As we reported earlier, a knife wielding man in a fake suicide vest shouting “Allahu Akbar” was shot and killed by police in a Paris suburb earlier today.

The incident led to this tweet from GOP front-runner Donald Trump:

No big deal, right? He’s obviously talking about 1) the incident in Paris today and 2) the horrific sexual assaults that occurred in Cologne, Germany on New Year’s Eve.

But that’s not how anti-Trump twerps see it. Right now “Paris is in Germany” is trending nationally thanks to morons who have misinterpreted what Trump was talking about.

A presidential candidate in 08 said he visited all 57 states…
and these same imbeciles think obama is THE smartest guy in any room he’s in… almost without exception… and Trump didn’t even make a mistake….
Liberals.. again.. display an appalling lack of understanding of what punctuation is… can they really be this honking stupid?.. so consistently?…. There has to be a desperate need to trash the left’s opponents for this kind of blind grasping at the flimsiest of straws…
Hillary according to PJMedia is staring at an actual indictment….. the FBI is standing firm.. holding Lynch’s feet to the fire apparently.. threatening a mass revolt by career investigators…
There candidate is self destructing… and they have no plan B… just a vanity run by their party Bolshevik son of a bitch… who makes your average Marxist professor look downright reasonable…. so he’s not an option..
all they have left is DESTROY the reputation of the GOP front runners… they get to indulge in smear and terrorize, they’s favorite.. absolute favoritest thing… trash a man.. woman.. convince as many folks as possible that the GOP front line is E-Vile… and eats kittens… drowns puppies…
That it’s a pack of lies win’t hold them back in the least..
Like univision’s top anchor boldly declaring Cruz and Rubio are “race traitors” for being conservative republicans.. and not endorsing their no border at all policy…
This is just a tiny.. miniscule taste of just how desperately stupid they will be.. how utterly unhinged as they see 2016 slip out of their grasp…
The real crazy will come in the spring, summer… then we’ll see their full batshit crazy mode go critical… then into meltdown…..
      bet on it..

Not a fan of Obama but if you go back the the original video/speech in which Obama said “57 states” he was talking about Islam… Not the United States…

It looks like the Liberal Twitterverse is functionally illiterate. Sure, they know what a hashtag is, but they don’t seem to know what that “dot” after a bunch of words does.

Reminds of when I was a lad in school, and the teacher would ask each of us to read (aloud) “A Tale Of Two Cities”, for example. She would ask a student to read the first few paragraphs…..and then ask another student to continue, and so on. I found it so frustrating that so many of my classmates had no clue as to what a period, comma, quotation mark, question mark, etc. was. They would just read the words in a monotone, flat voice….no expression at all. Methinks some of my former classmates are the same people ‘tweeting’ above…..

  • JenniferP

People are so funny! Too bad their grammar teachers didn’t teach them about sentences.

  • Craigslist Redshirt1

Even if we go along with the idea that Trump is intentionally discussing two separate events in one tweet, the fact that he’s mentioning Germany in general and not a specific event just after he referenced a specific event in France is why people are interpreting the tweet that way. He may not be as dumb as is being suggested but at the same time, that is pretty poor communication and whoever sent that tweet should have worded it in a not-ambiguous way. You’re responsible for communicating your ideas, the audience isn’t.

    • Steve in Katy

No. The fact that so many dolts chose to misinterpret instead of seeing the meaning/importance of the tweet says a lot about the left and how, most of the time, it’s easier talking to a fence post.

      • Craigslist Redshirt1

You realize that the people who make these tweets generally aren’t the candidates themselves, but rather hired staffers being compensated to make professional-quality tweets? And the transition here between his discussion of Paris and the incidents in Germany is non-existent, which is fueling the misinterpretation.

Not helping things is the fact that Trump’s campaign already started off not exactly being accurate in anything it’s discussed (hence Trump’s many liar of the year awards).

    • john lecorchick

wrong…understanding punctuation and reading comprehension is quite the commodity among the commies…btw I want Cruz, no fan of the donald

      • Craigslist Redshirt1

Except that a period there doesn’t establish a transition to another subject; tweets are short enough that the assumption is you’re discussing just one thing UNLESS you spell it out

In any case, the Trump Campaign should have been aware of the way the tweet would have been misinterpreted just given the way he’s presented himself in the campaign and the criticism tossed at him- if he didn’t think people were looking for flimsy excuses to imply he is dumb (or rather here, not likely to reflect the likely reactions to his actions before acting/posting etc.), then he really is living on another planet. • tbmbuzz

So OK, genius, how do your professional successes in life compare to Trump’s?

      • Craigslist Redshirt1

That’s only a fair question if you could demonstrate that DuckingGold had inherited several million dollars from his father too. You give me $30 million and I’ll do something profitable with it that isn’t exploiting people’s hopeless addictions (aka gambling)

        • tbmbuzz

One truism never changes. Whiny finger waggers such as yourself are always annoying. Other people’s “hopeless addictions” – YOUR term – are none of your business. Look up the meanings of “freedom” and “liberty”. That said, you certainly would not turn $30 million into $12 billion, and frankly I’d wager that you wouldn’t turn even a penny’s profit with it. Trump has demonstrated in spades that he can make it in the real world, something no Democrat President/candidate has achieved in recent memory and few Republicans have. And I say this as a Cruz supporter. Take your whining elsewhere.

          • Craigslist Redshirt1

Again you miss the point, anyone could have done what Trump did/has done with the running head start his father secured for him- hell, you’d have to be a bit retarded not to have been as “successful” as Trump has been, given how much his ego has actually costed him. Among other millionaires, he ain’t much to write home about, according to them.

          • tbmbuzz

I don’t miss the point at all. Citing a liberal rag doesn’t prove whatever point you have either. (I stopped reading your citation at the point where the millionaire started whining about Trump’s “anti-Hispanic” comments). Two liberal millionaires quoted in a liberal rag proves nothing. To imply that having to declare bankruptcy is the result of stupidity or corruption is – well, stupid. If you think that’s what bankruptcy laws are for, more power to you. Bottom line, Trump increased his initial stake by a factor of 400 and did it through working at it. As I said above, I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to. Sayonara.

          • Craigslist Redshirt1

Why I didn’t just guess you were one of those trolls who thinks you can get away with intellectual laziness just by saying “bias” without having any real reason to other than the source is saying something you don’t like.

Context…it lacked context. People just had to intuit his tweet, right? It would have been better to tweet the world was in a mess and then reference the events, if that is even what he was doing. Of course, once he’s elected he’ll learn all he has to learn on the job. Makes me feel all secure and warm just thinking about the prospect. This is eerily similar to what they said about GWB…he has wonderful smart advisors, so his intellect is not an issue. We all know how that went.

Look guys, it’s as simple as this. Liberals and lefties are always going to distort and lie. They will always ignore the behavior of their own candidates that they decry when it comes from right candidates. I for one refuse to whip myself up or be surprised by this behavior anymore. It’s a classic distortion tactic. Just acknowledge a simple truth that they all lie, you can’t trust any of them and from there you should know how to proceed.
