Like paragon of reason Michael Moore, CNN’s Howard Kurtz is all wee-wee’d up about Glenn Beck’s “Obama in Pee Pee” art. Who else, he asks, would submerge something in a jar of fake urine and call it art?

Evidently Kurtz has misplaced his thinking cap. Again. Sometimes he’s a little slow on the uptake.

Of course, unlike “Piss Christ” artist Andres Serrano, Beck didn’t use real urine. And he didn’t seek NEA funding either.

Meanwhile, the liberal artist who depicted President Obama as a Christlike figure adorned with a crown of thorns managed to have a reasonable discussion with Beck. How ’bout that?

Beck may not have “elevated discourse” to Kurtz’s satisfaction, but he is working to elevate those in need this holiday season. His auction of “Obama in Pee Pee” was pulled by eBay, so he’s taking bids via email.

I can hardly wait to see Howie lose on Celebrity Jeopardy! one day just like all the other newscasters have. (Especially if Sean Connery ends up winning, Trebek.)

  • Michael Hussey

Keep sinking to their level and playing on their terms. At least you’re having fun, right?

    • gekkobear

      Sinking to their level?

Only if you think Obama is equivalent to a religious icon.

Oh wait, YOU DO… never mind.

    • Kabong30

I honestly felt the same way initially, but the reality is that it simply brings focus to what gekko said here. People look at Obama in a worshipful way. They see him as a savior. We need to point it out and this is effective as far as I’m concerned. If liberals raise a stink (which they are) it makes them hypocrites (which they are). After a little analysis, I’ve decided this is a win-win. I’m not high on Glenn Beck, but this was clever.

…you do realize this was after Jamie Foxx called BO “our Lord + Savior” at a awards show… and Beck (as well as others) made the immediate connection between BO…Jesus Christ…and a jar of urine… Some of us conservative art lovers actually saw the original in Brooklyn… which is coincidentally where Howard is from…

        • Kabong30

Not sure I’d either of these as “art” but I was aware of the connection and it resonates all the more because of it.

I assume you are not a subscriber, did not watch the show, and have no idea as to the greater context of protecting all speech-not just the speech you approve of-right?

    Glenn won, again.

It’s always fun to poke the aged and doting, toothless Ymir (20 Million Miles to Earth) that is the liberal media with a stick.

Just to hear them bellyache, howl and whine so pathetically.

  • Hello Jerry (D)

Howie Kurtz in piss sounds good.

  • my preciousss!!

his brain is immersed in pee fluid, is why he can’t think Right.

  • TexSizzle

An advantage to Glenn auctioning it himself after eBay pulled it is he doesn’t have to pay them anything out of the proceeds. They screwed themselves; look at the size of the commission, or whatever they call it, that they’ll be missing out on.

Who the F is Howard Kurtz?? And why should we care??

  • Penny Robinson Fan Club

I think this should be an installation piece inviting viewer participation.
    /Except I’m pee-shy.
    //Penny’s laughing at me now :- (

  • Penny Robinson Fan Club

Come to think of it, this should feature a nice big picture of the Prophet Mohammed. Peace be upon him, heh heh.

    • OutspokenRed

I think you meant to say, “Piss be upon him.”
