Hillary Clinton made a statement today on the news that President Obama is considering Republican Governor Brian Sandoval of Nevada for the Supreme Court, saying she hopes Obama “chooses a true progressive who will stand up for the values and interests of the people of this country.”

Many think the leak of Sandoval’s name was pure theater designed to allow Democrats to say that Senate Republicans won’t even consider a fellow Republican for the seat. Which is just what Harry Reid said yesterday:
