Another brutal Drudgetaposition today as unemployment matches the level it reached in 2009 when President Fore-ward took office. Obama still isn’t working:

Economic stagnation? Huh? Can’t you just let him eat his waffles? Or slurp his ice cream?

Too bad it’s not shark week in Kaneohe Bay.

According to the Hawaii Reporter: “While the President and his friends pay for their own rental homes, taxpayers pick up the cost of security and waterfront housing for the Secret Service, Navy Seals and Coast Guard as well as staff accommodations at a plush beachfront Waikiki hotel.” The HR also estimates that it costs taxpayers $3,271,622 for a round trip to Hawaii on AF1 so we’ve already paid one and a half times that with at least one more flight, unless Mooch Antoinette needs her own plane to fly back separately with the two little princesses.

  • salvagesalvage

It’s so strange, when unemployment and the deficit was going up under Bush I don’t remember Drudge or other wingnuts mentioning it.

Huh, I wonder why these became issues under Obama?

    • Andrew Young

Well it could be that Bush didn’t cost the US taxpayer $7 million dollars for vacation 2-3 times a year and after 2003 didn’t play another round of golf until after he left office. Or it could be that Obama is insisting that the US taxpayer make sacrifices and yet he has yet to make any visible sacrifice.
Does that help with your rose color vision of the world?

      • salvagesalvage

Ha! Ha! Yes! Golf is the only way to take vacations!

And how much is that Iraq war over WMD that never were still costing the taxpayer again?

Oh and I think it’s the mega-rich that Obama is asking to “sacrifice” but the mega-rich owner of FoxNews has obviously convinced you otherwise.

        • Andrew Young

Actually Saddam did have WMDs, he used them against his own people in the 90s and continually played./indicated that he had them. Most of Congress agreed with Bush that there were WMDs present in Iraq.
Don’t come on here and play all outrage over wars in the Middle East when your beloved Obama continued them for 4 years and even jumped into the middle of a civil war we had no business in. Obama has treated being President like a big prize package that allows him to spend our money while insisting on that we sacrifice.

          • salvagesalvage

Actually those weren’t the WMD that the Bush administration was going on about and Dubya said so himself:

            http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-11680239

By “continued them for 4 years” you mean winding down and how many American soldiers died in that civil war again?

Facts! I know as a wingnut you hate them.

And where is this insistence from Obama that you “sacrifice”? Are you a billionaire?

So sad, you cheered the invasion of Iraq, insisting that it was going to pay for itself and now the bill has come due and you don’t want to pay. Oh wingnuts do you ever think?

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

Because it says in the article he said “also” that does not preclude the additional inclusion thereof of the other proposition that they were included in the definition overall since additionally it was a stopping of the continued proliferation of such. That is a jump in logic and a presumption. One does not absolutely negate the other. Do you have a real name or were your parents sanitary engineers that suffered from stuttering?

          • salvagesalvage

            the continued proliferation of such?

Yeah, there was no nuclear weapons, no portable bio labs, no drones, no infrastructure, no anything.

But you are a wingnut, facts don’t matter.

The real question I am trying to figure out is are you like this on purpose? You understand that Bush lied and just like war / hate Muslims so much you don’t care. Or are you genuinely deluded in a total state of cognitive dissonance wrapped in a tight bubble of doublethink?

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

Another presumption from the ‘person” who lacks the courage to be identified as the one behind their opinions. I am not a wingnut. I do not proscribe to a ideology per se and am not a member of any political faction. I have beliefs that would be described as both left and right. And I am no defender of Bush. He did some good and some bad. The latter however, does not make me blind to the overt wrongs of this current administration. You are a simpleton if you truly believe bush lied, and all others on the lib side were innocent dupes. (Where in did I proclaim bush’s complete innocence by the way? I was only commenting on your misuse of an article to present “fact”.) What I am interested in knowing is if you really believe that the libs who supported this action are stupid? And you support them nonetheless? What does that make you, no name?

          • salvagesalvage

            Ah the pseudo-intellectual wingnut; a uncommon sub-species.

Of course you don’t think you’re a wingnut, wingnuts never do. The complete lack of self-awareness is a hallmark.

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

HA! Funny that you should refer to ‘pseudo”. I was thinking that your pseudonym is probably quite telling, though you yourself might not realize it, or want to do such. Usually, people select a pseudonym that represents how they think of themselves. My impression is that yours represents a person who tries to present to the world that they have value, but inside you feel like you are nothing but a piece of junk. You come to sites where you know the values are not yours and argue every point as if only your point of view could in any manner be correct, to what exactly, improve your self image? Are you the product of a broken home? Anger is certainly evident in your commentary, and the name calling is boorish. I would guess you are around 22-29? The avoidance is another signal. You did not address one question presented. But I guess that is because you are not a pseudo-intellectual, what ever that means.

          • salvagesalvage

And that’s why they found the WMD in Iraq and that it didn’t cost billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives to find out! That’s also why wingnuts never screamed about deficits and unemployment while Bush was President.

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

Those actions came about from both parties that are part of a strong federal government with no accountability. Should we then continue to make it bigger and give it and them more power?

          • salvagesalvage

Yes! The Democrats and the GOP all got together and said “Let’s invade Iraq!”

Oh wingnut you are only concerned with the growth of government when the guy you voted for doesn’t win the election.

Imagine if it had been President Gore who started “Homeland Security” and the “Patriot Act”? Wingnuts would have been bald from all the hair yanking and screaming.

And the TSA, isn’t it neat how when Bush was President is was important to grow this vital front line defence and then when Bush wasn’t President the TSA became a bunch of jack-booted child molesters!

See being a wingnut you don’t care about policy or cause and effect you just care about winning an election and living vicariously thought that victory. Hence your rabid hatred of Obama which has double with the last election.

Which is cool because angry wingnuts are even funnier.

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

You continue to make assumptions about me that are wrong. I didn’t like the expansion of the government under bush. When did I say that? I don’t like a strong federal government at all. I prefer that power be returned to the states. As for the TSA, I think they need better training. However as to your perception, the manners of searching have become more intrusive recently. Whether or not why they were less so previously has anything to do with bush, I can’t say. If I am angry by the way, then what does that make you, enraged? By the way, you are hilarious. I wish there were more things that obama would do that I could see as being promising for the future, but I don’t have a lot to hang my hat on currently. Taxing the “rich” more isn’t terrible, but if they are going to use a “progressive” system, then they don’t go nearly far enough up the scale. First the higher rate is kicking in much too low, second, the increase in rate should continue to progress up the scale. Why should a person with 50 mil pay the same rate as a person with $450,000? Why draw the line there? Or why not just raise the rate more on the mega-rich. Gee, I wonder. The mega rich in effect just got what they wanted, for the ‘rich” to cover more of the burden. If the rate were made higher for the higher ups rather than just a little higher on the lesser rich, more revenue could be collected while taxing less people. What was done makes no sense for the vast majority of Americans. Hurting the less ‘rich” hurts the middle class more. But I am more of a supporter of a consumer tax anyway. Do you still believe obama is not protecting his mega-rich friends? Come on. Wake up. I think you are the pot that likes to call the kettle black. Everything is bush’s fault? You can’t be that much of a simpleton. I guess maybe then you are the real wingnut? Are you typing in front of a mirror? Or maybe it is that self hate. You can’t cure that by projection you know.

          • salvagesalvage

            > I didn’t like the expansion of the government under bush.

Yes, wingnuts say this often now but weird, they never said a mumbling word while Bush was doing it.

            Gosh, I wonder why?

Psst, look at history of America during the last 100 years, notice when taxes were high for the rich how much better EVERYONE did.

But those are facts, wingnut no like facts make brain hurt give angries!

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

Again, you are putting words in my mouth that I never said. And why are you psst me about higher taxes? Did you not just read what I said? Are you thick or something? Are you absolutely determined to argue with a person even if that person agrees with some of your beliefs, but maybe has a different way of looking at it? So everyone has to think EXACTLY like you, or they are a wingnut? Obviously, you are not in the least open minded. Best of luck with that hate issue. I sincerely hope you are able one day to get past it. Take care.

How about Afghanistan? It is an absolute disaster. The country’s government is more corrupt then ever and we continue to provide it millions upon millions of dollars without demanding or ensuring they are making progress in their restructure. We aren’t winning. We aren’t even trying to win anymore. The Taliban has gained strength there. They have infiltrated the government and built their military strength. Why are we still there? It has been 10 years. Over the last four years under obama, things have gotten even worse and we have made no progress there over that time. What has he done to make the effort better? Troops are still dying, for no reason. Do you have a problem with that, or is that okay?

          • salvagesalvage

            >How about Afghanistan? It is an absolute disaster.

It sure is and if when he invaded if Obama had… oh wait… that was Bush too.

            >Over the last four years under obama, things have gotten even worse and we have made no progress there over that time.

Ha! Ha! Yes! Things in Afghanistan were perfect then Obama became President and it all got worse!

This is some wonderful wingnutting here, when Bush was President pointing out failure in Iraq was traitorous, aiding and abetting the enemy.

The reality is Bush made such a pig’s breakfast out of Iraq there’s nothing anyone can do to fix it. Obama has been winding it down and that’s pretty much all he can do. But don’t worry, the Taliban will take over again, host another bin Laden who will eventually do something that will demand another invasion, hopefully the President won’t be an idiot supported by lunatics voted in by a mix of the two.

          • http://www.facebook.com/dan.cappiello.5 Dan Cappiello

Wow, you are willfully disingenuous and I am obviously wasting my time trying to have an intelligent discussion with you. You are making lame excuses. Sad really. I guess what you truly care about is defending your guy no matter what. You use the troops who die to rail against bush but you care not for them when your guy is the culprit. Shame shame. Trying to use people’s death to bolster your outrage for only your cause. There isn’t a word in the English language that describes that the depth of that sort of repulsiveness.

          • salvagesalvage

So that would be you won’t look at the history of American taxation and economic cause and effect?

Your lines are tired- “Well being a wingnut I know it’s hard to learn things.” Do you know any others/ And clearly you can’t read since I said: “Taxing the “rich” more isn’t terrible, but if they are going to use a
“progressive” system, then they don’t go nearly far enough up the scale.” Um, how is that not agreeing with history oh higher taxes on the more wealthy? Man, you are so blinded by your hate that you can’t read the words in front of your face. And the history you are pointing to I am sure is all based on only “your” “facts”. Black fades, white gets dirty. Clearly, you obviously are brainwashed, and you can’t see anything other than what you are told to believe. Your under control. Now you do what they told ya. Sad. Again, good luck.
