Some residents were forced to set their horses free as the fire approached their homes and thankfully it looks like many of the animals survived:
Another successful animal rescue. Picasso, Doc & Nemo-3 horses were set free to be given a chance from #WoolseyFire All 3 survived, found their way back home. Friends notified #LASD @LACoAnimalCare @LACoLifeguards together we arranged to feed, rescue & transport them to safety. pic.twitter.com/IQoGNIKDc5

They’re also helping humans, of course:
Received a call from a thankful Malibu resident. He stated that he was stranded and our deputies drove 10-15 miles to pick up his much needed medication. A simple act of kindness during trying times pic.twitter.com/onBThEmAfB
