In April, Louisiana Sen. David Vitter began reading through the Gang of Eight’s amnesty bill, tweeting his concerns as he made his way through the 844-page monster. Fast forward to June: Once again, Vitter is going to actually read the legislation to find out what’s in it. This weekend, he’s scouring all 1,170 pages to find out just how much of the Corker-Hoeven border security sham would make Ted Kennedy smile.

Vitter’s feed is one to keep an eye on this weekend before the cloture vote next week.

    Hartford Courant:
“Dodd and Kennedy were also reported to have made a ‘human sandwich’ with a waitress at La Brasserie, another Capitol Hill restaurant.”

We all know how that waitress felt now that Reid & Ted are making “human sandwiches” out of all of us with this amnesty bill.

  • Joe W.

Any republican who votes for this monstrosity MUST be primaried out of office at the 1st opportunity. Every traitorous one of them. The dems?? Screw ’em.

    • NixTyranny

If Rubio runs again for Senate, I pledge to vote for the best Conservative to Primary against him. If he runs for President, he has zero chance for getting my vote in FL Primary, a vote I hope can go to Ted Cruz.

      • Suzyqpie

I read somewhere that Allen West is considering running against Rubio.

        • NixTyranny

Col.West would have two votes in my household if he does.

          • catb55

            Two here also!

        • kay1968

          Two votes here as well.

          • Scott Anderson

I don’t even live in Florida, and I’ll vote for him twice.

We need military expertise and military credentials in La Casa Blanca. Allen West can extemporaneously speak on a multitude of topics. Any time I’ve seen Allen west speak (YouTube not in person) he has a depth of knowledge. Not like Pres 0bama who has displayed numerous times that his fund of knowledge is woefully shallow. Most recently and painfully at Brandenburg…paraphrase GWill on the Brandenburg speech. Someone wrote that for pres 0bama and he stood there and read it.

Cruz is another reason I am grateful to be a Texan…

        • NixTyranny

Sadly, Cornyn must be embarrassing for you more often than you’d like and K. Bailey H was no prize, either. But, Cruz is a gem for us Conservatives and I like Reps Gohmert & Stockman, too.

          • AwakenNow

Cornyn’s Amendment required verified 90% enforcement. Corker’s Amendment requires NO verified enforcement and grants green cards for VISA holders. Cornyn is not an embarrassment.

Sen. Cornyn is a good Senator. I’ll vote for him again and take him any day over feinstein or durbin or anhy other left wing wannabe dictator.

          • JR_Tolls1

I thought that was in Georgia?

Saxby’s retiring so it would make sense.

    • CapeLady

The problem is if this bill passes it will be too late to vote them out – it will be the last nail in the coffin of our republic! We need to KILL this bill!

  • carla5731

At some point even Congress is going to have to realize that rewarding criminals rather than celebrating law-abiding citizens is doing more harm than good.

    • Michael Anderson (WB)

Well if Congress is made of people with criminal tendencies why would they realize that.

    • Spatial Awareness

They won’t find out until after a civil war.

    • sb

      I’m sure they realize it.
The question is, why are they voting for it anyway? It has to be more than just for votes. They have to know Americans are really ticked off, so votes can’t be it.

  • Suzyqpie

The immigration bill is another 1170 page debris field.
We need a citizenship test at our plethora of welfare offices. I am for helping Americans but if WDC thinks that we can finance any third worlder who finds their way to our shores, they are wrong.

  • BadGirloftheNorth

No wonder Extra Dirty Harry is rushing the vote, huh? Big bucks in it for him, that have nothing to do with border security or illegal aliens.

    • 3seven77

When dirty Harry first went into the Senate he didn’t have a pot to p!ss in. Now he’s a multi-millionaire. Must be all that good-for-Harry “legislation” he’s been passing all these years.

      • BadGirloftheNorth

He and his brother or brother in law– makin’ out like bandits- Wait they ARE bandits.

      • CRITman

Harry Reid is bought and paid for by the Chicago/Kansas City Mafia since back when he was a State Senator and then Chairman of the Gaming Commission. The rent on his permanent home at the Ritz-Carlton is equal to his annual salary, about $200,000. Many years ago I knew connected folks that told me all about him and I worked for the bank in AZ that handled many Mafia transactions and, back in ’46 financed The Flamingo Casino & Hotel. As my Dad said many years ago, “Harry is as crooked as a dog’s hind leg!”.

        • trixiewoobeans

I liken him to Mr. Potter, the crooked old banker in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

  • CO2 Producer

Harry Reid drew pocket aces in the #immigration agreement. Made his tourism (Vegas) promotion agency permanent.

Must be nice to be able to get first dibs on those new recruits.

We’re relying on Vitter’s tweets to learn about these details when we should be able to read it for ourselves. Before MONDAY.

The reason the system is broken is because the government is not following through on existing laws. Passing more laws, changing the rules again, increasing the bureaucracy and making it even more complex, becoming more lenient with people who are plainly aware that they are breaking the law, is going to make the situation far worse, not better.

The politicians in favor of this legislative Godzilla don’t give a damn about you, America. Not the Democrats. Not the Republicans. All they’re thinking about is what they can personally get out of it, how they can win the next election. They have to be told that if they vote for this, we will never vote for them.

    • Marvin Nelson

I have told my representative and both Senators this very thing. Only problem is that the two Senators are retiring, so they don’t give a damn about what we think. I hold out a tiny bit of hope that Rob Woodall will listen to his constituents and vote against this travesty. If he votes for it, I will vigorously campaign against him.

      • Sally Morris

True, Saxby couldn’t care less about us. I’ve been in touch with Woodall,Isakson as well. We’ll see.

  • TocksNedlog

An “amendment” that is 300 pages LONGER than the bill it is ‘amending’?

    They’re laughing at us.

    • ranchdancer

It should be called the Hocus POKE-us Act to Screw America….lies and BS on every page.

  • trixiewoobeans

How the hell does this stuff get in these bills? Who thought they were a good idea? Why don’t our government representatives give a hang about this Country and it’s citizens?

    • Joe W.

Why? Because we continue to re-elect the sumbitches, that’s why…

  • TocksNedlog

On his radio show yesterday, Mark Levin noted that one of the provisions in the amendment says that resident aliens who overstay their visas will NOT have to ‘go to the back of the line’ for citizenship.

    • ObamaFail

More than likely they will be rushed to the front of the line.

      • Marcy Cook

Especially if they are muslims. Gotta rush those people through so we can have more terrorism to scare everyone so we can take away more rights of law abiding citizens.

  • Marvin Nelson

Holy crap! They could at least give us a cigarette; I always like a smoke after I’ve been screwed.

Page 4-6 of Corker-Hoeven-Rubio substitute of #Gangof8 bill lets wife beaters,….

Well, now at least, we have some idea what caused Speaker Smeagol to comment that “Waitress-Sandwich” Kennedy, (That Ol’ Lie-On of The Senate™) would be smiling up from his well-heated vacation spot.

  • Marvin Nelson

Where can I find a copy of the Corker-Hoeven Amendment? I’d love to give it a quick read.

    • JR_Tolls1

If only we could read all the bills, the people read more bills then John Conyers and that is his job….

    • mapache

It is not a stand alone amendment. It is scattered and hidden within the body of the original bill.

  • mapache

Hope Rubio rethinks this….this is not a solution and those of us who are conservatives in Florida will start looking for a new Senator.

    • JR_Tolls1

I HIGHLY doubt Mr. Rubio added those provisions, He does not seem like that type of person and those ideas are clearly left wing.

      • mapache

Rubio maintains support of the bill even with the provisions. He should have taken a stand and voted against it.

  • cscape

The “sausage” in this instance has been left out in the sun! (POISON)

  • Mike Foley

What I fail to understand is how it is possible for lawmakers to make a law that allows anyone to break a law without being considered a law breaker.

  • Spinmamma

Thank you Senator Vitter. Your despicable colleagues are going to pass this travesty anyway, but at least you are one voice letting us know how bad it is.

  • catfood

Call all senators and fill their mailboxes , And take Monday off work and call their staffers , if we don’t stop this on Monday an illegal will be taking your job

    • aniee

I suppose all the federal workers will keep their jobs. Wonder how some of them are going to feel knowing they have family members out here in the community that got screwed big time.

  • dba_vagabond_trader

ANYONE who votes for this is a traitor, flat out.

  • AwakenNow

“[I]n the first year, the bill (S.744) would admit nearly 1.6 million more temporary workers than currently allowed. After that initial spike, the bill would increase annual temporary worker admissions by more than 600,000 each year over the current level – an increase four times larger than the one called for in the 2007 Bush-Kennedy proposal (about 125,000).”

Then add the 12 million already here illegally PLUS “Chain Migration” of 30 to 60 million more immigrant family members PLUS 25 to 50 million VISA holders per the Corker Amendment = KISS – Middle Class Jobs, America, the Constitution, and Bill of Rights – GOOD BYE.

Read “Immigration Scam Exposed” for more details not reported. link:

  • muckraker

Where has this 1200 page amendment been hiding all this time, behind the Whitewater billing records?

  • Melody Canterberry

I am ashamed to say that Corker is my Senator, so any call I make is going to fall on deaf ears. I am proud to say that I didn’t vote for him, or for our other RINO, Lamar Alexander.

  • Maxx

    A liberal’s wet dream.

  • OldmanRick

This entire bill is nothing more than amnesty for approximately 30 million illegals, their families, relatives, and friends.
These rino senators who signed onto this fiasco need to be replaced in 14, 16, and 18. It will take until then to clean out the self serving, bottom feeders in the senate. How sad that we can’t just drench them in tar and feathers and assist them out of DC on a splintered rail now.
Actually, any time a district becomes less than satisfied with its representative or the state’s voters feel the same about their senators, they can call for a referendum and toss these self serving porkers out of office.

  • chetnapier

If every bill were read in the record these thousand page bills would stop

  • David William Reid

What is wrong in the liberal democrat brain? Something is really really wrong!

  • cmerlo1

When I first heard about this bill, I thought it might be a good one, as I think Rubio’s heart is in the right place (at least when I hear him talk about it). The more I read about it, though, the more I realize just how bad it is. I’m not for rounding 11 million people up in cattle cars and dropping them off in Mexico, but I do think we need to get the border locked down above all else. Screw the ‘cultural sensitivity training’ and all the attached liberal BS.
