Idaho Republican Mike Crapo was arrested last month and charged with driving under the influence after he failed a field sobriety test. Today, he entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to a $250 fine, one-year license suspension and 180 days suspended jail time.

Time for some oh-so-predictable bashing of Mormons and Republicans? You betcha!

Crapo has issued his apology via Twitter as well.

Therein lies the difference between a Liberal and a Conservative:

A Liberal will apologize by saying, “I’m sorry IF you are offended,” whereas a Conservative will say, “I’m sorry THAT I offended you.”

If you still fail to discern the huge difference between the two, here’s a hint: the former attempts to distance one’s self from his/her own actions, and put the blame on the offended party for being offended; the latter is about accepting personal responsibility for the offense.

Sen. Crapo’s poor judgment notwithstanding, he has ‘manned up’ and will accept his bitter pill, and will hopefully learn from this. A Lib would rush to blame someone else — faster than Ted Kennedy at last call.
