules

And then gets an EIC or CTC credit at the end of the year that wipes that out…Let’s put in a fair tax so that multi-millionaires who can afford crafty CPAs pay their fair share as well as people who live off others, instead of placing the burden on the middle class.

          • Virginia Watkins

I think a straight 3% income tax would work very well.

          • Getserious!

But then all the rich liberals and politicians might have to pay! And all the illegals couldn’t get their huge EIC payouts–and might not vote democrat…

          • mike_in_kosovo

Tax cuts shift the burden from the lower/middle class to the rich.
At the 70% rate in 1980, the top 1 percent paid $47 billion
in taxes. Now, at 35% they pay more than 400 billion. After Reagan cut taxes in 1981, the top 1% tax payments went from about 50 billion in 1981 to over 110 billion in 1988. After the 86 tax cut, the rich went from paying 76 billion to 146 billion by 1993.

        • mike_in_kosovo

A perfect democracy, a ‘warm body’ democracy in which every adult may vote and all votes count equally, has no internal feedback for self-correction. It depends solely on the wisdom and self-restraint of citizens… which is opposed by the folly and lack of self-restraint of other citizens.

What is supposed to happen in a democracy is that each sovereign citizen will always vote in the public interest for the safety and welfare of all. But what does happen is that he votes his own self-interest as he sees it… which for the majority translates as ‘Bread and Circuses.’

‘Bread and Circuses’ is the cancer of democracy, the fatal disease for which there is no cure. Democracy often works beautifully at first. But once a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state.

For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader – the barbarians enter Rome. – Jubal Harshaw, as written by Robert Heinlein

          • Virginia Watkins

I don’t disagree with you on how some of our citizens think/act. I was merely saying that we can’t pick and choose who can and cannot vote based on taxes paid. All citizens have the same rights, so if we start putting conditions on our rights are we not then a dictatorship?.

I would like to thank you all for responding to my post, I usually get called names. I take our rights very seriously.

          • mike_in_kosovo

I *do* understand your point about taxes; I don’t necessarily agree with it, and here’s another quote to illustrate why:

“A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.” – George Bernard Shaw

…which feeds right back to the ‘bread and circuses’ quote above, as well as the quote by Ben Franklin.

          • Virginia Watkins

Exactly. The government should not rob Peter in the first place. However, does Peter have the right to strip Paul of his rights (welfare checks, free phones etc are not rights), while trying to reign in the government?

          • mike_in_kosovo

So, letting Paul vote to have gov’t rob Peter is ok?

          • Virginia Watkins

If they have the majority vote, yes. So then Peter has the patriotic duty to rally against the current government to change the practices of the current government up to and including replacing it to.

          • mike_in_kosovo

And yet, we make judges recuse themselves from cases where there may be a conflict of interest – why should we not do the same regarding voting to prevent the same conflict of interest issue?

          • Virginia Watkins

Judges are appointed or elected to interpret law specifically to one case at a time. Voters elect one person who best represents their opinion/belief on a multitude of issues. To recuse oneself from voting because of a real or possible conflict of interest has the potential to make no one eligible to vote except the person running for office. That would cause one vote for each candidate in each election.

          • mike_in_kosovo

There is a diffuse conflict of interest issue for Peter and a *direct* conflict of interest issue for Paul, since he stands to profit from Peter being robbed. Cui bono?

          • Virginia Watkins

Bottom line is if there are not enough Peters to reign in the government, Paul will continue to get paid until a complete collapse of the country.

I honestly believe everyone should be responsible for their self and responsible for their actions.

I also believe in our constitution and rights. I may not like what another does to exploit these rights, but they must be applied evenly or not at all.

Thanks for the good conversation Mike. Well wishes and hope to chat again.

          • 97E

They can’t get the jobs in the first place.
Certain unscrupulous employers won’t hire legal Americans because they would have to pay them a legal wage, and contribute towards their taxes. None of that applies with illegal workers, who aren’t in the system.

      which ‘color’?

    • 97E

      That’s an interesting point.

      Here’s another:

Black is not a color. Black indicates the absence of light. Without light, there is no color. White, on the other hand, is an equal combination of the primary colors of the light spectrum.

So the use of “colored person” is a misnomer when referring to peoples of African descent. Unless they recognize that their skin isn’t black, just a dark shade of brown.

But then, they’d be like all of those “brown” people, and they can’t have that! Divide & Conquer!

And it’s also why the GOP needs to get back to its roots with the nominee. If they choose a RINO, Killary is in.

the closest i have seen to such a ridiculous bumper sticker in my area is an “I <3 obamcare" on a prius.

    • World B. Free

I keep seeing a car locally with a “Community Organizer” sticker (complete with the “0” logo) on it. I’m tempted to run him off the road next time I see it.

  • John Smith

Pretty sick thought. This wouldn’t be as much a problem if all those repubs had not been afraid of voting for a Mormon and stayed home Nov 2012.

    • Theresa Easley

I’m Mormon. Nothing scary about us.

      • John Smith

Theresa, I still have a Romney/Ryan sticker on my car, just to allay any doubts.

Yes, and while they’re at it, they should EMBRACE the SUCK that is 0bamacare. After all, ABC News was telling us yesterday that public approval for 0-care is at an all time high. Run with it, Dems! You can’t lose!!!

      • iconoclast

And Obama is really popular, so all ‘Rats in tight races should ask Barry to campaign with them. Maybe help out by telling the voters that they are paying much more for worse healthcare so ‘Rats can have great government jobs.

    • Daniel Bonacum

      Considering the following, the GOP has nothing to prove;

      January 31, 1865
Republican-controlled 38th Congress passes the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery

      June 4, 1919
Republican-controlled 66th Congress passes the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote

      September 9, 1957
President Dwight Eisenhower signs the 1957 Civil Rights Act

      June 10, 1964
Senate passes the 1964 Civil Rights Act when the Republican leader, Everett Dirksen (R-IL), defeats Democrat filibuster

You probably should read a history book some time.

Want a black woman in the WH? Try someone with some intelligence, substantive experience, love of country and ethical grounding: Condi Rice. You remember her. The left called her a “house n*” and drew numerous racist cartoons of her, which went unremarked upon by the MSM. No glorification of Ms Rice allowed by the party of diversity and inclusion.

This is the kind of sticker that only someone totally and completely ignorant of both Clinton and Obama track record would put on their car; someone who likes the idea of something on paper (like communism), but who has clearly exerted no effort whatsoever to seriously contemplate the merits of the idea, and has no basis to even begin such an analysis.

Neither Clinton or Obama have anything but their last name and husbands to back their credibility as a serious candidate for President. Neither have a SINGLE successful accomplishment to which they can point, neither have any degree of merit or executive experience; and the average voter has no idea what these candidates would specifically stand for if they were in office.

Hillary/Michelle is a liberal wet dream, nothing more. If you see this sticker – don’t key their car, ask them to justify why in the world they would possibly think it’s a good idea. I promise you, they will not have an answer.

(Or, their answer will be snarling profanity and insane rambling about the evils of all republicans.)

It was 30 years since the last retarded commie potus. Only difference is that Carter blamed his horrific economy on the “malaise” – he blamed us for not being able to afford stuff after taxes and participate in the economy. Obama still blames Bush. Either way, you can’t be a tyrant without a scapegoat to blame when people suffer under your rule.

Let’s see if we can do better this time.

I want to know who think Michelle will willingly take a back seat to Hillary….I think she’d demand to be running for President.

  • LinTaylor ✓vitrified

    Let’s be serious here…

On the one hand, you have a self-centered sociopathic criminal who’s stolen, lied under oath, and has very likely had personal enemies killed (or at least harassed) and possesses massive entitlement and superiority complexes that make her think she’s “owed” the Presidency and anyone who disagrees is a brain-dead chimp.

On the other, we have a shallow, hot-tempered pop-culture junkie with less political experience than her husband (quite a feat) who preaches about healthy, reasonable lifestyles while having lavish vacations and throwing opulent parties for her Hollywood butt-smoochers on the taxpayer’s dime, and only really felt proud of America when it started kissing her husband’s pinky ring.

Yeah, that’s a real winner of a ticket there, libs. The Republicans could probably run a tapeworm against these two and win. I’d be willing to bet the tapeworm is more honest than Hilary and more savvy than Michelle, at least.

  • joeschmo8675309

I hope so. Maybe that will get people off of their couches once and for all and ensure these liberals are destroyed once and for all. If nothing is done after their election then I will know it is definitely time to leave.

Or is there far less thought behind it-you hate her because your liberal leaders told you to hate her?
To play by your own rules, I have to go there and tell you that you hate her because she’s a woman.

I TOTALLY agree! Can’t happen at all, actually… no such thing ever has, nor will ever occur in human history. It is an unbiblical concept, and to suggest the “good” people in the world will be rescued while God’s kingdom fails is tantamount to heresy.

    • redwhiteandtrue

Matthew 28:18 “All authority in heaven and earth has been given unto me.” Christ is currently reigning His kingdom, which shall increase and fill the entire world, and have no end (see Daniel 6:26, Acts 2:17, Revelation 1:1, 22:6). Christ will return to culminate human history, not to “rapture” the church so most of ethnic Israel can be slaughtered… that already happened, AD 70. Please fight this premillennial, dispensational heresy!

      • BudClark

“Heresy” has no place in the laws of our SECULAR Federal Democracy.

          • redwhiteandtrue

Agreed. So is etymology… where does the word “history” (from which you draw your facts) come from? Furthermore, does Mr. Bellamy’s original version identify the USA as a republic, or a democracy? That would be the relevant issue in my comment to which you have replied. Please try to stay with the rest of the class.

      • tchowski

Interesting that you would simply dismiss me as a troll. The definition of troll is someone who posts on the internet with the intent of arousing emotion in others. Isn’t that what this entire article is? It is intended for America-haters to bitch and moan to each other that a woman (and a BLACK WOMAN GASP) might one day run America. So really, whoever originally wrote this post is simply eggin you all on toward your basest emotions. Alright though, I’ll go. I see clearly that this is not a place for discussion or dissent. This is a website which exists entirely within the Republican “Information” bubble. Have fun stoking your hatreds. When you win an election, then you can start running the country.

        • Hank_Scorpio

Leave it to a liberal to bring up gender and race as the only reasons someone might have an objection to these 2 people running for president and vice president. When you speak of hate, you should be looking in a mirror….

If President Obama had done half of what Christie had done, and then issued a statement that his lawers’ cleared him of any responsibility, there’d be angry mobs of armed white people marching on Washington calling for his lynching. Oh wait, that;s just the Tea Party on a Tuesday. And ABC News wouldn’t be “reporting”

It is intended for America-haters to bitch and moan to each other that a woman (and a BLACK WOMAN GASP) might one day run America.

          +9 Governorships (30R / 19D)
          +10 State Lower Chambers (29R / 21D)
          +9 State Upper Chambers (29R / 15D)
          +14 Legislative control (Both chambers)(27R / 17D)
          +15 Full control (Both chambers + gov)(24R / 13D)
So, since Republicans control more state legislatures, govern more states and have the majority of Congressional district representatives, maybe you should re-think that “when you win an election” statement, neh?

          • RedSoloCup

From his profile, which is strangely not set to “Private”…

“I am a liberal gay man who lives in San Francisco.”

Says it all! No doubt a Pelosi voter…

        • A-Train

since Hillary’s name is over Michelle’s, is that raciss too?

        • No-Traits Malone

In which part of your baiting were you trying to engage in “discussion”? Plus, it does seem there is plenty of “dissent” here, as people dissent to the possibility of being presided over by the two people mentioned.

Are we supposed to deduce from your vitriol that you love every president ever elected? If so, do you do so with all your heart?

Plus, are you afraid of people willing to defend themselves, or own property? You talk of backing out slowly before people exercise a natural right (two, actually)…you do realize you can forgo those rights for yourself if it pleases you, correct? Plus, when is it wrong for anyone to exercise any natural right?

Please, provide us with your elucidations!

        • Scott

Hmmm! You are separating the two as a woman and a black woman. There seems to be a difference with you? Sounds RACIST to me Tchowski! To me they are just two disgusting liberal scumbags! So go away with your race baiting ass! Liberals! SMH

        • ExPat_in_Krakow

Thanks for illustrating the law of the instrument, as well as projection.

You blindly assume that people are against Hillary and Michelle simply because they are women, and one of them is black.

Certainly even you can find faults with these two people being two of the most powerful people in the world. If you can’t, it says a lot more about you than it does about us.

          • mike_in_kosovo

“If you can’t, it says a lot more about you than it does about us.”

You seem to have forgotten that conservatives urged Condoleezza Rice to run.
Myself, I’d have no trouble voting for Mia Love. She’s had more experience running things than Michelle and is much easier on both the eyes and ears.

As I was trying to tell Cuberly before she was cut off by a moderater who was too smart for her phishing profanity tactics, I think this was a personality slur. Wookei as a racial slur would make more sense for, say, Ethnic Iranians, southern Italians, me, etcetera 😛

Sanctimony/Hucklebuck 20never. I know how you find that to be some sort of curb-stomp wet dream, but frankly, nobody likes a humorless assclown and a hypocritical oozy preacher. Not while there’s a Cruz to be had to vote for. Oh yeah– I said Cruz. Don’t like it? Sue me.

Nothing says “women can do it all” and “women can make it on their own” like celebrating two women who are famous and successful because of their husbands.

    • ExPat_in_Krakow

Especially when one of those women stayed with a serial adulterer simply to further her professional career. At least Barack has never cheated on Michelle, as far as we know. OMG…after 10 years, I’ve finally managed to say (write) something good about him.

      • Gary Honeycutt

Well, BHO hasn’t cheated on her with women…

  • seant426

Cruz/Bush doesn’t sound very appealing, either. LMAO.

    • ExPat_in_Krakow

Cruzing for Bush sounds a helluva lot more appealing than an enabler and a hater.

      • plumberskid

Do you always choose your presidential ticket by how catchy their names sound on a bumper sticker? Sad, really…

        • ExPat_in_Krakow

I was responding to the original comment. I didn’t suggest that ticket, and you don’t know what ticket I would vote for.

The sad thing is that you weren’t smart, savvy nor clever enough to realize that. Nice try, though.

      • MumuBobby

Bob the Builder slogans have done well in the past. I’ve heard Hillary has folks watching Dora the Explorer and Barney for 2016 slogan ideas.

    • genes ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Nope. no more Bushes any where near the WH. Or Clintons, or Obamas, or Fords…Also won’t vote for a ticket with either Paul on it.
      Jindal/Luv has a nice sound.
To really tick of Libs and the Party elite, Haley/Love, or Love/Haley.

      *edited wrong Luv.

  • rogleecam

Ahhhh….no way! They would eat each other like fire and gasoline.

  • Jake Bradford

Wouldn’t that ticket be a lot like Freddy vs Jason?

  • Driver_S

Now that’s the scariest ticket I’ve ever seen.

  • ExPat_in_Krakow
  • ExPat_in_Krakow

Now that I think about it, who wears the pants in those families?

Bill Clinton, First Lady of the United States.

Barack Obama, Second Lady of the United States.

Anyway, there’s no way those two power-hungry narcissists take a back seat to anybody. Libtard pipe dream.

  • Marvin Nelson

  • Beawild

Hillary, yes. She was a senator for 8 years and the SOS for 4. Michelle, not so much. She has never ran for elected office.

    • Michelle ✓classified

So, you’re simply impressed with number of years with title held? What meaningful legislation did she write that had a positive impact on this country while she was in the Senate? You’re impressed with her four years as SoS? Can you name for me the diplomatic relationships she improved? Because facts have it that our relations and influence declined under her tenure. “toughest foreign policy issues of the day — Iran, North Korea, Afghanistan-Pakistan, the Arab-Israeli standoff — weren’t resolved during the four years. Some grew more intractable.” (LA Times). And what about Benghazi and her bold faced lies it was all about a YouTube video?

      • mike_in_kosovo

        Well said, Michelle.

        • Michelle ✓classified

Thank you. It’s a response any of us regulars around here would give. No tolerance for folks who are going to tell us she’s a good idea for POTUS just because of her years served in impressive titles. Tell me what she accomplished.

          • RedSoloCup

Beawild also claims to be a “Independent”.

      • Beawild

Benghazi? You people will never give up on that non scandal. LOL!!!

Nobody dies, fat RINO asshat possibly involved in abuse of office, at most a local story with no national security implications = BIG SCANDAL.
