As Twitchy reported Friday, Turkey’s interior minister reportedly said that the deadly suicide bombing at the U.S. embassy in Ankara, Turkey, was the work of a domestic left-wing terrorist group. The bomber was identified as Ecevit Şanli, a member of the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front, or DHKP-C.

On Saturday, DHKP-C claimed responsibility for the bombing on a website tied to the group, according to Reuters. The statement called the United States “murderer of the peoples of the world.”

More from Reuters:

The statement was posted next to what it said was a picture of the bomber, dressed in a black beret and military-style clothes with what appeared to be an explosives belt strapped around his waist.

Background on DHKP-C from the Washington Post:

The DHKP/C is a Marxist-Leninist party and terrorist group that strongly opposes any NATO or U.S. influence over foreign policy in Turkey. For the past few decades, they’ve targeted a series of Western and Turkish officials, professors and businessmen with suicide bombings.

Leftist group takes responsibility for embassy bombing…

Interesting that Hillary Clinton took responsibility for Benghazi during her congressional testimony last week. Her questioners kept pressing her to clarify what she meant but she played the coquette.

Oh my gosh, is it possible that all of us have completely misinterpreted the sense in which she meant that statement?

I’m going to say no, based on my belief that if she’d been the mastermind those guys would still be alive.

Cue the American left’s claim that this is proof of the current administration’s ‘centrism’ in 3, 2, 1 . . .
