On Wednesday morning, Dem Rep. Elijah Cummings urged his colleagues to refrain from partisan attacks during the IRS hearing.

That didn’t last long.

“Bush” … drink!

Noted Boooosh! blamer Rep. Elijah Cummings just couldn’t resist mentioning that former IRS chief Doug Shulman was a George W. Bush appointee.

Really!

Cummings, write this 100 times on the blackboard: The IRS conducted a partisan attack on conservatives. The IRS conducted a partisan attack on conservatives….

Now now, don’t make him go all Bart Simpson on us… 😉

      That illiterate moron can’t write.

    • lainer51

      can he write?

  • ObamaFail

Let’s not make this partisan, unless we can use it to deflect all of the blame to the previous President like we do everything else!!

    • conservativechick

Makes me wonder about other cases where the IRS information might have been used to intimidate or attack.. like Meg Whitman and her maid, or Reid accusing Romney and several other instances. Wonder how wide spread this has been over the last 4 years?

  • ceemack

At least Shulman didn’t take the Fifth.

    • grais

Bet he wishes he had. What a mess.

  • Steve_J

Might’ve been appointed by Bush but he stayed for two years past Bush. And found time in that two years to visit the WH 118 times.

  • Socal71

What the IRS did was 100% political and was done solely to suppress conservative groups. They weren’t ‘bi-partisan’ when targeting Americans…

  • neoface

Obviously Cummings is a product of affirmative action! Not terribly bright.

    • rinodino

Cause affirmative action means you’re a dumb little black kid…. You idiots make it so easy and yes what you said Is terribly ignorant, but keep ’em coming its a great way to expose the fringe

      • LightSabre

Hey Rino! Wondered where you’ve been. It just wouldn’t be Twitchy without our fave snarky lib troll.

      • Ronald Green

The ‘fringe’,… as in you lib/prog trolls? You’re like Lenard Pitts, everything is ‘racism’, all you white people are racist. And ‘us/them poor black folks are always the victim’. Time for you to call your propagandist and get some new talking points. You’re getting to sound like a broken record.

      • neoface

Your words, not mine!!!! But, I would love to have a 2.0 average and get into medical school.

I think the implication he is making is that because Cummings is so stupid, the only way he could have gotten where his is would be due to AA.

He never implied that ALL people of any race, creed, color, national origin, gender, or any other “protected group” is one way or another.

He also did not imply that AA was for “dumb little black [kids]”, however, you did infer that, which shows more about your thought process than his.

      • mike_in_kosovo

It *is* a great way to expose the fringe…after all, *YOU* keep showing up, don’t you?

      • El Guapo

View some statements of CBC members. They sometimes seem terribly uneducated and barely literate. Hank Johnson for one. Maxine Waters for another. There are many other examples.

      • lainer51

Cause tea party means you’re not relevant. You libbys make it so easy and yes what you said Is terribly ignorant ( you used the words “dumb little black kid”) but keep ’em coming its a great way to expose the bleeding heart, whining, lying, liberal loonies.

I will point out that the left is very effective at demonizing good and decent people. The very name Bush makes them howl like hyenas.

In contrast, the names Wiener and Clinton are uttered by the elites without cracking a smile. As if neither one of them were disgraced and immoral and unworthy of a shred of honor.

The democrat party is immoral. But you knew that.

    • Clete Torres

      Democrat. Immoral.
      Interchangeable terms.

  • Jimni27

I can’t keep up with all of these scandals, so maybe someone can help me out -Is Shulman Republican or Democrat? Has he contributed to the Obama campaign? If he is a Democrat doesn’t that just show Bush was able to “reach across the aisle”?

    • mmoore229

Research indicates that he is not registered as either, but DNC is the only place that he ever donated. http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/qind/

      • Jimni27

I did end up looking it up and that’s pretty much what I found. There should be rules against an IRS person contributing to campaigns IMHO

    Rep Cummings: “Blame Bush.”

    Rep. Pelosi: “Blame Bush.”

    Sen. Reid: “Blame Bush”

    Liberal Democrats: “Blame Bush”

    BAAAAAA! #sheeple

Bush: “Do you miss me yet?”

  • Gallatin

It was already made partisan by the IRS.

  • 2ifbyT

If Shulman was a Bush appointee, why is he still in the IRS? Because Obama wanted him to dirty work. So simple, Stevie Wonder could see it.

  • Ronald Green

He forgot to mention that Shulman is a registered Democrap.

  • GaryTheBrave

“Mr. Shulmam, during your tenure in the Bush administration how many Democrat or liberal or progressive individuals and organizations were targeted for audit by the IRS?”

This question should have been asked to shut up Rep. Cummings.

  • rockerdon

Elijah Cummings…The’ step -and -fetch- it’ of the Democrat party~

  • marssnw

    What a hypocritical tool.

  • $27789750

Cummings so full of waste matter that’s it’s a wonder he doesn’t bubble when he speaks.

    • TocksNedlog

      He does.

  • TocksNedlog

Rep. Cummings, Bush was ‘a long time ago’ — before Benghazi, even!

Obama, the Thug-in-Chief, and his band of radical minions are completely out of control. Their goosestepping Gestapo tactics know no bounds and they now clearly respect no authority other than their own.

“And what country can preserve its liberties, if it’s rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” –Thomas Jefferson, 1787.
