Hopefully Russell Simmons’ entourage has the smelling salts handy. On Friday he tweeted his absolute shock that icky conservative parents like Michelle Malkin would encourage their children to learn self-defense.

The article he links on his Global Grind website is titled “Really?! Paul Ryan Supporters Show Off Their Daughters Touting Guns (PHOTOS)”:

For Christmas, little Liza Ryan unwrapped a Remington 700 .243 junior rifle. While liberals voiced their disapproval, conservatives showed their support on Twitter. Conservative pundit Michelle Malkin tweeted that she too takes her twelve-year-old to shooting practice.

In response, Republican parents and grandparents proudly began tweeting pictures of their little girls holding guns, hunting and shooting.

Teach little girls to hunt and shoot? What kind of animal does such a thing?

Here’s one of the oh-so-horrific photos Simmons’ site featured (without bothering to credit the person who tweeted it):

Malkin and other proud parents celebrated teaching children to use guns responsibly after anti-gun zealots seethed at Paul Ryan’s purchase of hunting gear for his daughter. But Simmons wants you to know he wouldn’t dream of empowering his daughters to protect themselves like those shocking conservatives.

Evidently he’d rather his daughters defend themselves by uttering “om” over and over.

A Twitchy reader points us to Simmons’ favorite song:

  • J.N. Ashby

Because when you’re being raped breathing and focusing inward makes it not happen!

    • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

And when you close your eyes you can’t see them, so they aren’t REALLY there!

    • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

That doesn’t matter anyway because if it is a legitimate rape, a girl’s body will never get pregnant, so there is no reason to resist a man who is raping you. Hear that altar boys? Republicans say don’t resist the men who are raping you at the catholic church. But it’s not gay.

      • Love of Country

The Catholic church and public schools do need to do a far better job of screening out liberal predators like (you?)… chances are our children depend on it.
I mean Barack Owebamao may be the most pathetic, dishonest, anti-American and worst president of all times but at least he’s not a rampant sex fiend and disgusting, shameless, dishonest and regrettable serial adulterer like Bill Clinton and JFK, right?

        • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Or Newt. OR Rush. Or any number of republicans who have been caught having affairs. Larry Craig. What about Herman Cain?

          • Brent Guthrie

What about Herman Cain? No actual proof of adultery was ever produced. In fact, all allegations just seemed to magically disappear when he dropped from the race.
Democrat smear strategy: Proof is never really necessary, just the seriousness of the charge or the quantity of charges levelled should suffice to achieve your ends.

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Yeah. Ain’t it funny how all those Axelrod chicks just went away when Cain withdrew from the race.

          • Brent Guthrie

Funny wasn’t the word I’d use, more like predictable.
Herman Cain was my choice for Republican nominee. The guy reminds me so much of my stepfather’s dad; the guy was a real decent man.

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

Sorry. I should have said pathetic instead of funny. I’d still vote for Cain right now. My state GOP here in Virginia messed around with the filing process last fall and only Romney and Paul made the ballot for the primary. Granted it was the candidates staff that let them down, but I was POed at our GOP here and sat out the primary.

But now that it’s crunch time I’ll vote for Romney even if he dragging a corpse up the Capitol steps while eating a live kitten.

          • sgb1

We liked him too. Still like him but they were terrified of another black man running and, so, went after him.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

No. He went after himself. He destroyed his own campaign.

          • Mary Kilbride

You know what? You are absolutely right. What happened to them? Why have they not spoken since this all happened? They were afraid of Cain! They wanted him out of the race. He was a threat to them because he was not afraid to speak out. You are absolutely right, and this is true…anybody that runs against a liberal is going to have to put up with being trashed. That is a fact and anybody can look back at elections to see for themselves to know this is true.

          • Alan Larsen

Yep, Chicago Politics at it’s finest. Just like the Romney 47% video that has all of the DemocRATS wetting their panties. Secretly AND illegally recorded, with missing segments like the famous Nixon tapes and somehow the countries second worst president’s grandson is involved. You just can’t make this stuff up!

          • Mary Kilbride

Right. Jimmy Carter’s son, and nobody cared about the link there. Nobody brought it out. I saw a video today from a man who is not afraid to speak that talked about how the Republicans are going to have to get tougher if they want to help the country get out of this dictatorship! Because there is so much going on and as he said, the media is the enemy of the American People, because they no longer look for truth….they are in the tank for Obama and there is nothing that can stop that. They cover what they want to cover, they ignore little things like the coverup of the embassy attacks, and they make very big issues out of things that are NOT issues when it is the Republicans. Wow…I don’t know if America can overcome this or not, as long as any of us run scared of presenting the truth where it needs to be presented.

agree if you are outta the way sling the mud at someone else

          • Mary Kilbride

Yes! That is exactly what Obama does…. Michelle Malkin calls it a game of SQUIRREL! Anytime there is something that is a negative, a true negative of Obama and his administration, you point in the other direction and scream SQUIRREL! You are absolutely right and since you mentioned no names, I just KNOW that you were speaking of Obama, right? I mean, isn’t that how we play this “game”?

          • Mark Riggan

the democrats dont let the truth get in the way of their agenda

          • Debbie Oswald Brewster

Oops, sorry Brent….I was ticked off so I replied to Michael Hampton before I realized you had already responded with info about Hermann Cain. Great minds think alike…

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Not true. Those allegations are still there and they are moving forward. You just don’t hear about it because no one cares about Herman Cain.

          • Jeff Adamo

Much like they did to Clarence Thomas. Dems cannot stand an “uppity” Conservative black person.

There were many allegations of affairs during the election of Bill Clinton. He never claimed to be righteous. Herman Cain was claiming to be on a moral high ground in his discussions of many issues.

Herman Cain was such a problem for Obama He had his Media dogs dig up all this Sex stuff and then when he dropped out it all just disappeared.. funny huh… Herman would have challenged him on the issues and taken much of the black vote..

          • Jeff Adamo

The Dems have a long history of digging through candidates’ sexual history for something to embarrass them with. They couldn’t find anything on Romney, so he got the nomination. Now they have to say he’s too rich and out of touch. You can’t please those left-wing lunatics.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Actually, if you read, you will find that those women came forward on their own. And you can try to say that it is all lies, but the facts say that this man was a womanizer.

          • Debbie Oswald Brewster

Hermann Cain was accused of sexual harressment but the claims came without any facts to back them up. It was all a ploy to get rid of him during the primary. Funny how he had so many conservative supporters, but then, that eliminates the left’s claim all of us who are conservatives/republicans are racist.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Actually, there were so many facts behind the claims. Those claims are still being investigated. He settled with that woman and gave her $45,000. He also gave another woman money. Those are facts. Please read.

What the ****? What are you talking about? And how did you bring this to the Catholic Church?

        • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

I was commenting on the rape comment above. Catholics raped children and then paid the rapists and shielded them from prosecution. When I think of rape, I think of the Pope. It’s a knee jerk reaction. So they said that while being raped, you should meditate. I said that with the republican view of their being degrees of rape, that they needn’t worry about rape because they won’t get pregnant. Then, I made the connection that if you don’t have to worry about being raped, then the republican message is that you shouldn’t resist rape. Then, I looked at the republican base of catholics and figured that republicans are telling altar boys to not resist being raped since it won’t result in any prosecution or punishment. They should just accept it. See? Is that clearer?

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andrew-Fry/599638184 Andrew Fry

Catholics vote for the Dems. Just like that systematic protector of child abusers, the teacher’s unions.

Conservatives on the other hand would like women to be able to defend themselves.

          • J.N. Ashby

Also, Kennedy was a Democrat. In fact, he was the first Catholic president, and we all know the tremendous hard-on Democrats have for Kennedy.

          • Jessica Grace

Also Kennedy was a Jackhole…taking God out of schools have made the country so much better…NOT!

          • J.N. Ashby

I couldn’t care less about god being in schools.

To say you “couldn’t” care less implies that you do care. 😉

          • J.N. Ashby

Uh…no. To say you “could” care less would mean you care enough to be able to care less. To say you “couldn’t” means there’s no way your levels of care could be any lower. “Couldn’t” COULD mean that I care, but that I can’t bring myself to care less, but it doesn’t. I emphatically do not care about god being in schools.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

I don’t know why you would want the government teaching faith to your children. If I am not mistaken, you don’t believe the government is very good for us. So why would you want the government to teach religion to your children. Also, kids can pray in school right now. You can pray anywhere you want to. Even out loud. You just can’t force others to do it with you. See the difference?

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Um…then why is the catholic church pushing it’s members to vote republican and why did the RNC bring catholic issues into it’s platform?

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002109532283 Jillane Kent

Likely due to the vilification of their stance against abortiofacients and the Constitutional overreach that the HCA of 2009 represents to that stance. Please show me where the Catholic church has specifically told their members how to vote, by the way. I doubt you can because no church would jeopardize their tax exempt status by doing so. On a related note, why is it that you single out the Catholics in your imaginary quest to find manipulation of the members for electoral sway and ignore the many stories of black baptist ministers who are advocating voter anstension due to the recent gay marriage support?

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

I am not attacking them. I am telling you the truth. Dolan paid priests who molested children tens of thousands of dollars and protected them from prosecution so that they could start a new life and molest more children. It is a fact. Verifiable. And he is the head of the American catholic church.

Michael, saying that all (most liberal democratic) Catholics are rapists is like saying all blacks & latinos are thugs and gang members. You, sir, are a moron.

          • Mary Kilbride

Wowwww..I can see how things get so messed up Michael did NOT say that Catholics are rapists. Please go back and read his post again. He said that Catholics mostly vote for Democrats and then he said that Conservatives like to teach their children to defend themselves…none of which is a general statement of truth, except it IS true that Catholics DO vote democrat, by and large, but it is not just conservatives that teach their children self defense. At least not in all…I’m sure that people from both sides do that. Just READ posts before you respond and get it wrong. It’s like the childhood game of telephone! It gets changed so much that nobody can see the truth.

          • missmissy68

@mary Kilbride: he said, “when i think of rapists, i think of the pope.” None of what he said it coherent. I’ve tried to read it several times & it doesn’t make sense. He’s making sick & disgusting statements about things that happened 30-40 years ago.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andrew-Fry/599638184 Andrew Fry

No, I said that. Michael DID say that Catholics are rapists. Like a wise person once said, “Just READ posts before you respond and get it wrong. It’s like the childhood game of telephone! It gets changed so much that nobody can see the truth.”

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

I didn’t say that they were all rapists. But, if you support the church, then you support what they do. Just like the RNC is now supporting Akin’s campaign. They support what he said.

            So you support NAMBLA?

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

NAMBLA only exists on conservative blog comment logs. They have been denounced by the gay community and honestly, the only time I hear that word is on sites like this one or WND or ONN or FRC. If you are going to throw them in my face after they have been denounced repeatedly, then I will say that you must be a member of the KKK.

NAMBLA only exists on conservative blog comment logs.

You sure about that? I am absolutely not at all saying that you and the wider gay community support them, but it’s foolhardy to think that NAMBLA isn’t out there.

          • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

Wiki is now a conservative comment blog:

And why not? The KKK has been denounced repeatedly, and has even been proved to have been started by Democrats…. So in addition to you claiming I stand for what everyone in the Republican party has said, may have said, is saying and will say, you’re going to lump me in with the KKK.

Why are you commenting on this site again?

          • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHY_xOj2M_g PistolsForPandas

Yes, you totally did say that Catholics were rapists.

Catholics raped children and then paid the rapists and shielded them from prosecution.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Is the word ALL in front of the word CATHOLICS? No. What I said is absolutely true. Catholic priests molested children and then the leaders of the catholic church protected them. Moved them to new pastures so that they could molest more children, and then gave them tens of thousands of dollars for them to start over in a new town. Then Dolan himself laundered $350,000 so that those greedy raped children who did get justice from a court of law couldn’t get their hands on it. Dolan is the leader of all American catholics. Therefore, if you support the church, you are supporting those actions.

I didn’t say all catholics are child rapists. But the church, meaning the organization. The bishops and cardinals and even the pope all have blood on their hands from this scandal because of how they handled it. I just will never understand how anyone can continue to give them money and listen to what they say because of the things that the church as an organization did.

When I think of rape, I think of the man who stripped me of all self-esteem, scarred me for life, and stole my innocence. I wish I’d had a gun. Joined the military and learned how to empower myself the right way. You’re an a**hole for linking this issue to rape, religion, or republicans. You’re a moron for speaking for republicans when you have no idea what they’re thinking. That’s because they’re thinking. And finally, The jump from guns to religion to the Pope and then back to rape leads me to believe your brain isn’t firing on all cylinders. But liberals are really outing themselves as the least intelligent. And yet that same logic is used against gay people. Hmm.

          • vinrod

Here is what is interesting. There is such a thing as “Legitimate” rape. It means, did it actually happen. In today’s day and age a woman’s “word” is no longer enough. There better be proof. I know that will upset many but I stand by my word. If my wife were raped I would be in a non-stop quest for the evidence that proves my wife’s word as true. The Justice system today does not have that luxury. My apologies to all for going off topic.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

No. What they meant was that there is “legitimate” rape where you get raped. And there is “statutory” rape where an older person has sex with a minor.

          • Jeff Adamo

Thank you for explaining to the brain-dead out there what was meant by “legitimate rape.” It was a poor choice of words, but the meaning was clear to anybody who is not a leftist wacko. There are a lot of false rape claims and attempts to label as rape many acts that are not rape. The libs just stick their fingers in their ears and pretend they heard Akin say that some rapes are okay.

          • http://twitter.com/sejohnson66 Shawn E. Johnson

So you took a sarcastic comment about meditation vs guns as a means to prevent rape and connected it to an idiotic statement made by ONE republican? If you say rape makes you think of Catholics you are either an atheist that hates religion or you are catholic and a victim. See how I connect things?

I am neither. And that statement is just the latest in a long string of terrible statements about women and their bodies that republicans have thrown out there. Here are a few.

          • Steven H

And 2+2=27.6. That makes as much sence as what you’re attempting to say. A group of preditors infiltrated the Roman Catholic Church and acted against its teachings and you judge the Church based on that. One nutter makes the “legitimate rape” statement which was condemed by everyone else in the republican party but it’s a republican veiw acording to you now. Makes perfect sence when you’re completely deranged.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

No. I judge the catholic church on it’s RESPONSE to the rapists in their midst. Rather than suffer embarrassment, they protected the molesters and then paid them. That’s what is disgusting.

Heavily Catholic states are Democratic states. Care to explain that? Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy were serial mashers: both were touted at the Democratic Convention of Vagina Carriers.

Actually, that makes sense. Just as Dems only see race, never individuals, they only see women as vaginas. Vaginas can’t afford birth control; you ever see one with a bank account? Thanks, that cleared that up for me.

@twitter-18085291:disqus As a “Right Wing, Bible and Gun hugging, Whacko, Republican”, I wish to go on record as saying, Every rape victim, male or female, should have the training and the ability to resist effectively. If, as a result of that resistance, the perpetrator should lose his/her life, too bad. Look at it as saving the tax payers for the cost of the trial and incarceration of someone that probably can’t be rehabilitated anyway.Just my opinion.

          • gitarzan57

ALL Catholics? Do a littel research, Michael. Sure, SOME (a minority) of Catholic priests were HOMOSEXUALS (you guys are the heros of the homosexuals, right?) who preyed on young boys. Their are also HOMOSEXUAL females who prey upon young girls. You’re a bigot, Michael. Admit it. You hate Chrisitans in general and Catholics in particular. I was an altar server from 1965 to 1972 at Our Lady Of Angels Church in Woodbridge, Virginia. All our priests were terrific mentors who never made a move on any of us. Kiss my Roman Catholic ass (both cheeks, please, as we were taught to ALWAYS turn the other cheek!).

          • Hal Fast

Many teachers in the school systems do the same thing Michael. There is evil everywhere and sinners everywhere so there are sinners and evil in every industry Michael, much more so on the left and with it’s secular humanistic ways that everything is relative, and thinks there is no God or morality, so Man is the ultimate authority and so we have a huge mess.

Btw Michael, why did it take secular man up until 1492 to discover the earth was round? In the bible, it states the world is a sphere (round) and it was written thousands of years beforehand. Also Michael, scientists (proposed athiests) discovered the earth rotates around the earth and is held up by nothing, i.e. nothing holds it in place that they know of. If the scientists would have read the bible Michael, they would have found that God said the world goes around the sun and is held up by nothing.

You know that scientist that got the noble prize for making some machine to try to see what actually makes matter? What did it cost, a gazillion dollars or something like that? And they still can’t see what makes matter but know it’s there mathematically.

What a waste of money that could have been used to help the poor and abused here in the US and abroad, you know why? Because again, all they had to do was pick up a bible, and God said, what I made the heavens and the earth from YOU CAN’T SEE! Got it now commie? :)

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

If the Bible clearly states those things, then why did the catholic church persecute Galileo when he dared to commit heresy by saying that they world rotates around the sun? And since you are talking about wasted money, how about the millions upon millions of dollars that “christian” organizations have spent to fight marriage equality. I bet a lot of people could have been helped with that money. Right?

I don’t believe that any democrat candidates for any office have said that they are waging a race war or class war or have said that they are for denying the right of self defense to anyone. Nor have they themselves claimed to be socialists. Those are all labels that you put on their ideas for policies. Akin ACTUALLY SAID those stupid comments himself and then stood by them when it was pointed out that what he said was not only offensive to women, but it was also medically incorrect. See? Different.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

So the man who didn’t listen to them and allow republicans to bring out a new candidate that could actually win will suddenly listen to what his constituents say? Really? And I won’t even point out that your criticism of his opponent is listening to her constituents.

          • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

If I recall correctly, there wasn’t time to bring a new candidate. And by the way, ‘Constituents’ refers to the people Akin will be representing. Not the Republican party. It’s been pretty obvious that Akin, despite his comment, has the support of said ‘constituents’.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

(S)he wants us to say that what (s)he does is okay, and we won’t, and that just sticks in his her craw.

          • DoseofReality

You’re a horrible example of a conservative, and I am ashamed to know you call yourself such. You are a hateful person. I cringe to know that when I identify myself as a conservative, I am identifying myself with a group that has the likes of you in it.

No, you’re not compassionate, and frankly, that makes you a sad human being. The venom you spew out (your username is apt) is shocking. The fact that you refer to Michael Hampton in no other manner than insults speaks to your lack of intelligence and your inability to relate to a person on a respectful level. I assume this makes you feel better to lash out against someone you can’t control, against someone you see as a threat – to you, to the values of America, however your closed little mind paints it. Shameful behavior.

I don’t condone homosexual behavior. I don’t condone the lifestyle. I fully believe it is a sin that will be punished by God. But you would never, EVER find me speaking so hatefully to someone who identified themselves as gay. It is obvious to me, however, that you have completely obliterated the concept of “hate the sin, love the sinner” from your hate-filled, vitriol-spewing mind.

Mostly though, I feel sorry for you. Your inability to be a decent and respectful human being just makes you look like a fool.

          • http://twitter.com/hamybear Michael Hampton

Unlike you, I don’t need to try and pretend to be tough on a message board to prove my masculinity. I am perfectly comfortable in my own skin.

          • Darth_Venomous

I’d rather be an Internet Tough Guy™ than an internet p*ssy like you. (chuckle)

          • DoseofReality

As a conservative, I have to say I’m ashamed at how you’ve been treated on this thread. It’s amazing how brazen fools are in front of a computer screen.

Your original comment (as far as I could find):”That doesn’t matter anyway because if it is a legitimate rape, a girl’s body will never get pregnant, so there is no reason to resist a man who is raping you. Hear that altar boys? Republicans say don’t resist the men who are raping you at the catholic church. But it’s not gay.”

Akin made an idiotic, completely stupid comment. That he is still being funded is a wonderful example of just how crappy politics are. ‘Welp, we need the seat, but both candidates are crap – guess we choose the lesser of two evils!’ is pretty much how I see most “political choices” as occurring. Whether the party actually chooses the lesser of two evils is always going to be a matter of debate, but that’s the beauty of everyone having different opinions. However, Akin is a fool and should not be defended for his comment. It should never have been said.

Now, your sudden jump to the entirety of the Republican Party saying “don’t resist rape” is a fallacious move. I understand what you are doing with it, but the bottom line is 1. it’s incorrect and 2. you didn’t state your transition well. At the very least, it might have been helpful to point out, “And since the RNC is supporting Akin, it’s pretty much like the whole Republican Party is condoning what he said” before jumping into broad generalizations. Now, I personally am not offended by this generalization because I don’t identify as Republican, only Conservative, and I do not think the two are one in the same 100% of the time. Still, I understand your frustration with seeing the RNC support a man who made a horrible statement, and I second that frustration. It’s an unfortunate side effect of the nature of politics, and politics being populated by idiots, as well as people who have long ago lost any sense of the fact that they are here to serve America, not be selfish, self-absorbed troglodytes.

The Catholic church comment is always going to touch on a hot button issue. Again, you made a broad generalization, and those typically don’t turn out well. However, once again, I see and second your base frustration with the situation. Catholic priests were raping altar boys and the situation was hushed up. It’s not right – but it is human nature. Unfortunately, even those who purport to be followers of God fall prey to the vices of covering their asses and trying to sweep things under the rug. From a Christian’s perspective, I can understand this knee jerk reaction, since it does seem like the (generally) left-leaning Media JUMPS on ANY “Christian” misconduct, while, say, trying to lessen the blow of other religious misconduct (i.e. the Muslims in Lybia who murdered Americans and sodomized our Ambassador). That still doesn’t make a cover-up right – it never is.

I’m confused as to where the “it’s not gay” factors in. Perhaps I missed that sub-thread before your comment. Since I don’t know what it’s supposed to imply and I could go a few different routes, I’ll leave that part alone.

I hope this was at least a more respectful, logical response to what you said, rather than practically every other comment I’ve read. Again, I am ashamed for everyone’s behavior. You people all look like complete fools, immature and flinging your crap like monkeys as opposed to holding intelligent discourse. Though we disagree on things, and though I cannot support your homosexuality, I commend you, Michael, for holding yourself to a higher level of debate than those around you. I respect you for that, and I hope you can understand that most people devolve to the lowest common denominator when little to no consequence for their behavior is put in place. There are still people like me in the world that are capable of having a rational discussion despite disagreement.

On a final note: Though I am a Christian (and I am fully prepared to get flamed for what I’m about to say), I support the idea of “gay marriage.” The only thing I take issue with is calling it “marriage” because I see marriage as an institution of God, meant for one man and one woman. However! The concept of government recognized marriage (i.e. the ability to be on your partner’s healthcare plan, the ability to have the same tax breaks, etc) doesn’t offend me in the least. Homosexuals are human beings, and if they are in a long term relationship, just like other human beings, they should not be denied benefits simply because they’re two men or two women. The government has no place to regulate “benefits” based on the gender of anyone.

Now, to be perfectly clear: I don’t think homosexuality is right. I don’t support it. It is against my faith. But that doesn’t make you any less of a person, Michael, or any less eligible for possession of rights in this country.

      • Darlene Minnie Catellier

Stress can effect ovulation, it can IN NO WAY 100 percent block pregnancy for a rape victim, raped victims do get pregnant. Those who choose to repeat this garbage are twisting the knife in further on the victims of rape, and insulting and offending women in general. This kind of complete bullshit just goes to show how little men know about women, in general. This reminds of of another myth that men without the skills to please a woman pass around. “A womans climax has no biological duty, and therefore is irrevelant” Just what men with no stamina or skill say……look it up, don’t take my word for it, maybe you’ll learn something.

There’s actually a name for that type of meditation.
It’s called “Zazen”, or more commonly “walking meditation” b/c it is typified by walking. Unless you’re exceedingly old or you’re new at walking you normally put no thought into. You just let the body do it using the “muscle memory” you’ve trained into it.

It really means putting yourself into a mental state where you turn the self-evaluation part off and let the body respond as you’ve trained it.

It allows the “muscle memory” to work unhindered by consciousness. And it works.

From the way he talks about it, I’m fairly certain this bonehead follows the Hollywoodized version of meditation w/”OM”s & all, though.

Hypocrisy is the stock-in-trade for liberals.

  • Guest

Aim for the neck. It always fun to watch the liberal gurgle while suffering.

    • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

No, don’t let them suffer. That’s for God.

  • Marcy Cook

His kids have body guards…..who the heck is he kidding? His kids can OM will the body guards do the shooting. Pish…

  • CA Oathkeeper

Hope he doesn’t expect my kids–who’ve all been familiarized with pistols and rifles–to come to the aid of his pussified brood. When his security team bails, and they will, his kids are fa-hucked!

  • Judith Lewis

I love the way these wealthy blacks expound on how the poor are ignored by us but they don’t carry their black selves into the hood to help lift their people out of poverty or help to give them a leg up. They’re too busy waxing eloquent. What a hypocrite!

    • Beezy

Take a drive into Harlem and see what kind of work he does there. You obviously dont know dick about the Simmons family.

      • Lenny Moorman

Speaking of knowing dick, @brendan baptiste, get off of Simmons’ . you are such a dick rider you can’t even see the obvious hypocrisy slapping you in your racist face. F–k The Police is his favorite song, and he bitches about someone else using a gun for safe and legal purposes. It’s like I said, get off his jock.

        • Hal Fast

strap. U forgot one word Lenny. LOL! :)

      • Judith Lewis

The last time I heard about Harlem, it is not considered the hood anymore. I’m talking about the true inner cities where people are being killed regularly. If all these “caring blacks” who are roling in bling and driving expensive cars and “cool threads” and trying to impress people would put their money where their mouths are, maybe the inner cities would start being decent neighborhoods where the kids can grow up to take their rightful places in society.

        • Derelictus

Err well no, Harlem still has serious problems with crime and youth unemployment. Actually many of their residents don’t really see this as a “problem” per se…they’re just keepin it real.

        • Hal Fast

Right on Judith, they are all big “H’s”, and they could give a rats ass about skidrow people and getting them off the street. Poverty is at a all time high under B.O. and foodstamp and EBT card usage is skyrocketing. That isn’t helping, that is hindering if kept at too long and most make it a lifestyle and don’t want to work, but would rather drink, do drugs and just waste their lives.

Yeah he doesn’t want them to defend themselves when his buddies try to rape them

      • elijahzabmom

        Not cool.

    • Courtney T L Haynes

Well, wulfheard, as you can imagine most mainstream Americans aren’t accustomed to people allowing their children to handle guns. It’s a natural reaction anyone would have. Doesn’t speak well of Malkin if someone who’s favorite song is “f**** tha police” even thinks her behavior is out of line.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002109532283 Jillane Kent

Having a hard time noting irony, are we? I would beg to differ, though, with your belief that children learning to use firearms is somehow out of the mainstream. Learning to use a firearm for self defense or self sufficiency (hunting) is actually quite common in most areas of the country.

      • Jessica Grace

Yeah because Simmons is the standard and judge on behavior…He got rich off of Police Killer Rap and now can sit and act like he is organic and new,Sitting on a pile of cash that is!

      • Tera Blair Kirk

it’s irrelevant that someone who’s favorite song is “f*** tha police” thinks Malkin’s behavior is out of line. And don’t speak for mainstream America, we’re not against guns, the far left is.

        • Mini14’sBlkStrat

They only seem to be against gun owning law abiding citizens.

          • http://www.facebook.com/steve.hobson3 Steve Hobson

That’s right – No conversation about Three Strikes you are Out – for using guns in the commission of a crime.

        • crazygemini12

          Sigh. It’s “whose”, idiot.

      • James

If Russell Simmon’s favorite song is “F…. tha Police” then any opinions he offers on the subject of authority (i.e. – the 2nd Amendment and its authority) are forfeit. This is a logical conclusion. So for Russell Simmons to have more influence with you Courtney, draws any opinion you have on the matter into doubt as well.

        Further noted:
In Heller vs. District of Columbia, (2010) the United States Supreme Court in its decision noted that the police cannot be everywhere, and as such it is logical and indeed necessary to conclude that guns are allowed in the home, in working condition, and that ammunition for the firearm also is protected under the definition of keeping and bearing arms in the home.

        Finally noted:
Courtney: “most mainstream Americans aren’t accustomed… their children to handle guns.” <—- this is your opinion, overly stretched to include a majority of 300 million people. For this overbroad statement, your opinion on my behalf is rescinded. Just needed to be on the record for myself there.

      • Derelictus

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=36107969 Courtney Morgan

I think the whole thing is a local culture issue that is being turned into a political one with each party’s stance on gun control. I used to work in a sporting goods store. All of my regular customers, including those I knew voted democrat, taught their children to use firearms as soon as they were old enough to take the course. In the Ozarks, where most of my family lives and nearly everyone votes democrat, people are shocked when they meet someone who does not use guns and teach their children to use them.

          • gitarzan57

Courtney, ALL the Southern Democrats are pro gun. How many of you in Ozarks voted for Obama? I’m a BIG Black Oak Arkansas fan and I have NEVER seen a black person at any of their concerts. Hell, I was afraid of some of the FEMALE Black Oak fans. Those are some real hard cases, I’m hear to tell ya. Democrats or not, I doubt those folks are Obama voters.

          • Hal Fast

      • terri avramis

Most Americans are not mainstream…we are individuals, who have our own views and thoughts….and really don’t care what the koolaid drinkers think…

      • Rick Nelson

How do you know what most mainstream Americans are accustomed to?You must mean liberals .The 2nd Amendment gives us this right and we are correct it teaching our children to handle firearms responsibly. If more people took the time and actually taught firearm safety there would be less accidents.I took my daughter hunting at the age of 5 and not only did she enjoy it,but it gave us a different bond.I never want my daughters to be victims and will do anything in my power to see they have the knowledge to protect themselves.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1290430672 George E Miner

      • tiorbinist

Sorry, Courtney TL Haynes, you garbled your thought, there. Here, let me fix it for you: “Doesn’t it speak well of Malkin that a degenerate whose favorite song is “f*** tha police” thinks her behavior is out of line?”

It never reflects badly on a mother who sees to it that her daughter is able to do _anything_ competently and safely. And it never reflects badly on her when someone who hasn’t the sense prepare his daughters for real life tries to put her down.

      • Mini14’sBlkStrat

Stop projecting & using Pretzel logic.
I started teaching my Daughter about guns & safety when She was 10. Today She’s confident that she can succeed at whatever she attempts , as are All the people I know who learned about firearms. I also believe that most main stream Americans would like to learn proper gun handling & safety. It’s one of those good things to have knowledge about.

      • http://www.facebook.com/TeresiaTX.Aggie Teresia Coleman Avila

Well, Courtney, perhaps the people you know and that live in your state might be freaked out but one of the reasons most (sadly not all) vicious criminals don’t do their crimes in Texas is because many Texas children are taught how to use guns to hunt the food they and their families will later consume, taught gun safety, taught real guns are not toys, and taught how to defend themselves from thieves, rapists, criminals, and murders! We also understand our rights under the constitutions of America and the sovereign state of Texas. And, Texas has no trouble putting away criminals… now we are working on getting crooked lawyers, prosecutors, law enforcement officials, and judges-that intentionally pervert and subvert the law in order to “solve” a crime and thereby withhold vital facts that cause the incarsaration of innocent people

        • http://www.facebook.com/TeresiaTX.Aggie Teresia Coleman Avila

…the incarceration of innocent people put away like the criminals they are! There are hundreds of thousands of honest, hard-working, underpaid lawyers, prosecutors, law enforcement officials, and judges in Texas, so we don’t need to discover that innocent people have been put in prison, or to death, due to the criminal activities of those who have sworn to uphold the law!

    • Beezy

He has had maybe 5 “gangster rappers” on his label. Thats hardly building a career on it considering he has signed hundreds of artist from rock to R&B. Most of his fame was made on the backs of the Beastie Boys, Run DMC, and LL Cool J. The guy is a vegetarian, a buddhist, and a PETA activist. Do some homework before you stereotype.

      • http://www.facebook.com/jaycee.fisher Jaycee Fisher

“People who support PETA even after they learn about their mass killing and embrace of abusive shelters don’t love animals and they know it. They may claim they do. They may have Facebook pages filled with animal images and stickers with an…imal related messages on their car. But they don’t. For such people, a misplaced trust and need to identify with PETA is more important than the professed values that presumably led them to support PETA in the first place. In fact, it is more important than the animals themselves because they are willing to embrace the suffering and death of animals so long as that suffering and death is caused by PETA or the “shelters” PETA defends.” http://www.nathanwinograd.com/?p=9597

In 2011 they had a 95.7% kill rate. They don’t even try to adopt them out. Their sole purpose is to KILL and they only support other organizations that KILL. Their reasons for killing are all based upon lies. IF YOU SUPPORT THEM THE BLOOD OF THEIR VICTIMS IS ON YOUR HANDS.

Let me guess, PETA gets money for shelters and money for their greedy hands so they can be like planned abortionhood. Do they get Gov money too? I wouldn’t doubt it, it’s always about the money, bottom line.

The county shelter is located a couple of miles from PETA’s shelter (I use the word loosely when it’s used in the same sentence as PETA) The county adopts out 75% of animals taken in, Some of the animals that PETA doesn’t kill are sent to this shelter, a lot of them chickens.

To say you need a gun for protection against a rapist is a JOKE. 90% of rapes happen when the victim is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or it’s a surprise attack (jumping out of a bush or grabbing you when you don’t expect it). When someone is under the influence reaction times are slow. You will NOT be able to react in time to grab your gun and shoot. Same goes with attacks. An attacker is NOT going to sit back and give you a chance to grab your gun. Saying you NEED a gun for self protection is a JOKE. Rapists and Robbers also carry guns and when you provoke an attack the chances that YOU will be the one killed go up 500%. Stop the insanity. Stop the IGNORANCE!

    • bj

I agree, stop the ignorance! The fact is 2 out of 3 rapes are committed by someone the victim knows. Too many times by a family member or “friend” of the family. The victims do not fall into any demographic. They are male, female, seniors, infants and everyone in between. The reasons rapists rape are numerous also. Listen to your children, teach them self defense, tell them never to be alone and believe them when they tell you something isn’t right. Alcohol is a factor in 50% of rapes on college campuses, most rapes happen elsewhere where alcohol isn’t a factor. I’ll keep my gun, thank you, and use it wisely and only as a last resort.

    • Derelictus

Are you f***king serious? Yeah, stop the insanity. Just lie down and take it, you silly bitches! Unreal. Deranged liberalism in its finest form.

    • vino veritas

Guns help save people every day from violent attacks in this country and around the world. Legal firearms ownership does not contribute to or enable criminal behavior, contrary to the lies of the gun control lobby & their leftist brethren. Criminals don’t run around committing violent crimes with LEGAL firearms. Only someone who has NOT lived in an area with at least a moderate crime rate would not know this. This is a documented fact and the only way you could be ignorant of this is that you must live in a ivory tower someplace. The situations you describe are NOT particularity realistic, either, and the stat you cite regarding the probability of being killed while defending one’s self using a firearm is disingenuous and completely false. You should stop using wide-sweeping generalizations in your comments.

Who’s Russell Simmons? Does anybody care? I taught my stepdaughter how to shoot when she was 12. She naturally gravitated toward the .38 special. When she turned 21 I bought her one. Now she also likes to shoot skeet with her husband. So life goes on, she can protect herself, she enjoys shooting and people like this Simmons will remain ignorant.

Yeah- a rapper who uses his fame to teach his kids F*** tha police- seems to have a problem in teaching shildren hunting, sporting and self-defense. Meditation will not stop a rapist from violating your daughter but that ,243 will!

  • http://www.facebook.com/byron.colbert.14 Byron Colbert

I like how celebrities who are against gun rights seem to have body guards who do.

  • Robert

No 12 year old child needs to have fun with an ar 15 child abuse but right wingers dont see that .

  • GaylePutt

Who is Russell Simmons and why should I care what he thinks? My husband, a former police officer, had our son at the range when he was 12. Now my dau is in the Navy and she can shoot too. You go kids!

  • Debbie Oswald Brewster

Girls can’t be taught to defend themselves with a firearm AND meditate?

  • carlberlin

Russel Simmons is a THUG. He promots that RAP SHIT

  • Bob Barnett

My young daughter prefers to shoot the AK-47 over th AR-15 because of the reliability factor vs. the accuracy factor… I tried to convince her that the AR was a better platform, but she’s a tween and already thinks she knows everything…

    • Infinite_Indeterminism

In a given situation, reliability in firing ability IS more important than accuracy – unless you’re a sniper…

Keep in mind that the (level-headed) defender wants to stop the attack, but doesn’t CARE what happens to the attacker. AND that if the attacker comes close enough, anything is accurate enough, even a tricentennial blunderbuss…

  • Tracy Hubbell-Linden

But it’s alright for 12yo gangbangers in Chicago to be armed right, Russy? “Ommmm” is really gonna protect your daughters’ virtue should they ever have the unfortunate luck of being attacked by a sicko pervert!

  • Fred Masey

Perhaps when some hophead kicks down the front door, he’ll be impressed by the spiritual oneness of the Simmons family and join them in peaceful harmony! Personally, I’d rather have a 12 gauge than perfect pitch!

  • Esteban

Funny because Simmons is a backslidden member of Islam. A backslidden member is any member that does not adhere to the radical mission of bringing the world into submission or destroy it. His more radical brothers will hand him a sword and let him prove his allegiance. Let’s see how meditating on that will make his buddies feel better.

  • http://www.facebook.com/desertman50 Ronald Stanbro

How about F**k the Simmons for being a panty waist liberal hypocrite…law enforcement officers unlike sports figures, actually earn the title Hero.

  • Douglas Moose

There’s nothing more spiritually soothing and confidence enhancing than the knowledge you have the right, the freedom, and the skills to protect yourself and others with the same weapons an attacker might have. Meditate on THAT!

  • Douglas Moose

I guess you never watched Kung Fu? Walk softly, be spiritual, but be ready, willing, and able to kick evil’s butt!!

  • Eliza

when and if the time comes Michele’s daughter will be prepared and simmons daughter may mediate herself into the next life. Get with it every girl needs to defend herself.

  • jmz

lets see russel teaches his kids not to defend themselves, and teaches others kids, to pinp smoke weed, ho, thug life, 187 etc. while im a big fan of meditation, martial arts as self defense and 2A. ol russieboy dosent seem to understand how ignorant his liberal bumpersticker remark just made him. but in rullels defens meditation stops bullets…i saw it in kung fu and the matrix…

  • http://www.facebook.com/patricia.hanas Patricia Hanas

It is better for Children to learn how to responsibly handle a gun at a certain age, and realize the seriousness of it! It is good to be able to defend yourself! You may never have to pull the trigger, but if someone broke into my house, and I had children, I sure would like them to defend themselves, instead of freaking out , and not knowing what do!

  • Larry Graham

My daughter got a M-4 shorty with an EoTech for her b-day….so piss off libs.

  • http://twitter.com/RichLavino Rich Lavino

If I got a Russel Simmons prepaid credit card, just exactly how much does he skim off the top?

  • http://www.facebook.com/paulmr1 Paul Michael Robinson

Typical….song taste. NOT TYPICAL raising your own children (being a black man). Good job there!

  • Psalmist1972

According to obama, you’re just into guns because of your anger, hatred, racism and the heartbreak of psoriasis! LOL

  • Robert R Kircher Jr.

Although we do not have weapons in the house both my girls have learned how to shot and respect firearms. Maybe if these anti gun zealots would take the time learn more about firearms at a young age they would fear them so much as adults.

  • Jessica Grace

Just because kids in his (OLD)neighborhood use them to kill each other doesn’t give him the right to talk!

  • rancher0285

With BJ Clinton, the Kennedys, Anthony Weiner, Gary Hart, John Edwards, Al Gore etc it is no wonder liberal men do not want women to know self defense.

  • http://www.facebook.com/natalie.d.riley Natalie Damron Riley

Way to go Michelle. We have a constitutional right to bear arms. As a mom you have taken responsibility to teach your daughter a respect for guns and how to use them safely. We raised our son with the same teachings. He has his concealed carry permit and don’t feel we were failures as parents when he received it. Nor do we feel feel like failures that we taught him christianity and morals as well as taking responsiblity for his actions instead of how to meditate. He’s fine man and producing member of society. Unlike Russell Simmons he doesn’t condone a song about “fing the police”.

  • People Corporation

    Do it for Treyvon Michelle!

    • People Corporation

Oops, I meant do it because of Trayvon

  • People Corporation

Simmons prefers his kids to go to a happy place as opposed to putting up a fight. Its much easier, for him.

  • Chris Thomas

Glad to see you practice gun control. Steady hand and a good sight picture.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bill.philpott1 Bill Philpott

My daughters learned to shoot and I have taken the granddaughters shooting too. I also tell them that they don’t have to go kill somebody just cause they can shoot a gun. Some people are too stupid to be believed.

  • http://www.facebook.com/armedrepublican Brian Page

Russel simmons is a douchebag… anyone who doesnt think that getting rid of the second amendment is like throwing our constitution in a shredder. if you disarm the people they have no way of fighting back against a tyrannical govt.

Well, our kids need some way to defend themselves from your kids.

  • LaBeep

Silly me. After being raped a few years ago, I went out and learned how to be a responsible gun owner (including everything one must know in order to earn a concealed carry permit). I could have saved myself so much time and trouble had it occurred to me to “meditate” the rapist off of me…

  • calmo

Remember the recent case where an 11-year-old had to fend for herself when two men crashed through the front door and headed upstairs toward her? She grabbed her daddy’s Savage pump shotgun, and taking the one-knee stance as he taught her, blew away the first guy on the stairs. Then she caught the one behind him in the shoulder. He staggered outside where he bled to death before help arrived. Neither criminal will bother anyone else, ever. I think it’s great that criminals can know even home-alone kids are trained to prevent them from perpetrating their vicious atrocities. I suppose Simmons’ kids will meditate the criminals away? And who might that deter?

  • Donald Koller

    Who is the Simmins guy?

  • calmo

BTW, why is it that girls shouldn’t learn to defend themselves? Are they supposed to be open game to anything and everybody?

    • http://www.facebook.com/richard.jefferies.96 Richard Jefferies

That’s what libs want. The only liberation they want for women is sexual liberation because it serves their degenerate appetite.

  • C A da Silva

Gangsta to eunuch so fast it gives you whiplash!

  • Flunking_retirement

I know meditation really comes in handy for a young women facing a rapist, but whats wrong with teaching a 12 years old to shoot safely? Would you rather they just pick up a gun and start firing? I

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/P2YN5KQFRHKYGBLYDZKLAUE5XE Joe

So, the Democrat liberal multimillionaire Simmons who takes advantage of the poor by selling them his own debit cards with high “fees” and interest rates, has little tolerance for the way others raise their children? I thought he was a tolerant person.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/P2YN5KQFRHKYGBLYDZKLAUE5XE Joe

Simmons children will have ARMED body guards if wanted when they grow up. No need to teach teem self defense. They have multimillionaire Daddy.

  • Greg B

so i guess if we F the police we WILL have to defend ourselves. Thanks for making the point Russel.Don,t worry nobody will mistaken you for one the “smart” people.

  • JD Olson

Yes, well said, because everyone recognizes that the gangsta-rap community has become synonymous with respect for da bitches and ho’s.

  • Legirons

Simmon’s daughters don’t need to carry a firearm, he has sufficient security around them all that carry all the weapons. Guys like Simmons don’t do the dirty work themselves, he pays others to do it. Pathetic poser.

  • John

Well, when the time cimes for his family to defend themselfs against what ever may come, he can have them meditate.

  • http://www.facebook.com/richard.jefferies.96 Richard Jefferies

That was my favorite pictures from the girls shooting. Looks like an Armalite Mod 1 with 8X scope. I could be wrong, I can’t see the stamp. That’s going to be my daughter in a couple of years. Keep it up conservatives. Those EBRs are the only thing keeping us moderately free at the moment.

  • http://twitter.com/KariOBrien12 Kari OBrien

What a twit he is..Hey Russell..my 15 year old daughter is going out hunting with a bow and in November a gun! gasp!

  • vino veritas

I’d like to know what kind of firearm Michelle owns and what she has trained her daughter to use. Must say, I never really pictured her as the gun-owning type but this is awesome to know! Wonder if she & her family ever do competitions?
Simmon’s is a clown, hypocrite and a liar. Regardless of how many ‘gangsta’ rappers he has directly on his label, he is still making his creme off the top of an industry that promotes & rakes in ungodly amounts of money from violent iconography involving guns and weapons of all types. Regardless of whether he does not use firearms in his personal life nor the amount of pseudo-tantric rituals he performs, these facts about him will not ever change. In addition, the fact that his chosen industry perpetuates vile misogyny against woman on a daily basis and the fact that he has more than enough money to live far away from crime-infested areas as well as hire 24/7 protection for his family says all that needs saying about his absurdly hypocritical position on woman or firearms.

  • Katheryn Hill

What business is it of Simmons?….and who is he? I’m probably missing out on some big star, but he doesn’t seem like someone I would want to know.

  • Mark

simmons is so full off shit its coming out of his ears!

  • $22639970

Who or what is a Russell Simmons and why should a grown up care what a pusscake gelding with a bad case of the vapors thinks?

  • @ThomasBearzden1

Simmons is an ass the only time he’s seen a gun was inside a car or with concrete behind it…minted access makes for a small mind!

  • DMayEADS

I have guns. I choose to have guns. I taught my son gun safety early on. I showed him the power of it, showed him how to load and shoot it safely. In other words, I taught him to respect it much like I taught him how to safely use a jig saw or a circular saw.

It must have stuck. He’s 27 now, and spending 4 days to take a handgun safety course.

  • http://www.facebook.com/walker.bennett.5 Walker Bennett

I always get a kick out of these multi-millionaires that are so offended by guns. I wonder if he would be willing to get rid of his gun-toting body guard. Nobody is forcing guns on people that don’t want them. Not everyone has a body guard to protect them and not everyone has a personal asistant to go to the grocery store and a personal chef to cook for them. When Russel Simmons starts providing me with a secutity team and starts buying my food for me, maybe then I will consider listening to his opinion about my ownership and use of guns. He has the right to voice his opinion, and I have the right to disregard it as elitist drivel.

  • buzzer7

Russ has bodyguards to protect him and his kids! The rest of us have to learn how to handle a gun!

  • Jacqueline Fields

Good for you Michelle, I’ve been shooting since I was 14 yrs old, and I can out shoot any man, and most women that I know. Self defence is vitally important, especially in these times, so I think that it’s great that you’re teaching your daughter to be a responsible shooter. Just ignore the idiots that criticize you.

  • Hal Fast

Hey Russell Simmons, is you are so holier than thou, then what’s with the F…the police being your favorite song? At least these little girls will have skills in case some thug that says F…. the police tries to kidnap her and who knows what else the scumbag would do to her. He would deserve everything he got hopefully before that happened.

No, he’d rather that 12 year old ghetto boys use guns to kill each other! What an absolute fool! YOU GO BOSS EMERITUS!!! Teach your children to safely protect themselves!!!

  • David R Priest

Awesome picture….what a great birthday present.

  • Chris Meyerson

This is why the thugs will never win a fight because we teach ours to shoot and hit what they aim at….

  • Nergal

Honestly, a child shooting a rifle is NOT that unusual.Especially in the Rocky Mountain states. Seriously, if you leave the West coast, and the Northeast coasts, and go to that BIIIIIIIIIIIIIG area in between, you find some of the most peculiar things.

  • Shawn

Good. All hard working. God fearing souls are going to need this type of training.

  • Proud2bfromtheUSA

These Ozombie’s gotta go. Those ob*ma Zombies are scary

  • 2hearts4life

Simmons doesn’t want anyone else to have guns, just those adoring & protecting him. Simmons, you are a charlatan. How much ‘meditating’ did you do before you witchcrafted your meditative ‘Fbomb the Police!’ civil ‘un-arrested perversion of art?’ Tell your story walking! Meditate on this: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” ~Isaiah 5:20

  • Semper Fi

HAHAHA A multi-millionaire says “We neglect the poor” while his Rush card fucks those same poor people with a card fee, monthly service fee, an ATM balance inquiry fee, an ATM withdrawal fee, a convenience fee, a card-to-card transfer fee, a replacement card fee, an express cash fee, and a paper statement fee. Just another piece of shit hypocrite. His entire fortune has been made on songs that glorify gun violence, even against police. Now I know why he wears hats all the time; they keep his hollow head warm.

  • Randy Jones

Michelle Malkin is just a Fox News puppet.

    • vino veritas

You are a pathetic obamabot to post something so ignorant and stupid about a woman who made it possible for you to make that comment. These dumb lib trolls never cease to amaze.

      • Hello Jerry (D)

They are just following Daddy Soros’s orders!

    • Hello Jerry (D)

And you are a OWS toolbag.

  • Timothy

Maybe you “conservative” Jim Crow lovers should actually listen to the entire remark and put it in it’s correct context. You people are good for putting out sound bites. The STORY is about how the poor and disadvantaged feel regarding the many documented and undocumented actions of the police in this country. Police officers have played a large and important part in falsely convicting the poor, the disadvantaged and ethnic minorities. Check the histories of places such as New Jersey and Upstate New York. Not to mention those southern states where many, many times the police, the defense attorney, the prosecuting attorney, the judge and most of (if not all) of the jury were members of the Ku Klux Klan. And the jurors who weren’t still shared their beliefs. Think we’ve evolved greatly since then? Hardly. WATCH THE MOVIE AMERICAN VIOLET. Also many people feel that we as a nation would benefit more from learning how to communicate rather than always wanting to resort to violence. Americans do love a war! And no matter how much gun safety you teach a 12 year old, they still don’t have a fully developed reasoning center in their little brains. Their prefrontal cortex (the area responsible for cognitive reasoning) won’t develop until about 21 years of age and with their ‘shoot first’ parents mentality, they won’t ever develop balanced reasoning skills. You’re most likely just giving these children a false sense of superiority, invincibility and the mindset that they will always be able to get to a gun to defend themselves. It’s already been proven several times that just because you teach a child about gun safety it doesn’t mean that they will adhere to those teachings. Then there’s the physiology of the fight or flight syndrome.

  • Robin Monroe

“Most mainstream Americans aren’t accustomed to people allowing their children to handle guns”?? Really? What mainstream American’s do you know? Once you get out of California or New York – you will find a lot of mainstream Americans whose children not only handle guns but do so responsibly. The NRA has a Junior marksmanship program and other youth programs with tens of thousands of kids participating. Kids who are taught to handle guns responsibly, don’t buy them on the street to shoot other kids.

  • loupgarous

Malkin’s supposed to teach her daughters to hate guns so that someohe who watches Russell SImmons’ “Def Comedy Jam” and gets off on all the objectification of women in it can rape them easier.

  • brianmouland

Hey Russi think MM was talking legal guns you have made a fortune promoting the violence done by illegal guns

  • Sharpshooter

Yet when the Sh*t hits the fan, he will be one of the first to call some one with a weapon to protect his worthless *ss. another waste of black skin!

    • deejayaz

Agree and I can pretty much bet my bank (such as it is in the past four years) that Simmons has armed body guards.

  • David Minks II

My family is from the south, and kids are taught from an early age to respect firearms. I think it’s great what you’re doing with your daughter, Michelle. If more parents taught their children a healthy respect for firearms and the 2nd Amendment then this country would be a safer place.

Much love and admiration to you and your family! Keep up the fight!

  • http://twitter.com/MawMaw4Romney Donna

Street thugs don’t use safety goggles, or go to the range and shoot in a controlled area. They just shoot wildly into a crowd, often hitting innocent children. Where is Simmons outrage about that?? I wonder how many street kids Simmons has helped, fed, given his money to? And who has been denied an education in this country?? I wonder if he’s heard of FAMU, the NAACP, and the UNCF?? There’s more opportunities for minorities – they are getting degrees in prison from taxpayer money.
    Rant over..ugh.

  • Mr. Fever Head

Russell Simmon is upset when girls learn to shoot because it empowers them against misogynist like him.

  • deejayaz

I have no idea who Russell Simmons is, but I do know how to shoot and have been since I was 8 and I pray to God I never have to use it on some thug, the type of those that Simmons is probably well acquainted, but I will if the need arises.

  • Darcy

I guess listening to gun fire beats having to listen to her mom screech all day

    • Hello Jerry (D)

Will take the gunfire beats over the incoherent screeching of Russell Simmons (and you) any day!

  • Lazy Moose

Russell Simons wants us all to understand his culture, but turns a deaf ear the the conservative culture. Just because he sees a young girl shooting he thinks she is one day going to walk into a movie theater and start blasting away. Those in Russel Simmons camp have no understanding about who we are. Sorry Russell it goes both ways!!

  • Kevin M. Koop

Russell your a typical liberal coward! What a hypocrite!

  • MrHorsefly

What is a Russell Simmons? More importantly why do you people care?

  • joedog

It is obvious that Simmons and those like him feel that guns should be used on children – as he has long supported – rather than by children.
How many innocent children have been accidentally shot by underage “gangtsas” who have no firearms safety training, and blindly fire out of car windows as they drive by a rivals neighborhood?
Simmons has no problem celebrating and hero-worshipping the callous murdering scum who deal in illegal drugs and guns, yet is offended when potential victims learn how to defend themselves.

  • http://www.facebook.com/niko.duranbardou Niko Duran Bardou

Michelle malkin magdalang is the trashqueen by excellence , though not as useful as excrements , she only stinks that way!

Meanwhile a gang war broke out with shots fired at the BET awards the other night between two feuding rappers. Wonder if Russ is talking about that today. Nah that’s no big deal right?

  • Isahiah62

bigger consciousness- LOL his daughters are growing up with MOMMA Kimora Lee, filmed on her reality TV show, enjoying the most extravagant materialism you may have ever witnessed- no guns just lots of stuff- yeah values. KMA Simmons you nasty hypocrite making light of 9-11 dead- what a PIG

  • Jim Rasmussen

The only thing I find shocking is the fact that Michelle has a 12 year old kid.

  • Hello Jerry (D)

Russ needs to eat a cheeseburger, he looks like a cancer patient.

  • Kurt Nordquist

@Simmons: Teaching my kids how to deal with the likes of you and your kids. Gangsta rappers. Not music, not bad music, obnoxious noise!

  • John Hines

Maybe he was shocked that the guns these girls are shooting still have serial numbers on them! Maybe he was shocked that these girls know how to properly hold and fire a gun, unlike his associates who hold guns sideways and are too lazy to get out of their cars. Maybe he doesn’t understand that some parents are capable of raising smart children who respect guns and the police.

  • Patriot Bad Ass

The funny thing is Obama when to a fundraiser held by a former crack dealer…Jay Z…can you say hypocrisy ?

  • arealpatriot

Russell Simmons-you are a moron with too much money and zero brains. You need to just STFU! We do not care what you “think.”

  • sharkk61

Young children should be taught proper gun safety & handling by parents, especially when firearms are present in the home. Totally responsible. My sister is a hunter & has trained her 11 yr old daughter & 6 yr old son. Prayer is also proper, particularly when you choose not to teach your child proper self defense.

  • 762×51

Well I would bet his “entourage” are armed to the teeth.

  • Amy

LMAO… the guy is neck deep in the rapper/gangster world and he’s decrying violence? Who the hell takes people like this seriously?

  • Dorothy Grafton

I learned how to handle a firearm when I was perhaps 12 yrs old, which was old if you consider the pioneers of this country and their families, when every family had a gun or 2, here in the west, for protection.

These guys wouldn’t say a thing about a 12 yr. old doing kiddy porn because that would be completely normal. That’s exactly why they need to protect themselves.

I think this is the same dude that tells his listeners to call in with any sinister voting issues on Election Day. 99% of the callers complain of minor power outages at the polling places or other minor issues with the machines, which he turns into some crazy diatribe about how The Man is keeping the Black Voter down. He (and his callers) seem to forget that folks of all colors vote at those same polling places, too.

  • http://www.facebook.com/john.hanover.35 John Hanover

  • Streetiebird

Once my kid is 12, I’m going to show them how to kill a man with a Knife.

    • 1irishdell

LOL. Thanks for the laugh troll! Have a wonderful day hating everything!

      • Streetiebird

What do you mean? I’m exercising my 2nd Amendment rights to show my 12 year old the right way to kill a man by cutting his jugular vein. You’re the one hating on me :( Trying to infringe my rights and all.

        • 1irishdell

Man! You are on a roll!! You must have such a busy schedule trolling this site, endlessly providing us with a barrage of your mindless idiotic comments. And I am sure you have no children, having killed them all off yourself, exercising your right to numerous bloody abortions.

          • Streetiebird

            Wow, disgusting.

  • Adela Wagner

When I was 12 I was the victim of a kidnapping by two men. I was held for 5 days, and moved to three different locations. I wish I had known how to defend myself then, it may have helped me get away a lot sooner. But you better believe I know how now, and so does my daughter, in more ways than one. Simmons, make sure to tell your daughters you will not be teaching them how to defend themselves, and that when (and they WILL) they come across someone who will try to take advantage of them, to remember all the nice meditations, that can relax them and take them to their “special place”, while horrible things are being done to them. Thanks daddy. And tell them not to even try to call those evil police you have such disdain for, but would lay their lives down to protect those girls. You sicken decent Americans.

I’d prefer to teach my kids about safety of fire arms because they deserve to know self-defense in this world.
