Fox News refuses to play Eric Holder's game, won't attend off-the-record DOJ meeting

Politico and WaPo may be eager for a hefty helping of “please-don’t-report-on-this” donuts, but Fox News isn’t interested in being summoned to his glazed charm offensive. Fox joins the Associated Press, New York Times, Huffington Post and CNN in refusing to attend a meeting with Attorney General Eric Holder if it is off the record.

Or as the DNC’s Brad Woodhouse would say, Fox has forfeited its “right to gripe.”

More from Fox News:

Fox News joined several other major media outlets Thursday in refusing to send a representative to a meeting with Attorney General Eric Holder on the department’s surveillance of reporters if Holder continues to insist that the session be off the record.

Michael Clemente, Fox News’ executive vice president, decided that Fox News will not attend the off-record talks. Fox News had been invited to a Friday session at the Department of Justice headquarters in Washington.

Of course, sending James Rosen, the Fox journalist targeted by the DOJ, would have been kinda fun.
