This morning, Sen. Scott Brown tweeted that Rep. Todd Akin should apologize for his “legitimate rape” comment.

Apparently he’d like a little more than an apology.

Brown is now joining other Republicans in asking the Missouri congressman to drop his bid for U.S. Senate.

As a husband and father of two young women, I found Todd Akin’s comments about women and rape outrageous, inappropriate and wrong. There is no place in our public discourse for this type of offensive thinking. Not only should he apologize, but I believe Rep. Akin’s statement was so far out of bounds that he should resign the nomination for US Senate in Missouri.

Can we just get Steelman in there? This is so absurd. Who is the best choice for replacement? Not following MO too close.

I was for Brunner, myself. They’re both okay, but Steelman turns off a lot of people in the bigger towns with her momma grizzly stuff. It’s more about getting McCaskill out than any one particular person in. And from what I gather, Dems helped vote Akin in, expecting something like this.

I can only say amen to Sen. Scott Brown!

I voted for Steelman. She just didn’t have the establishment backing like Akin had. If people would have simply researched Akin and his past idiotic comments, he wouldn’t have won.

Scott Brown is a RINO, he, like Reid, hate real Republicans. Brown should do his research before he opens his mouth, but then again if he did that he would be a Republican, not a rino.

Would like to see a runoff between Steelman and Brunner, no Dims allowed this time. (Open primary in MO makes most of us think McCaskill’s folks might have tipped the numbers in favor of the guy she beat before…)
