Supporters of convicted bomber and online terrorist Brett Kimberlin have gone after another conservative activist and his family with their anti-free speech thuggery.

Ali Akbar is the president of the National Bloggers Club, the group that organized the fund to support Kimberlin’s targets. He reported the attack on Twitter this afternoon.

Twitchy has confirmed that a suspected Kimberlin associate used online intimidation tactics to target Ali and at least one member of his family. Attempts have been made to access sensitive information about his family members and to hack his personal Twitter account and multiple National Bloggers Club accounts.

But instead of retreating as these serial harassers intended, he’s reloading:

The conservative Twittersphere has his back.

Last month Michelle Malkin wrote:

For conservatives online, it is also a time-tested truism that there is great strength in numbers. When bloggers, activists, video content creators, and Twitter users on the Right unite behind common principles — fighting jihadi propaganda, exposing corruption, calling out media bias, following the progressive money trail, holding the Republican Party’s feet to the fire, etc. — we can accomplish uncommon things.

It’s time to use our combined strength to put an end to this harassment before these thugs get someone killed.

Please donate what you can to support Kimberlin’s targets.

Ace is asking bloggers to join him in a National Day of Blogger Silence this Friday.

On Friday, this site will be absolutely dead-silent, which is what Brett Kimberlin and his stalker crew seeks, and what the media and our supposed Representatives in Congress would permit.

The only post on Friday will be a bold-faced Open Letter to Congress, urging them to act and not attempt to pass the buck to others.

Wow liberals are so pathetic, the judge in this travisty should be invesitgated and the FBI pigs should do their damn jobs and arrest Kimberlin and his crank buddies.

    • kryon77

Agree with you tomtom. But may I gently suggest that calling the FBI pigs is not the best way to make them responsive. Plus, some of them are alright. Patterico reported that in his case, the agents with direct jurisdiction over his Swatting basically waived him away, but later he found some quite interested and informed FBI agents who unfortunately didn’t have jurisdiction over his case. But he point is if we make this matter national, some of the better law enforcement agents will respond.

Not to worry, Our Justice Department is non-partisan. Holder will get on this right away and file charges against the the State of Maryland, Judge Vaughey (aka Judge Forget Bradenburg), and Bret Kimberlin for trampling on Aaron Walker’s Constitutional and Civil Rights. It will happen just as soon as the lawsuits against Texas, Arizona, and others more pressing matters are complete.

I hear the judge is getting a new television show — The Marsupials Court.

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we’ll sing a victory tune
We’ll all meet back at the local saloon
We’ll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses.

    I won’t be silent!

Am I to understand that once again we have democrats attempting to intimidate politically active southern blacks in order to silence them?

That sounds like quite a story

  • PDQuig

Original obliquely threatening comment removed by author…no need to stoop to Kimberlin’s scumbag level.

  • bobby_b

” . . . used online intimidation tactics to target Ali and at least one member of his family . . . ”

I have no idea what this means.

I’m squarely on your side, and I find myself unable to build up any sense of anger or outrage about this because I have no idea what’s occurred.

So I can’t imagine that people who are NOT squarely on your side are going to be persuaded that something outrageous has happened.

Further, I can’t imagine that calling my senators to report “online intimidation tactics” without more will be very effective. That could be anything from threatening their lives to calling them fat and unpopular.

    • Taxpayer1234

He doesn’t want to go into detail because Kimberlin will just use Ali’s posts as “proof” that Ali is victimizing Kimberlin!
Insane, I know, but that’s what that stoopid judge is letting Kimberlin do to Aaron Worthing.

      • Thomas

Exactly! Every reaction is used against us.

      • AaronHarrisinAlaska

There comes a point in time when a man must stand from where he sits, arms at his side, take a deep breath and exhale a great loud “FUCK THAT NOISE!” And then go arms-a-swinging.

  • 5ftflirt

Sorry, the Day of Silence is dumb. Why do what they want? That doesn’t send a message.

    • Kate A

Technically, they aren’t being silent–they’re being called upon to use the Day of Silence to contact their Congressmen/women and tell them to pay attention to what’s going on. They just won’t post the usual on their blogs, twitter accts, etc. In other words, their blogs will be silent, but they won’t be.

    • juliusstahl

I totally agree. #SilentFriday is stupid. Pastor #Nadarkhani might well be executed that day and God knows what other catastrophes with the Euro. I am only a sporadic blogger, but I will be sure to blog on Friday and tweet like a madman. Sometimes twitter conservatives act like they are in an echo chamber and only their most intense current interests are important. Screw that.

    •!/GRHammersmith Alaskan

I agree. What we should have is a #MakeFunOfKimberlin day. Humor is our best weapon.

  • JayJacobs

The best way to deal with this guy is obviously to claim death threats and fear of one’s life with a peace order. Stop getting outsmarted.

    • JayJacobs

In fact, I’m pretty sure someone is going to threaten my life for posting that.

      • JayJacobs

but they don’t know this chica yet. Boys put on your big pants.

      • AaronHarrisinAlaska

I am going to smack your face with a flyswatter and pour salt on your garden. Does that count? 😛

  • AaronHarrisinAlaska

No. No silence. Yo, Brett, BreetyK goon squad. Come at me bros!

  • Evi L. Bloggerlady
  • SDN

Every tactic they use will work equally well for us. Somehow, I think the original Sons of Liberty would know exactly what to do.

  • DaTechGuy on DaRadio

I’m afraid I’m going to have to dissent on the “day of silence” business. The left’s entire goal is to silence us. A day of us not talking is a reason for them to cheer.

  • gtwreck

Would you guys fix it so we can use paypal rather than having to hand out financial info all over the place to donate. I would like to donate but don’t like handing out acct. Nos and Routing etc or Credit card numbers. Please consider this request.

I, also, cannot see what it is that silence — what they wish to accomplish — will get us. I wonder at the idea of giving an enemy exactly what the enemy wants, if even for a day. It’s like trying to teach a child not to throw a temper tantrum by giving him candy and anything else he wants to teach the lesson. It gets you only MORE temper tantrums (which is exactly what Kimberlin’s tactics are).

I prefer making a stronger stand than 24 hours of obedience to the enemy.

  • RhymesWithRight

I respectfully disagree with the Day of Silence. We need to be louder and more in-your-face than ever before.
