'Of course he does': Obama shamelessly plays the 'right side of history' card in Germany

During his visit to Hanover, Germany, President Obama said Sunday that he is “very proud” of German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her stance on Syrian refugees. Her policy has basically been to welcome them into her nation with open arms. For that, Obama praised Merkel as being on the “right side of history.”

As long as you agree with him, you’re on his side of history. Forget about the potential consequences.
