Big Labor and supporters of the Black Friday walkout at Walmart stores are all about “solidarity” with allegedly abused employees of the retailer.

But all that social media solidarity doesn’t seem to be hurting Walmart’s sales. Despite the best efforts ofย leftists like Robert Reich to convince shoppers to boycott the retail giant, the Christmas shopping season looks like it’s off to a great start at Walmart stores.

Sorry, union organizers. Better luck next year.

Update:

Walmart estimates no more than 50 workers walked out on their jobs on Black Friday. Heckuva job, unions!

  • DeBaliviere

Hey, SEIU. For an effective protest, try this: Douse yourselves in Wal-Mart gas and light your crack pipe. The colored lights and smell of roasting pork will be spectacular!

    • Elaine

Not ONE employee in our store walked out? They all said they love their jobs? I don’t get this. Who are these “protestors if not employees?”

      • Hiraghm

Not in ours either. The “protestors” are paid agitators for SEIU, at a guess.

        • jackejack

Keep Obama in President….You know? He give me a phone,he gonna do more.

        • matt miller

is it possible…..i mean could it be….. what if they are……..outside troublemakers……..or they might even be…….you know……………
…..comunity organizers…. :O gotta love it…. second massive union fail in a week.

          • Joy Daniels Brower

I spoke with several Walmart associates at two different stores – on Thanksgiving and a few days before. All of them weren’t bummed in the least having to come in for Thanksgiving – they get holiday pay and they know the stores are open 24/7 – that just comes with the territory. The Union activists need to butt out – these workers are just grateful to have a job!

          • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

Good to know! They’ve always been pleasant, and don’t seem disgruntled at all.

        • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

You are probably right. Liberals will do anything to try and prove their “point”.

      • torpedoman2002

The unions are known for bussing in protestors in order to swell the ranks. They are more than likely out of state protesters brought in thinking they were going to swell an already large protest. I’m so happy they are disappointed.

        • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

          Me too!

      • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

Must be a concoction of our fabulous media. Yeah, if Wal-Mart is so bad, why do so many people want to work there?

    • matt miller

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! now thats a protest ill watch.

    • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

      That’s kinda yucky.

  • Hiraghm

Didn’t see no protesters as I left this morning. Told one of my bosses to give me a call if any union organizers showed up, so I could come back and have me some fun.

  • https://twitter.com/Poppie61 G D Woodman

that’s right you fools stick with the union, how did it work out with the twinkies union oh that’s right 18,000 people out of work

    • http://www.facebook.com/brett.mcmicken Brett McMicken

let’s not forget the non-union workers from alabama who were turned away from assisting the hurricane sandy victims.

      • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

Outrageous. I wonder if the folks left to freeze in New York will ever get it. Interesting that our MSM is not focusing on that, they way the did on the Katrina folks. Racism, anyone?

    • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

Do you think they’ll ever get it?

      • matt miller

when all the social programs crash and the food runs out………..

    • http://twitter.com/who_me_too RadicalRebelWhoMeToo

Only 5000 of the 18500 were union members at Hostess… 5000 assholes brought the other 13500 down. What would you do if you were one of the 13500? I know what I’d be doing….. >:-]

  • Paul C.

Of course the SEIU will lie and say thousands came to Walmart to protest.

    • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

SEIU won’t have to lie about it. ABC, CBS, NBC, MSLSD and CNN will lie about it for them.

      • conservativechick

This is so true. We will all fall into line with the intimidation used by this regime, one way or another. I feel very defeated lately. No matter what we do or how many victories we accomplish, it seems BO & Co. wins in the end. I should say the USA loses in the end.

        • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Don’t give up yet! We have to be a pain in their arses right up until they haul us off to the “camps!”

          • mdtljt

…to quote the original, not the remake…WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • mdtljt

…to quote the original, not the remake…WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • GaryTheBrave

Either way, Elaine, someone’s gonna get it in the end.

          • lainer51

            literally!

        • Teresa Davis McCormick

Elaine!! I was feeling sad too today. Until I saw this story. Cheer up, this crap can’t last forever. Be strong.

    • GaryTheBrave

They came to protest by handing out green leaflets with pictures of dead presidents on them, or plastic business cards that have protest phrases on the front that say “Visa” or “Discover.” /sarc

    • Teresa Davis McCormick

this is why social media is so wonderful. The truth about any situation is there. You just have to turn on and find it. Imagine if all we had to rely on for news was the network news and newspapers. We would be screwed.

  • freeinaz

You think people get unruly at black Friday sales, wait until there are food lines, doctor lines due to govt. healthcare, or gas lines. We should all be really scared seeing scenes like this for stuff you don’t really need to survive.

    • Jack Deth

      Hi, freeinaz:

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were customers being mugged for their just bought groceries and cash in the parking lots of local Giants, Safeways and other food chains come late winter or early spring of 2013.

      • matt miller

i hope your wromg….but i fear your right……….more to follow

    • http://www.facebook.com/brett.mcmicken Brett McMicken

the ozombies will be told that it’s bush’s and romney’s fault and they will believe every word of it.

      • matt miller

isnt it great the way its now “romney’s fault”…..even though he was never president??
p.s. i predicted the blaming of mitt 6 weeks ago. gwb must be sittin at his fishin hole laughing his azz off, watchin Oblamer spin!

        • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

You just have to hope that people will wake up to this lunacy that’s going on around us.

          • matt miller

i pray your right, but these headlines dont encourage me. if this is christmas…whats it gonna be like when things get even worse??
thank GOD Jesus is truly in charge and not us

    • http://twitter.com/JLG1956 Jerome Goolsby

      Absolutely right

  • $30423294

Small numbers aside, if you have to pay protestors to show up, it’s not an uprising.

In fact, if you have to pay them to be there, that’s pretty decisive proof that they don’t agree with the things you’re making them say.

It’s a little like prostitution, getting paid to pretend you’re being passionate about something you actually find disgusting. That’s why many of the people engaging in these activities couldn’t stomach doing it if they didn’t get liquored up first.

  • Liberal Hater

The SEIU can go fuck itself. Anyone who walks out of their job should be shit-canned.

  • Joe W.

Baaaaa….baaaaa…..Just look at all those sheep, grazing amongst the flock in search of an empty cash register from which to be fleeced. While I am glad that Wal-Mart is successful in the face of the union goons, I simply shake my head in bewilderment as I ponder the utter slavishness of the masses. Might as well get used to it, though. The unemployment lines and lines in front of the soup kitchens and community clinics will surpass this insanity. Thank your neighborhood liberal douche nozzle for this, y’all.

    • http://www.facebook.com/brett.mcmicken Brett McMicken

i was in walmart on wednesday and almost passed out: i picked up an item that said it was made in the u.s.a.

      • Joe W.

That’s because the cost of union labor makes goods produced in the U.S.A. much more expensive than elsewhere. And Americans, like ALL capitalists, will buy things based upon cost as well as quality. Simple as that. And since the economy is global, you either compete or you don’t. You cannot have it both ways.

        • http://www.facebook.com/brett.mcmicken Brett McMicken

i know. i was just snarking!

          • Joe W.

            That’s cool, my friend…..I’m just a bit testy, I guess….;-)

          • http://www.facebook.com/brett.mcmicken Brett McMicken

            i know how you feel!

  • Maria Seeger

I haven’t heard of any strikes actually taking place in Texas where I live, but my son-in-law’s cousin who lives in Austin said that when she went to Walmart, she saw state troopers on duty there. Texas is a right to work state, so it’s possible any of their walk-outs could find themselves out of work.

    • eick74

At my local wal-mart, we had a strong presence from the local police department, but it was more keeping the crowds in line, in fact they had one officer who was controlling traffic into the section containing the DVDs and video games.

  • Jack Deth

    Tactics and Strategy: 101.

When there are far, far more anxious customers than measly, whiny Union slobs in a crowded, noisy environ. It’s best for the union slobs to shut up, quietly eat crow and do their job!

Especially when those customers show a propensity to go to ‘Knuckle Junction’ with other customers for any perceived slight.

    • Lizzy Reiley

Union slobs didn’t realize that even the liberals that claim to hate capitalism probably camped out in line at Wal-Mart in search for the same deals as other regular people. They hate capitalism until it benefits them.

  • HARP2

    PROTESTORS ?

I saw more people at a Sandra Fluke rally.

    • TomJB

      LOL Winner!!!!

    • lainer51

      HA HA

  • http://www.facebook.com/brett.mcmicken Brett McMicken

heard a protestor on the radio saying something about walmart trampling on people’s rights. how does a place trample on your rights when you voluntarily went there to work in the first place and agreed to their terms of employment? want a better job? go find a place owned by a liberal, since they have all the answers.

    • lainer51

the only trampling going on at Wal-Mart was by those trying to get in the door first

    • Bill Gryan

Liberals are all about tolerating relationships between two consenting adults, unless that relationship is a productive one involving employment. Then it becomes their business.

    • http://twitter.com/Cronkstairs Connie Fowler

My answer would be to get educated so you have more choice. I’m pretty sick of people who think that lower-skilled jobs deserve the same rights and benefits as those jobs that have required many of us to get ourselves educated at our own expense.

    • http://twitter.com/who_me_too RadicalRebelWhoMeToo

This is what I tell them…. NOBODY is forced to work at WalMart…… Then I get crickets.

      • matt miller

you had to bring truth into the argument didnt you………. :)

        • http://twitter.com/who_me_too RadicalRebelWhoMeToo

I can’t help it! I gotta stir the pot with TRUTH & LOGIC. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Sonya A. Willis

I’ve been finding footage online (YouTube, Ustream) and it looks like it’s the Occupy pigs who are doing the protesting with the signs, chants, etc. not actual Wal Mart employees.

  • r_coplin2001

I would call my sister up but i bet she is hard at work at a Wallmart store now.

  • Lizzy Reiley

I love how the protests didn’t even include Walmart’s own associates. I guess Walmart’s employees saw exactly what a union can do to ruin a good job and they said “Hell with that I don’t wanna be the next Twinkie”

  • http://pinterest.com/j0s1395/ Josephine (D)
  • lainer51

Get Back to Work, you slackers!

  • Teresa Davis McCormick

Here’s a question for you. What Union are the people paid to protest in? lol

  • Teresa Davis McCormick

So these professional protestors that are getting paid to do this, what Union are they in? LOL

    • Teresa Davis McCormick

said this twice cause I thought it didn’t go through the 1st time. sorry. :)

  • http://twitter.com/BrianCM1969 Brian Merritt

So glad I don’t shop at Wal-mart. Worst people ever, no manners!

  • matt miller

maybe the 5 or 10 sad as s occupooper/seiu protestors were trampled by the massive crowds there to shop and wallmart employees were so busy restocking the shelves and counting money that they didnt notice! :O :) ๐Ÿ˜‰ MWUHAHAHAHAHA!!

    • Joy Daniels Brower

Good one!! TOO funny… And on Saturday, the bodies of the protestors are found in various odd places around the parking lot – and some even in the store!

      • matt miller

        clean up on aisle 12!

  • Joy Daniels Brower

I actually went to Walmart Thanksgiving night to pick up a couple items – totally oblivious to the timing of my visit (7:45 PM – 15 minutes before the sales inside began!) But it was fascinating – people were orderly, calm, reading their Walmart tabloid for sale details and generally very organized in extremely long lines! No question, these were VERY serious shoppers, looking for a myraid of terrific sale prices!
I think WM wasVERY smart to start everything early,, ’cause it took a lot of pressure off of those awful early AM hassles OUTSIDE the store, as in years past. They still had crowds on Black Friday, but I imgaine they were down somewhat from last year – although sales for the two days must CERTAINLY have been up!

  • Yvonne Diehl

What a pathetic bunch of morons union workers are…Are you such a lously worker that you need to pay a group of thieves(unions) to help you keep your job? They steal your dues and use it for conventions , huge parties with lavish entertainment, food and contaminated hookers..Did you ever see a union official driving an old car? But I bet some of you do….They make it so hard on companies with there demands that the companies go out of business and you fools are left with your fingers up your noses saying “”Duh..What happened?””Unions don’t care if they ruin a company because they will start up with another bunch of fools at another company..Pathetic..If you don’t like your job go back to school and , get better educated and then you will be able to get a “”REAL JOB””

  • Seewetoldu

Unions are drying up. They have to infiltrate any business they can to try to stay afloat. Not in this economy. People need jobs….not unions.

  • Rodney Brungardt

Wal Mart may not pay much but it is a job and they are not getting hand outs from Obama and his ilk. Maybe that is why the unions are upset, they want more of us to be slaves to the Government!!!

  • http://turophiles2cents.com/ Steve Downs

Follow the money. The Walmart ‘protest’ was never about Walmart’s associates, it’s about Big Labor bosses trying to pad their own pockets confiscating ‘dues’ from people.
