CBS is taking strong criticism for waiting until 5 minutes into its pregame show to mention the Jovan Belcher tragedy. Belcher reportedly killed his girlfriend and then committed suicide Saturday.
Miklasz, Woj, etc columns on Majerus tremendous tributes. CBS' head in the sand approach to Belcher story on pregame show embarrassing.

Instead of covering the Belcher tragedy CBS brought in a Victoria Secret model to make picks and babble. #Priorities

Fox's NFL pregame show opens somberly with the Belcher murder-suicide. CBS starts with produced open plugging sponsor Garmin and Super Bowl.

The network also did its best to make Belcher appear as a victim.
@HeyCallahan Agreed. CBS show makes it sound like Belcher was a victim as well. Man up.

As if that was not enough, CBS’ fantasy site explained why the horrific event would not impact anyone’s fantasy football team.
