Amen. And she fights like a girl every time.

Palin fired back at weaselly Piers Morgan on Friday, the day after he humiliated himself by falling for a satirical post on the former Alaska governor.

Palin’s full posting on Facebook:

Oh dear Piers, thank you so much for all your invitations to appear on your shambolic show, including the adoring message you sent. But is it still any wonder why I’ve politely responded that I’m too busy doing, um, er… pretty much anything to accept the invite? (At least I didn’t tell you to “get stuffed”.) And to all our British friends: we ask, what did your friends across the pond ever do to you to deserve your Piers?

The guts? To appear on Morgan’s abysmally-rated show? Hilarious!

It took him a while, but Piers eventually Googled the meaning of “shambolic” for a pitiful attempt at a comeback.

Why does everyone think it’s okay for big bully Sarah Palin to pick on a little sissy like Piers?

Piers still believes it was Sarah and not Tina who said that about seeing Russia from her house? hahaha What a loser. He’s no journalist, that’s for sure.

Not interested in defending. That battle is already won. We’re on to ENDA these days.

        • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

So, in other words, you have no intellectually honest way to defend gay marriage. Thank you for confirming it.

And you should be careful what you say about winning battles. The people who thought “separate but equal” won a battle, but wound up losing the war.

          • JoeMyGodNYC

Shrug. We won. End of story. Next battle…

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Then you’ve failed twice today, Joey. I could care less about gay marriage, but as I pointed out to your pal Skippy McSlapnuts, I love watching you “marriage equality” folks turn tail when confronted with unintended consequences of your simplistic “logic.”

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Leftists love to create their own reality to suit the situation. They believe in “marriage equality”…until you put them in a situation they didn’t consider where their “logic” fails.

        • tops116 ✓Quipper

Since gay marriage keeps pervading this thread, I might as well ask it: Did you support gay marriage before or after Dick Cheney did? And does it annoy you that Cheney is still further to the left on the issue than Barack “I’m open to the idea” Obama?

          • JoeMyGodNYC

I’ve supported marriage equality since the first case was brought in Hawaii in 1993. Not incidentally, Hawaii will legalize same-sex marriage next week.

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Ah, “marriage equality.” So, by your logic, I could force you to marry me or threaten you with a civil rights lawsuit.

Sadly I agree with you that is a very stupid nickname the right uses. I would never use it and if it wasn’t the idea of being too much of a censor I would delete it all the time I see it. • WilliamAmos

It is as stupid as well. The whole point is that you have to allow for name calling in politics. People have to have the ability to vent at their leaders. That is why those terms are allowed. Again stupid isn’t the same as offensive.

“Shambolic” is the adjective form of the term “shambles.”
Some shambles are more shambolic than others.
And some, as Pughe’s compatriots in Britain say, are an “omnishambles.”
Which, oddly, is also how they refer to Pughe’s career.

  • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

This will sound ignorant, but what is she going to do with a dead bear? I’m a little sensitive towards things like this. Bears are one of my favorite animals… :'(

    • BoscoBolt

Sarah and her family eat everything they kill. All big game harvested in Alaska must be reported to the state.

“We eat organic, we just have to shoot it first. And it comes wrapped in fur, not cellophane.” – Sarah Palin

      • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

Great to know. Food and self-defense should only be reasons to kill an animal.

        • Infinite_Indeterminism

In case of bear, a likely reason for hunting them is to keep a local population within reasonable limits. Otherwise, they would overwhelm their food supply and end up starving to death (those who didn’t migrate to another area, that might already have enough bears…).

Obviously, there could also be rogue individuals that would be endangering local people or cattle (unlike certain rogue people, who are only a threat to big-government addicts).

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

That seems like a harsh reason to kill them.

          • trixiewoobeans

Harsh for them when they’re starving…and harsh for the livestock the “rogues” kill.

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

Sounds like to me the justification of killing animals for sport…

Being in contact with wild animals is just one of the negatives of living near the wilderness. Likewise you get surrounded by a lot of liberals if you live near SF. lol

        • Corey Dennison

From what I understand of living in non-urban areas of Alaska, hunting to fill a freezer (or two) is pretty much a requirement if one lives too far from a store–it is very easy to be cut off for long periods of time in the winter.

          • Infinite_Indeterminism

There’s also a question of cost – many places, the only practical transport between home and “civilization” is a small plane… The result being that transport of the meat from, say, Anchorage, would cost several times the buying price in the shop.

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

Do you even need freezers in Alaska? lol

    • me

      And you’re a bear’s favorite lunch.

        Funny response me! LMAO!

        • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

I would caution you not to praise that commenter. I did a quick glance on his profile history. He’s a regular on American Renaissance, a RACIST site. I wonder if he/she knows the person running this site is a Filipina! xD

Edit: LOL, someone downvoted me for saying the truth.

      • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

        Okay… Snark points for you!

    • liberalssuck

Probably skin it, make a nice rug out the pelt. Give the meat to charity. It is also called conservation, keeps all the animal herds healthy, not that I expect any liberal to understand what hunters actually do.

      • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

Not a liberal, BTW… I’m not a hunter, that’s why I asked the question. Killing an animal just for a rug is a bit overindulgent… Like what BoscoBolt said above they eat everything they kill, so I’m fine with it.

        • Michelle ✓classified

I am the same as you. Avid shooter, own numerous guns, but I’m just not a hunter. I’m not adventurous when it comes to meat – I prefer to eat the standards and get it from the store. So, knowing I would never eat the animal I killed, I do not kill them. I have no problem whatsoever with my friends who do hunt, because they do eat the meat. Killing just to kill for a head mounted on a wall or a rug on the floor has never sat well with me.

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

We better be careful. We might be mistaken for PETA members! lol

          • Michelle ✓classified

Only by those who live in a black/white, cut/dry world. There’s a lot of grey area for some folks. I’m not the least bit inclined to be vegetarian, I LOVE meat…I just don’t have the stomach to kill, skin and gut an animal, so I don’t and won’t hunt. BUT those who do? More power to ya, I’m impressed. I won’t eat lobster because I think dropping a live creature into a pot of boiling water is horrific, it’s really upsetting to me, but I don’t go around trying to stop folks from eating lobster – have at it. Same goes for veal – I don’t eat it because of how it’s treated from birth. But if you love veal? Enjoy!

          • Infinite_Indeterminism

Actually, the shock of getting dropped into boiling, heavily salted water means the lobster goes from barely awake to knocked out in seconds. Trying to kill it by using a knife, is more likely to cause it pain…

And just HOW are calves treated in your corner of the world ?

          • Michelle ✓classified

Not quite sure what your deal is or why it’s not OK with you why I eat certain meats/foods and not others. My reasons are my own and they don’t have to make sense to you. I am not trying to push my reasons on others. It’s my decision and I bother NO ONE ELSE about their eating choices.

People I personally know have no issues whatsoever with what I eat and won’t eat and why I make those decisions. It’s really baffling to me that a total stranger on the Internet is attempting to argue with me about my personal eating choices especially when I am not trying to push them onto others.

          • Infinite_Indeterminism

It’s perfectly OK with me whatever you eat – I’m just curious as to the reasoning behind it… But OK, let’s just drop it right here.

My comments about possible reasons for bear hunting stand, though…

          • Michelle ✓classified

Fair enough. I don’t mind people challenging my thinking or reasons when I’m trying to get them to consider and perhaps take on my point-of-view or opinion. But when it comes to things that are my personal choices and I don’t push them anyone, it’s really odd to me when I’m challenged. It’s all good.

          • Corey Dennison

I’m glad this came up on this thread. The back and forth has been respectful and tolerant. Infinite and I see things through a different prism than do Michelle and Mr. Wrestling, and that’s good. It’s what makes the world go ’round.

What is different between conservatives/libertarians and the left is: even though you guys are against hunting, at no point did either of you even suggest its banning.

A rule of thumb between conservatives and liberals:
            — If conservatives/libertarians don’t like something, they generally will not participate in that thing.
            — If liberals/authoritarians don’t like something: BAN IT!!!

          • Michelle ✓classified

I think you misunderstood me, I’m not against hunting and my apologies if I gave that impression. What I did say was I personally am not interested in hunting and that I don’t like it done just for the sport of it. I don’t force others to share my views because that’s just how I’m made and how I was raised. With all do respect for your point, I also see Conservatives get pretty passionate about banning things with which they don’t agree. That’s a two-way street.

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

Yeah, I used to be a vegetarian, but meat is so f’n good. Now, I’m just half-vegetarian. Agreed on lobster, that’s why I go to a restaurant to eat it, to avoid that! I remember crying when my mom boiled live crabs a long time ago. lol

          • Sean Barrentine

Only time I ever cried doing that was when one of them got ahold of my finger. Blue crabs have sharp claws. It was a wonder I didn’t dump to pot of boiling water with the other 5 crabs over. That would’ve been bad.

          • Corey Dennison

People for the Eating of Tasty Animals…

            😉

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

Yep, i’m a card carrying member of THAT PETA.

          • Infinite_Indeterminism

I agree with you on trophy hunting being utterly stupid – but would like to add that there are also cases where a rogue bear (as an example) might need culling to keep people and cattle safe. Also, there could be a question of numbers as compared to food supply…

As for food – I tend to recommend deer meat. Properly handled, it beats beef any day of the year!

          • Michelle ✓classified

Rogue wild animals can be relocated far away from civilization. As for numbers, that’s what hunting season is for and I see nothing wrong with that, just make sure the meat is eaten – don’t kill for the sport of it (talking in general, not about you specifically). No desire to try deer. I’m happy sticking to beef, chicken and pork – call it conditioning, but I’m mighty OK with that.

          • Infinite_Indeterminism

And how far away is enough ? Taking into account that there are people many places in the Bush, and that we are not yet at the stage where we issue orders to the population at-large about where they have to live… (Not to forget, that bears can also migrate…)

          • Michelle ✓classified

“Taking into account that there are people many places in the Bush, and that we are not yet at the stage where we issue orders to the population at-large about where they have to live.” No, we’re not at that point and I hope we never are. I’m of the school of thought that if a population CHOOSES to live in close proximity to wilderness, they have no right killing natural inhabitants. Don’t want a bear or a deer skipping through your yard? Go live in NYC.

Please, I live in Los Angeles County – one of the most populated counties in the Nation. LA County is made of up several valleys that are defined by countless foothills and two National forests. Those who live in or near the foothills often have wild critters venture into their areas the people CHOOSE to live. Whenever possible, officials here tranquilize the animal and bring it back into the forest. We have no right to kill them just because the human population keeps expanding.

It’s looking like we’re not going to see eye-to-eye on this, and that’s OK.

          • Corey Dennison

Not always–whether due to logistical or financial reasons. In fact, depending on the state/county, it’s almost never done–at least where I’m from. Game Wardens have very small budgets.

          • Corey Dennison

I understand your sentiment–hunting is not for everyone. For some though, hunting–from quail, to pheasant, to deer, to bigger game–is an extremely important cultural phenomenon.

It is done for many reasons; but from my experience and knowledge, it is rarely, if ever done just for a thrill of killing something. It sounds corny, but there is a certain respect hunters have for the animals they hunt. A good hunter will never let or make an animal suffer–quick and clean kills are always preferred, and most often achieved the more experienced a hunter gets.

          • Michelle ✓classified

I am good friends with many lifelong hunters, I understand what they do and why, I was just saying it’s not for me and that I have no respect for anyone who does it for the sport of it. I absolutely understand the respect a true hunter has for it’s kill.

        • liberalssuck

The Palins are very good conservationist. They use everything they hunt. I myself do not like bear meat, why I would give it to the charities there. The pelt I would keep for a nice rug.

          • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

That’s great to know, but I rather Palin not take a pic of her game and brag about it on twitter. She killed the bear, at least respect the animal afterwards, by not being all “F*ck Yeah! Look at me!” about it. It makes her look like a hypocrite. She’s apparently pro-life, yet she takes a pic of a dead animal like it was nothing. I’m not against hunting in any way, only against behavior like that.

          • liberalssuck

Since you have stated you do not hunt, you may not understand she does in fact respect the animal. Why it usually is a one shot kill. As to why she took the picture to annoy Ole musket, well I have photo’s of me and my claims. I am sure other hunters have theirs as well.
I actually say a prayer of thanks after taking a deer and then the photo. Something about providing for your self seems to do the trick and if it is a nice trophy, well as I have said I have photos of me by mine and will have photos of my wife and son with theirs hopefully next year.

        check fire! check fire!

      • spaceycakes

I’m definitely conservative, but WHY would anyone want to eat a bear when chicken is easier to raise & kill?

        • Mr_Wrestling_XIII

You and me both, Cakes. I just find it weird, but to each their own. As long the animal is consumed for food and killed in the most humane way possible, It’s not an issue with me. I rather Palin not take a pic of her game…

        • Corey Dennison

Doesn’t taste the same as chicken. Plus bears provide more meat.

        • Rogue Cheddar

I find it is more fun getting naked on a bearskin rug than on a pile of chicken feathers, but that just me.

          • spaceycakes

well, that’s a different thing altogether!

          • Rogue Cheddar

Tru dat, but I’m not saying I wouldn’t do the chicken feathers if the lady insisted.

        • liberalssuck

I do not know. Some folks like it. I don’t why I would give the meat to a charity in Alaska. I like most everything but bear, I find it tuff and stringy, my preference only.

Piers, Sarah Palin may not be able to see the irony from her house, but she can see your declining ratings from it.

  • PhilipJames

    • JoeMyGodNYC

Probably not as many as Palin.

      • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Or your defense of gay marriage…

        • SpiffyMclure

As you’re a wingnut, I wouldn’t have thought it’s something you’re in support of, let alone so darn curious about. Why the fascination with gay marriage?

          • Thomas, Snarkmaster General

Because I love pointing out how the “marriage equality” folks don’t believe in it across the board.

Since Joey can’t offer an honest defense of gay marriage, want to try to succeed where Joey failed?

          • SpiffyMclure

Hmmm. That’s now four comments about gay marriage. On a thread about Sarah Palin.

Quite enamored with the idea, huh?

          • SpiffyMclure

Dude, why should anyone defend any kind of marriage to you? The boat has sailed. The debate is over. Finito. Judging by your ongoing fascination with the topic, that’s a good thing – when you’re ready, it’ll be available for your kind self.

Oh, and Thomas? Trying to make fun of a completely made-up account name on the intertubes? Kinda dumb. Even for a wingnut.

Well Piers, distinguished historical scholars have come out endorsing Palin’s statement regarding Paul Revere.

Experts back Sarah Palin’s historical account

“Sarah Palin yesterday insisted her claim at the Old North Church last week that Paul Revere “warned the British” during his famed 1775 ride — remarks that Democrats and the media roundly ridiculed — is actually
historically accurate. And local historians are backing her up”

    —————————————————————————————————————–
Even NPR confirms that Gov.Palin was right about Revere (interview of professor Robert Allison Chairman of history dept Suffolk university Boston)

“BLOCK: So you think basically, on the whole, Sarah Palin got her history right.

Prof. ALLISON: Well, yeah, she did.”

The LA Times concedes that Sarah Palin was right too

“You know how Sarah Palin said Paul Revere warned the British? Well, he did. Now, who looks stupid?”

Does he really think a school yard challenge is what will get Palin on his show? If she “has the guts”? Oh FFS Piersy, grow up man. Palin has more guts in her pinky finger than you do in your entire being. Childish challenges like that work for those interested in appearing on a tabloid show (like yours!), doesn’t work on an intelligent person who isn’t the least bit worried about you thinking she’s a coward.

Sorry Piers, surrender’s not in our nature. Like your country…twice.

  • Elizabeth Lipp

Piers only wants Sarah Palin on his show so that he will at least have an audience of over 10. The man is desperate for attention. He is about to lose his job. He will be unemployed in this country and England. As a non-citizen, can he get OCare? He can always try Canada for his next gig.

  • CobraJet428

Isn’t the New Scotland Yard waiting for Piers’ return to ask him questions re:phone tapping a dying 12yr old girl’s phone?

    • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Not exactly. The Judicial Inquiry that looked into that also looked into Piers’ shady past, but the two were not related. His phone hacking was of celebrities. Piers lied like, you’ll pardon the expression, a bearskin rug, but they can’t really nail him for it, not that, as long as he stays away, they’d really want to.

      • CobraJet428

        Thanks for the clarification.
But, as I understand it, there is courtroom evidence he’s dead-to-rights guilty of high-order scumbaggery…the kind he accuses his opponents of.

        • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

About twenty years ago, when he was a punk-ass kid in his late 20’s and the newly-minted editor of his fishwrap, he was feeling especially bullet-proof, and he got involved in a pump-and-dump, which the financial writer of his paper went to jail for. Piers’ wife was heavily-invested, but she theoretically had no complicity. She made a $#!tload of money on the deal, presumably selling short against the box once the stock took off as a result of being tipped.

Statute Of Limitations is run out on that one.

          • Infinite_Indeterminism

            “WAS” a punk-ass kid ?

          • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

It all depends on what your definition of “was” is.
If you mean he has been punk-ass all along, no argument against that from me.

  • tops116 ✓Quipper

I’m not sure which is funnier: that this all started because Piers mistook an obvious parody site for a legitimate news source, or that everyone rushing to Piers’ defense is only doing so because it gives them something to talk about besides the Obamacare implosion.

You have your facts wrong; as usual.

Sarah Palin gave many interviews; some with ABC , CBS ,Peter Boyer form the Daily Beast, CTV News , CNS NEWS , CNN, etc.

She went to India , Hong Kong, World Knowledge Forum in South Korea ,etc where she talked about the economy, the deficit, government spending, gun control, the environment, the rising cost of food, energy, Egypt and other foreign policy related issues. She also did some (successful) unscripted Q&A’s .

Other than with her FOX News Friends, when over the last two years has Palin ever given a sit down in depth interview? (And don’t mention her interviews with Breitbart’s Steve Bannon who was the creator, director, promoter and financier of Palin’s movie flop The Undefeated)

Obama, to his credit, gave a FOX News interview as recently as last month.

It is funny that you cannot link to an non-Fox sit down in depth interview that she did in 2011. Palin’s supporters were all saying in 2011 that the reason she wasn’t doing those interviews was because they were prohibited by her Fox News contract.

The fact is that she avoids interviews unless they are with ‘safe’ people.

Palin’s speaking contract even prohibits direct questions from audience members. Her staff has to read the question and address it to her.

The copy of her contract is here:

The Daily Currant is a satire site, but that didn’t stop Piers Morgan from gleefully tweeting out a Currant story attacking Sarah Palin, without noting that the story was untrue.

Piers Morgan criticized Palin for something that was in a satirical fictional article that was on The Daily Currant, and then his comeback to her bear picture references a satirical fictional skit from SNL.

So he can’t tell the difference between satire and truth, and he criticizes her intellect?

The Yuotube video Morgan links where Sarah is in Boston repeated a bit of history, is nonsense. Sarah had just finished an offical Boston tour. She repeated a bit of history most are unfamiliar with. People piled on her endlessly. Local news had the balls to retract. What she say in video is 100% correct. Piers Morgan’s smarmy offer to help her with history just as useless as his other opinions of America.

  • Louie75

Caribou Barbie bags a bear and then refuses to go on Piers’ show where she could really have a forum to go at it. Can’t she go on a news forum that isn’t Fox News?

No, she doesn’t want to give him the best ratings he’d ever have.

      • Louie75

That is because she cannot handle a high pressure debate. Just a take look the tons of video that prove this fact and why this individual will not appear before any news special that will not give her softball answers.

Other than that, your response was pretty ignorant.

        • Corey Dennison

Keep making up your own reality, bub. If you believe it, you’ll feel better about yourself.

As far as ‘high pressure debate’…check out her debate performances in Alaska. As you say, there’s ‘tons of video’ proving she can handle ‘high-pressure debate’, and that you have no idea of what you’re talking about.

    Piers Morgan has a show…?

why does todd palin and his family enjoy federal health care courtesy of the native American act of 1976. yes 100% covered for todd and his children and there children; thought they did not like federal health care

    • Corey Dennison

      Todd Palin is 1/8th Inuit.

    • Infinite_Indeterminism

Corey Dennison pointed out one obvious fact – I’d like to post one obvious question:

Has Mr Palin ever made use of this health care coverage – or are you merely attacking a private citizen for what a federal law contains ?

  • RedSoloCup

    Sarah-1
    Musket Morgan-0

  • harleyjack

what difference does it matter that todd did or did not use the native American health afforded him by his genes from his eskimo family. Sarah already admitted her family t would sneak across the border and use the socialist health care that her family enjoyed. And while I am at it why does a multimillionare (courtesy of people) have to kill a bear for food when she can shop at sprouts here in Scottsdale Az for quality food. Kill a bear REALLY!! they smell of socialism, taking advantage of the system yet turn around and Yell NO Healtcare. REALLY SARAH AND TODD????

    • Infinite_Indeterminism

What difference ? For one thing, it is a fact that when you reproach a private citizen for what the federal government writes in a law, it is incumbent on you to show relevance.

      You have shown none.

As for trips to Canada, which did not happen by “sneaking across the border” (I think you’re confusing them with certain Hispanics coming across the Southern border of the US), are there any evidence that they did not pay for their Canadian health services ?

And before you answer – the geography of the area was (and probably still is) such that a Canadian town with relevant services could be reached by train much more easily than relevant Alaskan towns with similar services (a ferry crossing being just the beginning of the trip…). AND, since the travel happened by train (WITH paid tickets…), they were all identified at the border, so you can be guaranteed that they did not sneak across that border… (While typing, I also started wondering about one other thing you might enlighten us about: Would the Palins even qualify for that kind of services, when they were not resident in Canada at any point (visits do not qualify as legal residence when it is a foreign country) ?)

At some point you might start comprehending that it is “Think, THEN post!”, not the other way around…

Addendum: I wrote “the Palins”, I should have written “the Heaths” – this was Sarah’s family, before she was an adult, and while they were living in Skagway.

      • Corey Dennison

Don’t bother with facts. When it comes to libs, and Palin-bashers in general…facts are useless.

  • marion vega

why should she aid his failing ratings? she didn’t build that (awful show)
