History was made tonight in the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament when 16 seed University of Maryland, Baltimore County upset No. 1 seed University of Virginia in a blowout 1st round win:

This makes UMBC the first 16-seed to beat a 1-see in the first round:
They’ve done it! The UMBC Retrievers are the first team to ever beat 1-seed in the first round of #MarchMadness, and it wasn’t even close.https://t.co/7zxBYcMGrH

But the UMBC win was no shocker to Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. Gov. Hogan has UMBC winning it all!
They say a 16 will never upset a 1, but we've been known to beat the odds around here from time to time. #MarchMadness #RetrieverNation pic.twitter.com/t4nu4quUlv

As for former President Barack Obama, he has Virginia making it all the way to the finals, which means Gov. Hogan is better at picking winners than he is:

Gov. Hogan’s reaction to the win was perfect:

No word yet from President Obama on his sad, sad showing.
And here’s the awesome reaction from the team:
